(This review represents an ongoing cumulative experience, thus will be updated as the space evolves.) Arriving from the mid north coast of N.S.W, I wasn’t sure what to expect of Adelaide, or the fringe festival for that matter. But when I walked in the doors of the habitat I knew I had found something particularly special within the rich cultural milieu that is Adelaide at its most vibrant… I knew I had found home The venue for CircuiTree is the ‘Habitat’, once an abandoned church, now the sculptronic habitat; home to the CircuiTree family and their expanding repertoire of world class underground artistic expressionism.

Having found my feet within the alien matrix of Adelaide, and the spaceship/doof church of the habitat, my Saturday night (hybrid helix) kicked off with a bang with a thoroughly enjoyed and anticipated set by Brisbane based dj and sound engineer Chaotic Eternal/Aum88, who has repeatedly tweaked out the valve powered sound system with a variety of different electronic stylns. My night continued to expand with a huge diversity of local acoustic jamming, performance art and a wide array of dj's playing in two separate rooms/chambers of the church.(which has been the general flow of each evening, with three separate and very diverse spaces for musical/cultural exploration and expression) From Goanymph and her cracking dark twisted ‘chaos psy’, yeahnah’z wild twisted intergalaktik maelstrom of psyche tweaking mind melding trance-thriving hyperspace, to Dzols luscious body bouncing bliss bomb bass lines (served up tightly with a new fun deep electro sound) im looking forward to hearing more from the electronic underground of Adelaide. However, of special mention, there are some local artists and d.j’s down here that are wielding sonic sourcery beyond anything I have ever heard/experienced. I’m not going to go into any details (at present) other than to say Adelaide has some special surprises in store for the global underground electronic art movement/culture. My experience has been continually and exponentially enchanted by the most magickal cultural/artistic phenomena im yet to have the pleasure of being a part of (true fringe/underground). The heart of this space (for me) lies within the interactive and ever evolving art space or organism that is the habitat and the CircuiTree within. There is this overwhelming feeling that you are a part of something very unique and special, as if you have assimilated into a larger constantly evolving socio-cultural organism of communal manifestation.(enter the co-creationism/creator-universe).. This closing weekend (13th-15th) hosts an incomprehensible diversity of sounds and sights, with multiple interstate artists and djs coming to immerse and express themselves, not to mention a staunch line up of local acts all fired up and keen to represent Adelaide, Australia, and a taste of what is to come. (The quality and diversity of music set for this weekend is mindboggling, from local funk band stylers, to experimental new electro-acoustic synergized instruments, live didg-electro-trance (emDee), to Spoonbill playing live alongside live visual feed mixing) The habitat is right next to the central bus depot, for any interstaters interested in coming for that once in a lifetime experience.. My first night inside the sculptronic habitat yielded some amazing performance art including; a crazy mother and daughter combo of uv acrobatics and ‘little miss sunshine’ style dancing by dakini violet, snake-charming ;) by kundalini and the serpent queen (collectively merging as a snake goddess), xero space junks cosmic invasion of uv puppetry, and lots more.

From the first night I arrived I was taken aback by the amount of energy and love and passion that a core group of local artists have put into this extravaganza. I have also been a little surprised by the lack of local support/attendance for something that in any other city would be easily reaching maximum capacity. (However it does feel the energy is coalescing the closer it gets to the final weekend) At first entering into this space was somewhat of a sensory overload, with the sheer density and diversity of underground art almost daunting at times. However upon familiarizing and integrating into the space there is a feeling of complete acceptance and submergence into what can only be described as a melting pot of world class art in all its diversity and divinity!!! The CircuiTree family has hosted 7 events over the last 3 weekends, with 4 events still scheduled over the next weekend. Rumor has it that if this weekend is successful and the CircuiTree space finds the local/inter state support it needs, there may be the possibility of one last dance over the Easter weekend. I have had the pleasure of attending the church/habitat for three public events; a performance night on the Thursday (6th), a techno based electronic music night on Friday (14th), and an all-on crazy mish mash of electronic music on the Saturday night (15th) that flowed into the WOMAD afterparty on the 9th.

CS- many of us have bee waiting for the 06 dvd... i know ur holding onto some absolute gold, and that theres may of us who have the time, resources ad meas to bring the 06 and 07 dvds to fruition. i for one have expressed o umerous times that i would persoally take it on.. i understad u worked very hard to capture all the info u have, but also that there were a lot of people working very hard on manifesting that informatio in the first place. so what are the real hurdles holding you back from releasing this information, and how ca any of us help.... and whats a realisic time frame of even sippets of it beig released? very thakfull there was someone as dedicated and astute as yourself onsite to capture the magick.... but whats holding you back from uleashing the magick on the rest of the world (and those of us who were too busy to emmerse ourself in our ow creations?) u kow ill do whatever it takes to get this project up ad running... hell id sell u my mother jsut to watch the footage let aloe edit it and put it together for mass distribution... the world is ready and waiting... how can we help?

