hehe, I love how presumptuous EVERYONE is in this thread. Although I gotta say sly condescension isn't really good form, and being sarcastic about everything online doesn't work for anyone at all. Svarg26, not everyone can guess your point (even if you thinks it's obvious), don't be such a smartarse, I imagine a lot of us here are against big pharma and their corruption of science, so how about you just make that your point.. you know, make it clearly, not some sarcastic crap that does not translate into internet speak. I suppose now I'm gonna be the next pro-big-pharma shill for suggesting you try to keep it civil. I usually dig your posts actually, pretty informative so it's a shame we can't continue the actual discussion without petty egoic personal crap. We could all use a little attitude adjustment possibly and not jump the gun, or give people reason to, through condescending sarcastic posts. If everyone here is so deluded by big pharma, maybe try a less abrasive method to get your point across to us. You make some interesting points, too bad that instead of discussing that we're stuck on discussing etiquette. Just goes to show how far politeness can go, instead of being rude and halting an otherwise interesting discussion. ...On the dubious credibility of big pharma sponsored science, are there any "underground" scientific goings on? Not sanctioned by corporations or governments, just self funded grass roots real scientific knowledge that hasn't got some conflict of interest distorting it all.

Could be a placebo effect, but I've found that after eliminating fluoride from my diet my mind doesn't seem so cloudy. Clarity of intuition. The thing is, with being brainwashed or chemically lobotomised, you never know what you're missing out on, in terms of what you could know.
  4. It seems the greatest illusion the brain can come up with is that we've got it all figured out, or that we can figure it all out even. I used to be agnostic until I experienced gnosis. I used to discount faith until I knew. Belief? Well.. in the same way I believe gravity holds me down. I just KNOW what I experienced and use the general terms that we've built as an empirical consensus of the phenomenon, like the term "gravity". Spirits are a convenient way to describe this connection to the divine/the universe. They are gods angels/demons, and I am god. They are not external at all, nothing is. I think science proves that with its model/myth of quantum mechanics. Are people who believe the world is round just "round earth theists"? After receiving evidence that the world is round, you cannot believe the deluded flat earth society anymore. And when they ask how do you know, you can tell them to go search for the sun at the end of the horizon and when they reach their end at the beginning of their journey they'll laugh at their prior "skepticism" which doubts it's own ability to find out even. I can only construct arguments because the confounding of ones own personal belief structures can only be experienced... personally. My idiosyncratic synchronicities and telepathic "out there" experiences only make sense to me, you would easily pick apart my personal experience as wish fulfillment and selective association of someone who wants to believe (maybe that is the case? Maybe wanting to see the connection allows it to be seen. Maybe wanting to be disconnected, causes the disconnection). The only proof needed is your own personal experience of what is truth. As far as arguments go, this is inherently a circular argument as any attempt to prove the phenomena is plainly conjecture and open for discussion (ad infinitum) the actual answer is for you to see yourself. I get over this tired old cliché but... "Nobody can be told what the matrix is, you need to see it for yourself"

Bah! I'm over the "well, compare it to africa" type of arguments. Sure, other countries are getting beaten into submission while we're just hypnotised to submit. I don't know what's worse, a directly visible tyranny, or a hidden tyranny masquerading as freedom which everyone believes in. Perhaps there wouldn't be such disparity between rich and poor if we weren't always on the consumer treadmill thanks to the hypnotic lure of tv, coupled with the effects of fluoride. It'd be better in the long term if we all died from water borne diseases then kept this bullshit system going with the aid of our "healthy" water induced state of mind. The mental capacity of us privileged westerners means we're already dead. When the boot of tyranny isn't made all warm and fuzzy by the opiates of the masses, then we might just wake up to the fact we're getting kicked in the face.
  6. I dunno. I mean I doubt that TT is really that consistent with their bias; they cover the dangers of fluoride in water and toothpaste and then go through a top ten toothpastes with no mention of their fluoride content. They just run whatever is sensational and gets them ratings. I think with the amount of businesses that would loose out, the need to deforest native trees (including our national emblem) and the costs and impossibility of implementing such legislation which would turn any conservationist with a native collection into a criminal is pretty alarming news! I mean, would one then need a license to be a "collector" or what? I'm getting pretty revved up and I'm usually extremely placid, I think this would be great sensationalist pro common sense propaganda, it might be good for them for a change. ...unless they're part of the conspiracy to lobotmise the human mind and wouldn't run with anything like this. I like the idea that if one of the major current affair shows runs with the anti-drug hysteria the other could balance that with some common sense (doubtful I know). Oh yeah, one of these shows is running (or already has) a story about the evils of aspartame! See, these shows aren't all that bad ...I'd still never watch them.

