    kaleidoscoped

thanks for that synesthetic punishment. ain't life grand?
  2. the strandbeests operate on the beach, which generally has prevailing winds due to the ocean and is very flat without obstacles. both of these qualities are probably required for the thing to work correctly. but its a neat idea and i'm sure if the worlds oil supply ran out tomorrow within a few months there would be numerous machines harnessing naturally available energy being used in agriculture... we are creatures of necessity, unfortunately, and always seek the path of least resistance.

    Entheogenic destinations

east timor in mid summer; betel nut, nicotinia rustica, palm wine, brugmansia, datura, panaelous cyanescens are great accompaniments to exploring mountain villages and pristine coral reefs. the bbq'd sardines on the beach are so tasty and fresh too, and each region has its own chili sauce recipe to explore... such an awesome place and people and so close to australia.
  6. and thanks Jonstn for taking the time to photograph this exhibition for us, what city was it in?
  7. this is awesome. reminds one that beauty is constructed by the complex arrangement of simple pieces. the red pill piece hints at a psychedelic undercurrent in this work. I once built a space ship from all the lego I owned, wish I still had that masterpiece...

    "Other worlds" documentary

yeah its a good doco, i posted it in the youtube videos thread a few months ago. i liked how it was so raw and didn't try and glamorise the ayahausca experience, complete with brujeria, purging and 'long nights of the soul'. jeremy narby has some interesting ideas too. everyone interested in plant shamanism should watch this vid!

the australian economy and therefore banks will be safe for at least the next decade due to the mining industry, so your 7% interest or whatever is pretty certain. whether or not putting your money in a bank is the best way to make use of it is another question... by putting your money in banks you are financing the great capitalist machine (i.e.. they will re-invest your money in news corp and bhp so you can help brainwash and pillage australia).

Is a 250 Watt Light Fine for Caapi and Viridis?

but don't you need a cooling hood for these lights? fluoro's are more efficient, produce less heat and are therefore much safer.
  14. nice one mud, i feel ya... the synchronicity path dotted with mushrooms and aboriginal lore... beautiful stuff. there is so much we can learn from traditional peoples about living, about feeling the moment, about intuition. in a way we have replaced that intuition and knowledge with technology, like using a gps to navigate when really all one needs is the features of the earth, the sun, the moon and the stars. or replacing the mangrove smorgasbord of shellfish with a supermarket of packaged and processed food. it would be comical if it weren't for the fact that the enormous resources required to make this technological replacement of natural intuition is destroying the earth. more and more I have been having dreams of hunting crabs, fish and mussels in a muddy australian mangrove swamp. so much of the world has moved away from this style of living, I think my soul is crying out for reconnection. but surely there is some merit to this technological trip western civilization has been on for the past 1e4 years... thats our dance I guess, finding a harmonious line between ancient wisdom and the bubbling fractal surface of modernity. gotta get it out there, communicate these ideas, create, redefine, interact... weave a basket that will last well beyond our own life spans.

    England UFO sighting (video)

I think all attempts to photograph UFO's are futile because they are actually projections of the psyche into reality and only exist for those individuals whose psyche is being projected. UFO's are much weirder than ET's from another galaxy - they are dimensional travellers that use the psyche as a vehicle. Graham Hancock's book 'Supernatural' presents an interesting perspective on this. Human's have reported extra-terrestrial protrusions into reality since time immemorial; UFO's are just the latest manifestation. just my two pence

    Terence McKenna

yeah I've got massive respect for mckenna's anarchistic approach to life, he would chop and change his point of view all the time, challenging himself and others to see issues in society from different perspectives. the word that springs to mind when I think of terence is 'catalyst' - he was/is a catalyst for psychedelic thinking in all facets of life, nothing more than a faucet for the fountain of creativity that pours into all of us from hyperspace...
  17. but how can all the information and entities of innerspace encounters be contained within just one extra unseen/unexperienced dimension? When you say how 'immersion in the 4d space ... reveals itself ... as ... a ... self-transforming machine elf', do you mean the information of innerspace is somehow dispersed throughout our 4 dimensions and the unseen extra spatial dimension is the keystone that allows this information to become observable to us? my feeling is that there must be a multitude of unseen dimensions to explain the depth/richness/complexity of innerspace. this is the conclusion of quantum physics too (i.e. string theory). I like your inference that the unseen dimension(s) are codependent on our dimensions, there is definitely some connectivity there. it seems to be a symbiotic relationship between planes of existence...

    Smoking mixes

dagga seems to burn okay, just need to compact it down a bit as it tends to be very fluffy. jurema (root) bark because I had some lying around and the purple colour makes the mix look amazing. maybe its placebo but seems to add an extra dimension esp with syrian rue; you can even get an affect off rue just by throwing some on hot coals and letting the smoke waft about (nice experiment to try when investigating fungi).

    Smoking mixes

sounds like a nice mix! I have been experimenting with incense mixes, using dagga flowers, kanna extract, hops, ground syrian rue and shredded jurema bark. love the contrast of flavours and colours of this mix, the purple of the jurema bark is stunning. was using a little square of brugmansia too at one point but it seems to cause too many chaotic synchronicities in life for my liking. the problem with vapourisors is that they are not powerful enough for things such as jurema and syrian rue...

    diy chilli sauce

I have been hearing lots about these "scotch bonnet" chilli's lately, from the Caribbean. anyone grow them? I wonder if they would grow in the temperate zone in spring.... jerked chicken on the bbq sounds good

    europe trip. recommendations...warnings?

yeah I've heard great things about boom, ozora in hungary is supposed to good too. will be heading to one or the other this year hopefully, never been before. if your staying until december you should probably check out northern europe first while its warm then start heading south as the cold sets in. check out Christiania in copenhagen (a "self-proclaimed autonomous neighbourhood"), and maybe amsterdam while you still can.
