    Positive trade list

It was just an idea that I had been going over in my head & made the decision I'd float it & see how it goes. I thought that the guidelines that I stipulated in the first post were pretty straight forward & would result in a name & votes not multiple name posts. The reason I wanted to avoid negative votes was because I didn't want it turning into a possible bitch session. It was just meant to promote good service. But if it's too flawed then by all means remove it. Don't know unless you try right?

Good idea but I have a really erratic work schedule & may go long periods without being able to update. If people just have a scan for names before adding to the list it should work pretty smoothly. I'm sure it will get left by the wayside if the idea is a failure.

    Boswellia and Commiphora seeds

I am pretty sure that it is an aromatic species. This is what I've been led to believe anyway. They are still too small for me to feel comfortable breaking sections off to have a good sniff (about 10cm-20cm each). Marcel: I haven't imported them myself but have had them on my watch list for quite a while. I am fairly confident that 100 boswellia sacra seeds would get through OK. I will be getting myself some in a few weeks so I can leave a post about my success if anyone is interested.

    Boswellia and Commiphora seeds

Hey Marcel, there is also an American vendor selling Boswellia Sacra seeds on ebay 100 seeds for $25. I have had varied success with Commiphora Schimperi & have actually planted another batch of seeds yesterday. To me the trouble lies in getting them to germinate. Best results for me have been in a premium seed raising mix with some sand & perlite added. After planting the seeds place pot in ziplock bag & place in full sun. If they haven't sprouted in a couple of weeks then they probably won't. This technique might not be optimal but has worked best for me. once they have sprouted they are actually pretty damn resilient if potted in the appropriate soil medium. good luck

    Wanted plants

Hi Tripsis, Unfortunately only 3 of my cashew plants survived Yasi & they are only one foot a piece. But..... I got my seeds from ebay sent over from India. They took a while to arrive but they were definitely viable 15 out of 20 was my initial count until a fence landed on them. My local nursery is pretty good & they usually have allspice in stock they may very well have some of the others too. I will be going there on Wednesday so if you don't have any luck before then I should be able to help you out on some level. Peace Muskrat
