  1. So i presume you refer to the spore print/live culture trading thread. It is continuous and hence works like this:

lets pretend I offer a oyster culture the VVVV indicates "offer"

    VVVVVVVV oyster culture VVVVVVVVVV

Next person wants the oyster and offers (in order to get it you need to offer...continuous trading)

    VVVVVVVV XYZ spore print VVVVVVVV

    ETC

    ETC

All prints for mycroscopy purposes only ofcourse, unless from edibles

    hope that makes sense :)

  2. Rather than preparing the MIX with veggies/herbs from the grocer, which often harbour high residues of pesticides (esp. the brassicaceae) we collect "wild" edible greens from the garden dayly...dandelion, clover, nettle, chickweed etc. add milk honey cinnamon, blend it...done.

  4. Avoiding toxins sounds like a good strategy, whitewind (I see that according to wikipedia, however, toxin refers to a "poisonous substance produced within living cells or organisms"; I assume you mean avoid toxic compounds in general?)...

What about the balance of carbohydrates and proteins? I have been reading about the Atkins diet and how a protein rich diet which minimal carbs, which is what our ancestors would have presumably been about, may help prevent cancer.

Is there any evidence that indigenous people living their traditional way of life exhibit less incidence of cancer than modern western people? This seems to be a common hypothesis but I have not seen too much evidence. Given that our life expectancy is much higher than traditional peoples, and that cancer tends to occur in the later stages of life, it seems a difficult thing to prove.

I found this to be a quite interesting docu, touching on those subjects...

  5. Hi guys, i'm new here, but would love to try my hand at growing for the first time, if anyone can help out a first timer with a print or any advice on growing from scratch I would be incredibly grateful!

Grow teks for EDIBLES are posted and pinned in this sub-forum (how to grow oysters and method champignon). For ease I would rather start with tissue culture than with spores.

  6. no treatment of the rice needed-its sterile-...just inject. I even think moisture is no issue at all, had a colonised king-oyster pack in the fridge for 6 month (still with open venting hole) mycelium remained very lively.

Rachel Wotton is a sex worker whose client list includes several people with disabilities.

Broadcast date: Tuesday 31 January 2012

Rachel Wotton says that people with a disability have adult desires just like anyone else, and for those without a partner a sex worker can be a godsend.

Often it's the parents of the client who initiate contact with her, on behalf of their adult child.

Rachel is the co-founder of a network that seeks to bring, as she says, two of the most marginalised groups of people in the community together: Touching Base.

She was recently the subject of an SBS documentary called Scarlet Road.
