  1. Why are they using Australia post... I would have thought a private courier service would have been in place for such transactions and deliveries since from day one...I s'pose this is a question of cost and using the cheapest logistics possible, but still, aust post is not the most reliable service in the world, god knows how many packages I've seen go missing over the years... do they send everything via registered post...? If so then shouldn't they have been declaring the contents, surely someone would have clocked the misdemeanor by now. Is it illegal to send a prescription medication to a patient via local mail services...? so many questions need answering. I assume the service will have to apply for a special permit to send narcotics via the post in future...there will now be a "EXPRESS OVERNIGHT NARCOTICS" bag hitting the shelves of Australia post soon.. The permit or license will surely cost them more than they anticipate, bureaucracy being what it is an all.

    Seed Grown Monstrose

Monstrose from seed is quite common when the father is a monstrose, ie; T Peruvians monstrose is quite a common plant in the US, ( is that one in pic 3 ? )not ever seen a cuzco monstrose though but plenty of other forms of peruvians, which makes me think this is where your seed stock came from... I am rather curious about the bridgesii ones though, the parents...? where they monstrose, deformed rib droppers or melted forms at all..? Having babbled all that, you seem to be saying that these plants went monstrose due to growing conditions...or am I trippin"""""""" They look like they are in a slightly alkaline based soil, bapping them can make them pup and go all mad with ribs etc too.

  7. Each plant "may harbor" an individual spirit or there may be a parent spirit for all in that particular kingdom, proving it seems like an extremely difficult task, so does knowing if we ingest the plant does the spirit embody us while we are under the influence of it's alkaloids, if so what happens to the spirit when we come out of intoxication.

Meet the face of Big Brother in NSW

Forget Big Brother, this shit is heading into "Minority Point" or even a "Gataga" direction...
  9. Police in Sydney have seized 47,000 ecstasy pills worth about $1.4 million during a series of raids in the city's southwest. They also found 98 grams of the drug ice, worth about $30,000, $70,000 in cash, as well as a pistol during the raids at five homes in Wakeley, Edensor Park, Liverpool, Canley Heights and Abbotsbury on Friday. Four men have been arrested and will face a Sydney court on Saturday with police alleging they are members of a crime syndicate trafficking drugs between Sydney and Queensland. Detective Acting Superintendent Scott Cook, commander of the Asian Crime Squad responsible for the raids, said the arrests would significantly impact the supply of drugs. "This investigation has seen the removal of a significant drug trafficking syndicate from the streets of southwest Sydney," he said in a statement. source That's ruffly $306 a gm...huh, for once they underestimate instead of the usual blow it up and exaggerate. Last I heard shit was $800 a gm minimum. anyone wanna calculate how much the pills were worth..?

I don't know about you lot, but isn't using "your face" and mapping it's distinctions, storing in a data base.. without your consent an infringement of the most fundamental civil rights...?????

    Racing tips.

Oh I shouldn't have put up those tips today, I hadn't done any form or watched any replays due to working nights till 3am for the last week, so these were just quick picks based on memory so even though there was a few placegetters and a winner, it's prolly best I don't tip unless I do the form and tapes properly. anyways I doubt any of yuz saw em or used em they were so late being posted so whew. I didn't even get chance to have a single bet today...needed my sleep for the night shift.

    Can you say STFU.
  13. I just think that you based your decision to merge it based on views but the thread had been pinned and was still very very new...it takes a while to accumilate views, but I'm of the opinion that it's about quality not quantity and people were really posting some high quality gardening tips...I'm still hopeful you will resurect the gardening tips as a thread on it's own as hapy cadaver is no longer a member here and went out in a blaze of abuse towards Torsten and is now seen as the thread starter.

Whoa....for someone who can't say much, that's pretty bloody close...scary.

    Classix VS dissos

Faustas ^^ Right on, there are definitely people who choices change a lot, people who are not solely dedicated to one substance, rather poly drug users who will use what ever is around or accessible at the time, drugs go in and out of favour with some. I'd be interested to get your analysis on someone who was interested in all psychoactive compounds from an early age and almost dedicated themselves to the pursuit of each or as many as they could locate over life purely in an attempt to know what each compound felt like.