no official police reports of rape from this event... however that never meas it didt happen, Or that there weret other cases of sexual assault occurring. (did anyone else hear about the mad middle age overweight local wome i trench coat going round flashing people?) officially there was one attempted sexual assault involving some radom dodgy dude dragging a girl screaming into the bushes, pushing her down onto a rock and TRYING, only to be kneed in the balls/elbowed in the throat, and then the girl escaped somewhat traumatised, i know this happeed as it was a good friends girlfriend, and thakfully she was not on drugs at the time and recieved appropriate councilling and friendly warm space following the incident. there were no sake bites, but plety of close calls with funnell webs (as flood waters rise, all mater of life seeks higher ground, thus density of spiders snakes and humas in one given area increases). there has been plety of septecimia (spp) and staph infections following this event, but mostly with puters who choose to cotinue in the conditios and do exodus as well. all in all it was a 'doof' lord of the flies without the pushing of a boulder onto a fat kid....

ive found individuals whose lifespan has come to a close, and who have finished their reproductive cycle, are actually very thankfull and giving of themselves. making essences, collecting seed, and sacramet/brew from the one big old tree, who has fallen or is about to, is like working with a pharoah or priest, and guiding them through the aethereal bardot realms (death) into their next incarnation. (the state of pure being beyond death.. or within it dependig o n your particular bent) the fact that we get so heated about these issues shows we are gearing towards a more coscious approach to interacting and relating to nature in all her wonderfull manifestations. we are all jus acting as circuit-tree within the gaian/human mainframe... each one of us a vessell for particular messages, and our role is found in taking that message to its relevet place, like neurotrasmitters and receptor sites.... some of us are engaged in the activation of the gaian pineal, and more then anything we take this particular neurotransmitter (as a message from the tree/earth/land) out into the wider cosciousness as plant messengers, carrying very importat messages/lessos for huma consciousness... Its important at times to remember we are not the source of the message, and that the message at times is stroger and more important then our own will or wish or desire... its also important to ackowledge this is highly sacred work, and as such it is very demading, and often we find ourselves struggling uder the weight of it all... but at the ed of the day, the work wont be finished until there is no need for the message, and the circuitry will be complete. (pls xcuse the typos, the n key is stuck and its quite hard to re-edit so may times ad still catch all those missing letters) (p.s- passive, laughter has bee said to be the best medicie of them all.... if ur laughig at this the probably on the right track ;) )

quick reply... recieved the "state of emergency" phone call from on site via sat phone first thing sat morn... we had set up in tenterfield as it was obvious to us the site was not 'kosha' at all (mid day friday)... spent most of saturday working with SES clearing roads and evacuating a young lady who was quite ill. there has since been another medi evac, and it loks like the 7-800 ppl out there will be stuck for many days... we have SEs flying supplies in, but its still a very worrying situation with some silly buggers trying to swim accross flood waters that were 'flash flooding'... basically an eye opener for everyone involved and some very hard lessons for all involved (although im sure theres many people who had a great time)... still worried about the 40-50 friends that were keen enough to brave the initial causeways and enter the site (some of these causeways are now 50m wide raging rivers)... definately festival/doof armaggeddon.. so very tired and exhausted, back out to the site tomorrow to continue towing people out.

when i was in communication i was pushing for a tour doing live drawing and showcasing acouple of his smaller pieces, along with a talk/lecture on different topics at ech different appearance. re-creating tho is another story... big job that one! the pics of the temple the cosm team did at burning man looked absolutely frigging amaising... if they can create that for burningman, then surely we can get something of equal if not bigger proportions happening here in aus. ive had the leasure of seeing one work in the flesh, and the true holographic multidimensional nature of the artwork really comes alive.. i have the pleasure of owning a signed print of 'wonder', and somehow he intuited something, because the first ever visualisationspiritual activation i recieved was the appearance and 'download' of the eye of horus and the eye inthe triangle... which alex slipped on the other side of the print when he signed it

i tried to co-ordinate an australian wide tour a few years back but there seemed to be too much going on over there with work on cosm for it to be feasible. glad to hear its happening in the form of setting up cosm in aus. ill help out in any way possible! full respect to ya and everyone involved for taking the initiative!!!

i wasnt dissing ozzys efforts, or the fact that it would make for an extremely interesting social anthropology excursion into the midst of the kryal.. i shouldhave worded it a bit better, what a treacherously musical facist i have become however, with limited finances and time, and a gig with nexus sound and a friend running the visuals and sound, and the gig being a lot closer to home, i think ill choose my first 'in person' posford experience to be at the sydney gig (even if its my least favourite city in the world thus far) i may well be hooking up free tickets for a few sydney ega's as well, so stay tuned.

its regular to find plants pre flowering covered inimmature pods, and also plants in full flower and full seed release.. id conclude that it is oftenthe cas ethat pod form irregularly due to environmental factors... and perhaps genetic in some areas (theres another phd)

heya, just thought id start this thread as an opportunity for people to converse on more efficient, economic and communal travel options for getting too and from ega. As it is a national conference, we are expecting a lot of interstaters, so use this thread to discuss travel options. A good model for exploring travel options is saying how many people are leaving where, when, and what travel options you are cnsidering... then looking at networing and coming to communal travel options that are often cheaper then going it alone (not to mention the fun and company).. So- here goes: 2 people, leaving mid nrth coast (coffs) to melbourne via either sydney or north coast airports somewhere after 21st and arriving in melb before 25th(nov).. Open to car pools/roadtrip e.t.c, - at present flying to melbourne from sydney via jetstar or virgin blue on the 24th-25th will cost about 80buxpp. (mid week seems to have the same ticket prices if u get in early) Returning from ega/melbourne sometime around 8th or 9th, open to road trip via south coast, posible rental car??? or similiar priced flights back to sydney.
