Kadakuda had a grafted cutting, he got it from mitosis as well and it produced a flower bud, but it never bloomed. I think my chances are low as mine broke from the stock. I grafted it yesterday but I doubt it'll take as I never grafted something this big before. I had trouble balancing it on the stock. I've never seen the monstrose form of both A,B types set flowers before though.

Thanks a lot my friend It means a lot to a newbie like myself ;)

Don't forget nitrogen Imagine tpmXtbmc or the opposite cross ;)

I doubt it'll develop and bloom. Zelly sent me cutting with flower buds. They didn't develop....they just fell off. I don't have pollen, however if it bloomed, I can try the cement method. If anyone has any advice on how to make it develop and bloom....I'm all ears. Should I try to root the cutting? Or just let it be as it is?

Thanks Myeloblast I'm still a newbie, so I'll take your opinion. I'll post pictures when they flower.

You can put a piece of cloth or a few layers of tissue paper on it and place it in the sun to warm up and not getting burnt at the same time. However you have to put enough tissues to diffuse all the extra light.

What's wrong with this cactus and how to help him
Philocacti replied to Conv3rgence's topic in Cacti & Succulents
I had this happen to me before (with most of my cacti). Like EG advised you, fertilizing on schedule will solve it. You probably won't notice it on old growth, but the new growth will be green as can be. -
Thanks for the advice, buddy. I did that . I'm going to give a good friend of mine a piece and root the other piece. Thought I'd share this "Ecuadorian pachanoiXpsycho0" pup (seeds from nitrogen). This cross produced a lot of sexy individuals. One of my favorite crosses.

Good luck Mike. Wish you the best man.

I was listening to music with my headphones while starring at my plant. I felt the wire of the headphones get caught up in something and I heard something fall behind me. This what I have found. Ironically, I was just looking at it and wondering how this big crest segment is holding itself up with its bigger part suspended in the air. This is what's left on the stock.

Hey bit Thanks for the tip, but they don't bother me at all. I get a few seeds and they get some too. My Lophophoras produce enough for me and other small critters ;)
-
They take the seed and part of the fruit. But sometimes a seed gets left behind.
-
They got to the seeds first....

Why??? They look healthy and attractive too. Why not give them away or even sell them? I'm sure a lot people (including me) would like them.

Edimia ????? What is it?
Philocacti replied to Philocacti's question in Cactus & Succulent Identification
One seed pod finally exploded. I'm excited to plant them -
This is an "Ecuadorian pachanoi X Psycho0" grown from seeds which was gifted to me by nitrogen 3 years ago. I grafted it along with another one of its own siblings to pereskiopsis while the rest of the batch was left to grow on their own roots. I fell in love with this one starting this growing season but a couple of months back it started to display this stripped glaucious pattern which I've never seen before. I called it Zebra.

Man, your contribution to the cactus community is invaluable. Cheers my brother. -
Frankly I don't understand what's written here, but one of my SSS02Xpachanoi have similar symptoms
-
I'm no expert by any means but it sure looks similar to the one I have. I'm curious to find out what it is.
