Just thought i should add some info with my experience with this mushroom when i lived in the UK. I had been given some dried fly, chopped into small chunks. Being young and stupid with no real idea of what to do with them i ate prolly about a 1/4 to 1/2oz of the dried mushrooms. What followed was very bad, i spent about the next 24hrs vomiting and sweating. I thought i had been poisoned and was going to die. I also did not trip as far as i could tell, admittingly if it was only a mild trip i would have not noticed it due to how sick i was. The mushrooms did look like the aminitas that i have seen here, however it could be possible that they were identified incorrectly. But they were a branded dried product from the local head shop so i would assume that they were id'd correctly. Maybe there is a difference between mushroom to mushroom, i mean in at each stage of development or maybe growing conditions. In germany i have seen the same mushrooms used as decoration on top of bread so surely they cannot be making anyone sick when used like that. I think we must be lacking some knowledge somewere not necessarily due to any difference between Aussie Aminitas and European ones as it was european ones that made me sick. Welcome to the forum Trim, do you have any more info on collecting, preparation and dosages? We must be missing something somewhere.

I think it just seemed like hours waiting for a smoke LOL. Unless smoking implements swabbed up as used for illegal substance, how are they classed as drug utensils? Bongs and pipes are used for tobaco or legal smoking mixes. Even a base pipe can be used for smoking legal oils. "Nothing illegal here officer move along" LOL. I think half decent lawer would prolly make a good argument.

now im really thinking about it, i too think the moon could be a factor. i have noticed fresher looking ones around the time of a full moon and older loking and rotted ones even thought the conditions seem pretty good.

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Australien forums are still going. I'd love to go to a doof around Sydney, if anyone knows any other way of finding out about them i would love for someone to give me the nod. Hillbilly

The bird seed and the agar both took pretty well and pretty quickly too. The Lc appeared to do nothing, but im not to sucsessful with lc's so it could be just me. After i got some mycelium growing i then transfered onto agar. Then i selectively transfered again to get a clean culture going. It was pretty easy really and im going to try something else from wollies next, maybe some oysters as WT said there another one of the easier ones to grow.

well, i got contam free life going and im really, really happy. i never thought i would be able to get a sterile culture going from mushies from wollies. It seems to be pretty strong too. Could one of you knowledgeable guys or girls please help me out with how i should be fruiting these bueties? at the mo i have a couple of colonised jars of bird seed and a couple of agar plates, but i dont really know what to do from here.