    Twister hit northern NSW

Generally willy willies like yesterdays one start out over the water as water spouts and then shift inland, unlike tornado alley in the US where they start and finish on land. It is very unusual to see this type of weather in Winter. The trough is deepening and moving south and going to dump a heap of rain down as far as the Northern beaches apparently. Sydney has copped torrential rain at times the last month, it's a total quagmire in some parts and drains are blocking up everywhere.

    Acacia farnesiana

Worthy of further investigation I suppose but it's hard to really give those alk profiles any credeance...seems the seed is basically a great oil source and the magic may lay in the extremities, leaf root and bark etc. interesting though, as are a million other acacia's around the joint.

    DJs...... Musicians or Producers

What do you mean thunder..live as in the artists aren't using turntables or CDJ's..? If so then it's not complicated, I've played out live with hardware several times. Way no 1 - Basically you deconstruct your tracks into loops and save them off into files, load the files into something like a Roland sp808 or two and then the sounds/loops are accessible by loading them onto assigned pads, you trigger them by tapping the pads, the sp808 has from memory 16 pads or is it 12 I can't remember...anyways send the audio outs into a regular 12-16 channel mixer or DJ mixer, bus in some auxiliary effects and start jamming, cutting new loops in and taking old ones out...you can stretch the audio to suit, but a good producer will have already made his files a certain tempo and won't have to fuck with sync issues. The 808 has midi out and in, also so it can trigger external synths or synths time clock could trigger the 808, and run sequences into them, you set the program/sound/patch on the synth to the one you want it to play along with, then start lo and hi pass filtering and changing envelope filter shapes, add some in sync LFO and away you go...obviously this is all well rehearsed and you have the set mapped out in your mind, adding bits of random ingenuity on the fly as you are playing sometimes. I used 2 of these 808's for my gigs back then and a korg prophecy keyboard for extra midi and fat synth sounds. I had em jumping and waving their arms at Chinese laundry a few nights when I used to play out breaks and DnB...was cool fun for sure. Way no 2 - A lot of live acts now use their laptops to simply play their tracks out of their sequencers, using multi-track audio and midi software like Logic or Abelton live, the artist can have all his tunes already to go and simply load them up into the program and play them out, they can add an external synth or two via midi..some will patch in a dumb controller keyboard and play soft synths over tracks, like long sweeps of pads or a one fingered fat bass line or tow, all in sync of course and the sequencer sends midi note info to the synth that is in the sequencer ready to be spat out, and change the sound on the synth with knob controls or sliders and wheels etc..as it's playing along, adding effects and using DJ style tricks like pitch shifting and brutal filter sweeps across the channels on the external mixer are the live acts favorite past time. Way no 3 - Some artists will actually use real instruments like didge's and drum kits, a guitar or two hooked up and some live percussion, maybe a female singer gets in on the act often for boy appeal, sometimes they still use a laptop and run the track they are playing as backing and play over it and add bits n pieces via audio or midi to make a live electronic blend of sound. Sky's the limit really, you just need to know how to use your gear, it doesn't have to flash to make psi at all, in fact a crappy p4 PC laptop can run a thousand free programs off the net that will playback samples you have gathered over the years...check out an outfit called lo fidelity all stars...they used the shittiest crappy cheap gear and got enjoyment from squeezing out wicked ass tracks from limited equipment, they had a huge following in the Uk in the 90's. Today's artists are spoiled for choice and most programs will do everything for them...check out traktor...4 decks of pure sweet time synced mixing bliss and kick ass filters and effects you use by simply hooking up a poxy 100 dollar behringer midi controller...all you need is a library of your favorite tracks a PC and a midi controller and away you go.

    The interesting thread.

Use this thread to post links to anything you find that is of interest, stuff you never bothered to really read about but when you did and understood it better found it interesting. After reading Torstens grape & tooth thread it got me thinking how is the grape being preserved, so I went looking to see if saliva had anything to do with it. Saliva I found the mechanisms of the salivary gland to be rather interesting...basic biology perhaps but worthy to know.
