The Case Against DMT Elves
folias replied to Hagakure's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
woof woof, I just find advaita to be a boring belief system! -
yeah, I have a fair bit available. The good news here is that interest is much less than in previous times, which means people are much more sorted than they used to be. And there are people in SA growing it! :-)

"Advanced Propogation Material" available from a 10 year old cielo vine. Thick and thin pieces available! Pm me for details. Julian.
-
For sure it should be outside! It is not mine. It is 11 years old I think. And it is given a LOT of water in summer. :-)
-
I have access to this vine again! If you are interested in cuttings send me a PM! :-)

As stated, with the case of Acacia Maidenii, it is published and it is entirely wrong! And look up "Acacia Maidenii DMT" and you will find hundreds of pages that assume that Acacia Maidenii always contains DMT at around 0.4%! And hundreds of reports of people trying to extract from it and then getting nothing or almost nothing. M*lga's site http://users.lycaeum.org/~mulga/acacia/index.htm has one primary message. "Maidenii is a dud, don't bother with it - Obtusifolia is the one you are after!" That is the first site that used to come up in the search engines, but people often seem so blinded by who or what appears authoritive that will simply report it as authorative because it is published and "scientific", over and above a web site which states clear and experiential knowledge, which is actually more useful and correct. Julian.

Bluntmuffin, Strange that you would ask for evidence! This species also grows in New Zealand. http://data.gbif.org/welcome.htm Julian.

I don't have that much experience with it. It seems to be pretty consistant however, around 0.3-4%. The bark being around the same. Julian.
-
I've got access to a strain tested highest known in the world, so I may well try that out soon! :-) Julian.

see mycot's post in this thread http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13937 Julian.

>is this from personal communications with someone or cited in literature somewhere? it is in personal communications with myself! Most of this underground research goes "unpublished" and people like myself may post some material, and much of it relates to variabilities rather than certainties. "the literature" still says that maidenii contains 0.6% DMT and people still believe that one report from one strain is consistant with all strains. For example, I am told by a reliable researcher, there is ONE STAND of Maidenii somewhere outside of Sydney that I am told contains 0.5% DMT. Good luck with most strains though! You will be lucky to get 0.1%. Julian.

Yeah, I've got heaps. I still haven't decided what to do with them all. But message me and let me know how many you need. That goes for anyone else too. :-) Julian.

I'll put it in my diary... what sorta time till what sorta time? I have lots of groovy seeds at the moment! :-) Julian. -
Really, people should be taking phyllodes from Acacia Acuminata... it is much easier to do and yields are often 1.5% Make sure to spread the word about this! ~ Julian.

FIEND REQUEST ACCEPTED!

When i was at Rainbow I noticed a lot of the people I was spending the most time with were not on facebook, about five of them! Then again, today a well known artist told me today via FB that his artwork had blossomed because of my influence in his life. And just then, I found out a friend is having a mexican sauna tomorow night at his place. He told everyone through facebook events. There can be a lot of value in it, but there can be a lot of fluff... I think its often a useful tool and everyone has their own relationship with it, even if that is no relationship!
-
Yeah, it is just explosives. I have heard of sniffer dogs on Aussie domestic, but never seen one myself. A friend was once swabbed for Cocaine. Asked about it, "are you serious? I'm in the entertainment business, of course I'm snorting cocaine!" Julian.

The Case Against DMT Elves

Kayesem, That sounds like a great opportunity that your dad is offering to pay for you to the Monroe Institute! I would do it for sure! What's your dad's money for an opportunity like that? (except if that is 6 months worth of savings for him working scrubbing toilets, which sounds unlikely!) Robert Monroe's book "Far Jouneys" was the book that really set me off on some kind of a spiritual path. My mother and also my grandfather traveled out of body! Both are very pragmatic people, and have everthing to lose by telling people about their experiences which they take for granted. A friend said to recently, in dozens of people he had given DMT to, only about 10-15% saw beings and of them, there was no doubt that the beings were as they appeared to be and what they said they were! I just read this from Martin Ball. http://www.realitysandwich.com/energy_ego_and_entheogens He says beings and all this phenomena are projections of the ego! None of this is news to me. It is called Advaita (which means not two) I know dozens of people who see reality in this way, and I can see reality in this way too - but it is a choice to perceive reality like this and I feel it is ultimately disingenuos and boring and doesn't really go anywhere. Julian. -

We can only imagine how they pressure and threaten the Australian government... hopefully, there are more leaks! -
Possible Acacia Obtusifolia I.D. Question
folias replied to dosileflynn's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
They are not obtusifolia... but look interesting nontheless. Obtusifolias have slightly serated blunt tips. These trees look more like longifolia, but it is hard to tell. -

Also, you might want to watchout for the roving pandas with water pistols containing Australias national emblem in a form which absorbs through the skin! The first law enforcement officer to tazer and/or capsicum spray a panda gets a signed 1st edition copy of "I Am Spock" by Leonard Nimoy. Julian. -

The theatre will be full of DMT smoke the whole time. You will surely be high if you come along! -
Yeah, there are dozens of psychoactive plants from Africa that are not found in any literature. Julian.
-
ok, that's it! no more seeds. I will likely send out little packets of seeds because the seed pods have broken open. I hope this effort gets this tree growing out there in the EB community! :-) Julian.
