  1. Looking forward to it already! Would prefer long weekend aswell, but I'm sure I'll be there regardless one way or another...

Just realised I haven't seen most (all?) of you since last years camp... Clearly getting old for it to slide by so quickly!

  2. been a nice flush very very very close by to me...it's wonderful to watch em fruit and not have to travel and camp in cold freezing conditions.

That very? Nice to know your efforts have worked out man, well done!

  3. ^ :o

Cool, thanks for the advice guys. I decided to cut into 2 in the end and they are drying up a bit. Do they need to callus or just dry on the cut ends? I'm just a bit unsure as to how long I should leave them before they go in the ground because the length was quite dry originally.

Also in terms of watering new cuts going into pots/ground like this, can I get a little advice on frequency please? (Again bearing in mind they're on the dry side if that makes a difference... looks like they need to puff up a bit if that makes sense).

    Thanks again!

  4. So I was fortunate enough to be given a length of Pach from a forum member. It's a bit old and dryer than it would like to be, but I'm sure it will come good with a little love. It's about 1m long.

I'm not sure what I'm best to do with it, I mean get in in the ground of course, but should I lay it down just under the soil in the hope it will send pups up? Just sit it on the ground? Chop it up and plant them? I've clearly no idea and would love some advice please!

  5. Such a diverse range of people and knowledge, it's awesome how well we all get along. Waiting another full year seems far too far away!

This guy's expression may mean different things to different people...

  6. everyone should also bring a bag of wood. it's $15 from the servo if i remember rightly....

was it hillbilly who was bringing the chainsaw? we might need another one. but if everyone brings a bag of wood each it shouldn't matter.

Everyone will need to get at least one bag of wood if we don't have a chainsaw. Last time we made multiple trips for more firewood because we went through it so quickly (damn cold kiddies!!!)

  7. Can we please PM the map to the numbered people that are attending only? We don't need any unnecessary attention by posting the location here.

Totally agree. This doesn't need to go to anyone other than the people who have indicated in this thread that they are coming along.

  8. So sorry guys, im not going to be able to make it after all :(

Man that's terrible!!! WT's right, won't be the same at all! Really hope you're well, hope it's nothing too horrible keeping you away. :(

  9. Thought we should sort a few things out since the camp is getting closer... :shroomer: Remember there is no mobile reception where we camped last time so it's probably best we all know what's going on ahead of time. In case anyone didn't come last time or missed it in the thread - there is no water where we're heading, so bring more than what you need.

Last time the Sydney convoy left much later than planned meaning we were setting up tents in the dark which isn't ideal. A few pages ago it was suggested we should meet around lunch time at the g-spot from last camp and check out/discuss where to setup camp from there, which I think sounds like a good plan. So what time will we consider 'lunchtime'? Say about 1pm? Are we still planning to camp in the same general area? I just want to make sure we have enough light to get setup properly.

Hilbilly's bringing a chainsaw which is awesome, so do we think there's a need to buy bags of firewood like last time? I think we burned through the wood we had last time far quicker than any of us expected...

Really looking forward to it, haven't seen some of you since last year!

  10. Nice one Hillbilly, should be set with that! Good to hear you're up for another night WT, I was in a camping store yesterday and saw a camp toilet I considered buying for you. I figured that was the real reason you had to leave the next day... ;)