Oh yeah, and notice how in both the eye of providence and this album cover the eye is in front of a sunbeam, symbolising sun worship. Zen Peddler Blue Greenie is a sun cult illuminati meanie. "we mean you no harm" sure, sure, notice how all these illuminati cunts always pretend to be the good guys! I'm onto you and your hypnotic music subliminally programing us to aid you in world domination, not no more! I've heard these work well The symbol of the sunshine that brings awareness at the pinnacle of all structures (philosophical, political, social, personal), which is a crystal clear lucid awareness... is not the paranoid idea that some boogeymen are watching you. Now the talismanic power of the symbols in the dollar is the secret intelligence that watches and controls you via its own hierarchies. It is an autonomous thought form feeding off our belief in it. Archetypal symbols such as these are used by crafty occultist "entrepreneurs" to market their product in a more esoteric and godlike capacity that unconsciously engenders more faith in it, it becomes the mechanistic manifestation of our subconscious belief in it and it only controls us as much as we control our beliefs, or are controlled by them. ...don't blame the symbols. It would be like blaming a pentagram for being such a beautiful symmetry. The intent is what's important. [edit] This has lots of interesting websites actually.

I'd rather bring in my own refillable drink containers with good clean water to university than blunt my intuition and pit my teeth. It seems that education is there to lobotomise free thinking and systematically, like a production line, create degrees that certify you are a well trained monkey that can repeat what their lecturers had said. Higher learning is just another hoop to jump through to reshape your intellect into a mold that's fit for society (as the academia sees it). Interesting that higher education is universally the same and like minded, perhaps it is a mass hypnotism which self validates its own truths and not a real attainment of wisdom. (maybe all paradigms are this delusional) Universally / You will never see. I'm a fan of collective learning and consensus building and corroborating some kind of as-objective-as-possible view of reality, I just think the toxic meme of monetary control has infiltrated all otherwise benign institutions and their direction and integrity are now compromised, as is apparent by the move to fluoridate our youngest and brightest minds.

The all seeing eye or the eye of providence is not an evil symbol. That some have co-opted this for their ends does not make the symbol evil. I like to think that the universe we observe is always observing us and this realisation of the triune being observing itself into manifestation is well represented by the eye in a triangle. I think it's a beautiful symbol. Zen, I haven't heard the music yet and my 1337 computer graphics skillz are getting rusty. Maybe later.

Mutant, I didn't think tbms need to pup from areoles, they seem to pup from wherever they want. Any chance of trades or sales of the tbm later on? This thing is a beast!

    Bunnings ID, reasonable sure.

Found a few tiny and overpriced scops and pachs. The pachs were actually a reasonable size and looked really healthy although way too expensive, usually they just have these tiny ceramic pot ornamental types. I'm yet to find a tbm, that would make my day and do the label swap.. nothing unethical about that. I also see if there's any pups that've fallen and do ye ole' five finger discount.

    The Great Global Cooling/Warming Thread

hutch... I think like Slybacon was alluding to re: the power of our beliefs, We DO play god with our conscious/subconscious wish fulfillment or nightmare creation. Now our betters in the scientific community can once again prove their infallible authority on truth by building a global consensus and having all of us help manifest their apocalypse, their own self fulfilling prophecy... of course such metaphysical machinations of physical causality are impossible to explain scientifically so must be untrue. Now we can believe the scientists doom predictions, but no way in hell will we really believe that a carbon tax or any political action will save us. As far as we're concerned all politicians and corporations do is lie cheat and steal from us (we might hope otherwise but subconsciously we know this to be the case), so we have only one choice, believe we're doomed and know that our governments won't save us either. What a great mental path we're on. If we don't act soon who knows what sort of toxic memes will ruin our childrens mental environments. hehe fear mongering is great! Science can describe the box and what's in it, but cannot think outside it. Science describes nature but cannot explain the supernatural the Supra-natural, which supersedes mere observation of nature, and actually creates the phenomena observed. Knowledge of the chains that bind us, as detailed and precise and correct as these observations are, doesn't make the decision to be chained by such beliefs. If St. Peter gave you the keys to heaven would you believe him? Or do you need a consensus to prove it? I agree that if you believe in anything strongly enough it will prove itself to you. The calculations of a doom hypothesis powered by the feedback loops of the imagination accelerating towards oblivion would reach it's inevitable end. It seems such mechanical or logical thought processes lack the rejuvination of the never ending fountain, not contained in any book or peer reviewed journal, do you know where to find it? Science cannot be a basis for understanding the truth without also maintaining a connection to the divine. A balanced perspective is the only way to see the big picture. I feel for people with children that get into some kind of fear based "need to save the world for my kids" delusion that perhaps through their own subconscious fear facilitates the destruction of it (the whole, "you lose that which you fear to lose" self directed destiny paradox). [sarcasm]I think we should all jump on board these fear based thought loops![/sarcasm] but then I'm probably not taking this seriously enough! [edit]spelling

