mac replied to J Smith's topic in Legal Matters
They could just keep adding to this so called list of plants What about passion-fruit etc dosnt that contain a Harmala alkaloid Will they add Caryophyllene containing plants because they activate the CB2 receptor & that cant be good -

Yeah was down for a while today for me also, probably telstra's lines or a server update ? Amazonian if in doubt bios settings will have a default or fail safe setting you can load A common driver error problem can be graphics driver so its best to update to the latest driver for your video card or on board graphics

think this is ok to mention in the thread as i thought it may be why HHH uses prickly pear in their caktus powder that was mentioned early last year 3-Methoxytyramine From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 3-Methoxytyramine 3-Methoxytyramine (3-MT), also known as 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenethylamine, is a metabolite of the neurotransmitter dopamine formed by the introduction of a methyl group to dopamine by the enzyme catechol-O-methyl transferase (COMT). 3-MT can be further metabolized by the enzyme monoamine oxidase (MAO) to form homovanillic acid (HVA), which is then typically excreted in the urine. 3-Methoxytyramine is also naturally found in the prickly pear (genus Opuntia).[1]

^^^^^^ The large main central one upward & one downward spine is another thing i have noticed, spines are very delicate while growing & easily knocked off, once they age & whiten slightly they are another story Also notice a slight resemblance to my despined Browningia hertlingiana behind it in my second pic
-
im no expert but after studying a couple of my own plants, pics & descriptions online here are my thoughts Not just the darkness but also the thickness length arrangement & taper of the spine at the base. V notching skin appearance & texture would be other things to look for

Ok i picked up some seed from ebay, first batch i planted a couple of yrs back when i first joined here i grabbed some pachanoi, bridgesii & peruvianus. Well My labels rubbed off but im sure only some pach & bridgesii germinated i eventually picked out some of the better plants & re potted a few It may be a bit early to tell but i was wondering if anyone would like to have a go at a ID on this young plant around 2yo i think i have my suspicions but would like to get opinions from others who grow from seed here is a pic of another from the same batch of seed i put next to a old bit of roo carcus my 8yo landscaped the garden with lol cheers mac

I have seen this one called The knobby monstrose form but the spines look like Cereus aethiops
-
yes you want them to dry out & scar over for a couple of weeks before being in prolonged wet conditions, otherwise rot can set in just save some rainwater & water the mother as usual without wetting where it had the pup removed
-
I just use a sharp butchers or fishing knife, put the cuts in a dry place & put the pot out of the rain until it heals & scars over

NSW Solar Scheme , 300 megawatt Cap
mac replied to Slybacon's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
Cheers Slybacon sorta makes me wish i took the offer when they were in town last year for a measly $100 i could have taken advantage of this, the only catch was i had to pay to hook it to the grid It shits me when they put limits on solar & water Schemes, usually people with a good salary jump in first so its the people who cant afford it at the time & would benefit the most who miss out in the end -
I like them & plan to use a couple out the front on my nature strip as drunks & teenagers usually pull out anything else i plant out there