  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odT4u0fyRmo Lets suppose that everything is one, a single consciousness and all that (I know this to be the case ) then the only separation between us and any "autonomous" spirit or entity or whatever terminology works best for you is an illusory phenomenon. Paranormal activity would seem to dissolve this separation, any autonomy or chaotic free agency is the same as our own in this interconnected reality. Their autonomous action is only as autonomous as you are. They are interacting directly with you, the limits or dimension of which are dictated by your perception of self. Essentially it is just you interacting with you, from vastly different perspectives of you. As the old oriental saying goes "when the student is ready, the teacher will come". It's that old paradox again which proves this to be the forever unexplained mystery, unexplained because those that would like the unexplainable explained to them (by someone of a scientific authority preferably), who require numbers and measurements, who demand a material proof of the immaterial, a tangible proof of the intangible will not reach a satisfactory answer; never seeing that, which due to their imposed filter of acceptable truth is beyond their ability to see. Anyone who tries to suggest this impossible and unbelievable truth to be possibly believed will rely on subjective anecdotal evidence which may only be recognisable as truth if it resonates with ones own experience. Maybe quote a head scratching koan or some existential joke or pun, or an abstract symbolic interpretation that re-unites the material print with the spiritual thumb. To a non-initiate these paradoxical truths will sound vague and cryptic, only self evident to those other "crazy" people. In a scientific or clinical trial the very need to prove such paranormal realities will collapse the experiment into a failure, as it seems the very meaning of these experiences is to understand the truth of the un-understandable, It is to recognise the ineffable mystery of knowing the unknown in it's infinitely varying forms as always beyond the intellects grasp. It is to give an emotionally charged intuitive kind of truth, a personal or transpersonal meaning to an individual or group, not to measure some physical phenomenon to make it known, which is the antithesis of dancing in the chaos of the unknown. ...Going with the flow of chaos and recognising its immanent unity through a non-intellectual sense of harmony or divine order. What I find crazy and ironic is that the term for mentally wrong is applied to those who actively try to use their minds (including the "crazy" parts) by those who've vacated theirs and let it be used by others. Such an experience of material/spiritual unity will not present itself to one that's been told by science and the status quo of social norms to know better - and believes this, so is never "ready". Now we can also laugh at the irony of materialists in their personal delusion of having the correct Truth (with a capital T) missing out on such a large piece of the puzzle and calling us "crazy" from their limited vantage point. Maybe this whole reality is just a coincidence. Mere chance. Maybe in such a meaningless existence the spiritual experience is an evolutionary adaptation which just so happens to give us meaningless humans an imaginary purpose in order to reproduce and keep going in an otherwise apathetic existence that's pointless (how convenient!?). Maybe such experiences of "meaning" are a survival mechanism for the preservation of the species. Maybe the survival of the species is a mechanism for the preservation of meaning, that all happened by chance. God is one being laughing at itself.
  18. The conclusions of science are never true. If they were how would new discoveries replace older outmoded ideas? - as is always the case in science. Scientific models are always an approximation of truth. However! It seems that our left brain focus and materialistic fetishism has deified the scientific method as an ultimate authority on truth (though it never claimed to be) therefore, to a society imprisoned in materialistic thought informed by science, it is the science fiction that bridges the gap between the physical and spiritual, the mundane and the magical, the finite and the infinite, the defined and the indefinable, the possible and the impossible. The coming together of two diametrically opposed and irreconcilable (hence unexplainable) polarities = Paradox. Fiction in general has a beautiful, "poetic" way of getting entangled with fact. "sometimes truth is stranger than fiction" Where before our highest authority was the church, Satan would play tricks on you to deceive you and have you question the very fundamentals of reality and how it is perceived, now when our highest authority is scientific consensus it must be the most far out fringe possibility of this method of viewing reality that takes that leap of credibility into the impossible. (extra terrestrial/dimensional UFO's) Burden of proof has no place in describing the ineffable mystery. How can the absolute prove itself to be anything but that? and to whom exactly does the absolute prove itself? Rational investigation even admits this unexplainable paradox. Wave/Particle duality for instance where each behavior has it's own 'rules' yet the reality is both, depending on how you choose to view it. OR Kurt Gödel's incompleteness theorems on the rules of logic that are self referential and self contradictory and suggest there must be an irrational way we can recognise truth as logic and reason themselves fall short. Interesting discussion as always. I found the original article to be overly reductionist and presumptuous in general. To me it seems like an attempt to rationalise and explain what must be quite the existential crisis for Mr. Kent. It was also thoroughly boring. I like how it fired up this discussion though.

This infomercial bought to you by these two amazing shamans, endorsed as "the real deal" by some fox news "journalist". I expect these guys to make a bit of money off the followers of fox news, of course the real deal will need to water down the dose of truth to cater to the demographic of fox news, so it should be more profitable to them. The only danger is the influence of these fox newsians on the psyche of the shamans themselves! Such ignorance has a potent spiritual presence of its own!
