Yeah, it's strange. Sometimes google searches seem to auto-direct me to a TXT only version of the forums which is great! Although admit to sometimes needing access to that sweet, sweet Phyto-pron : ) so i can't always live in a txt only world.

Wow! That was fun. Great bunch of folks, and Fantastic combination of hilarity and psychedelia. See you all next time

http://compra-segura...1ad6bec22ae05f0 Translated: Liquid Ayahuasca preparadao by experimented shaman in the Amazonian forest of Peru. Plastic bottle with 0,5 liters of ready extract to be consumed. It reaches after 6-8 dose. Plenty of interesting products on this w/site...I wonder who they sell these products to legally? I can't see many Sth Americans buying a pre-made Ayahuaca beverage.
-
EDIT: Just realised the above was actually in response to Teotz post In theory i have no objection to this kind of thing at all...they are providing a product and in return they require compensation. That's pretty well fine with me. Calling it commercial in the title was merely incidental... My only real concern was the potential ecological impact of this kind small scale production...i have no idea and could only guess. was kinda hoping others here might shed some light on this?

Quarantine will almost certainly notice/open it. They are very efficient at spotting organic materials. So apart from it being an illegal import it may pose a legitimate quarantine risk. Many people grow Psychotrias in Oz SAB usually has live plants available.

I tend to agree here. I'm also worried about possible (over)-exploitation of source material. How exactly are these 'commercial' products produced i.e cultivation and harvesting processes? It seems unlikely to be farmed in the western style monocultural sense? most likely harvested from the wild. How stable are populations of these species in the wild? are they a geographically restricted? and what pressure might this place on their level of endangerment or reduction thereof?

More than 24 hours after the incident, the Russian Ministry of Defence confirms that it was a failed Bulava missile launch that caused the strange spiral shaped lights over Northern Norway yesterday. "During a test launch of the intercontinental missile Bulava on December 9th, the motor of the missil's third stage malfunctioned, the MInistry of Defense's press service informs according to ITAR-TASS" linky brilliant display regardless of alien participation. i'm still holding out for some better quality footage. H-D would be nice...lol

From Slashdot "Many know the beauty and complexity of the Mandelbrot set. For some years now a few enterprising mathematicians / rendering fiends have been seeking a true 3D Mandelbrot set. A month ago a solution was found, and it is awesome to behold." Linkage (Image heavy) Enjoy.

Greetings, I'm currently in Nepal and have managed to obtain some seed of Ethnobotanical significance and would love to get them back into Australia. I have considered declaring such items upon arrival back in Australian but have little idea of the process or success. Would posting the seeds be a better option? any tips? Cheers, Tristan.

Morning Folks, Can someone help me make contact with this member? It appears the account has either been disabled or the new PM restrictions are blocking the communication. Thanks.

Any updates on this matter?

Teotz: Importing from O.S is not an option for me. Cheers though.

Greetings fair people, I'm hoping to locate seed of either Ephedra gerardiana or E.sinensis. I'm quite happy to pay or trade with forum members, otherwise, a nursery source would be equally appreciated. I remember SAB did stock seed a while back... EDIT: Removed SwapnSell URL Thanks, Bolwarra.
-
Thanks. but yeah, I'm particularly looking for Ephedra. Plenty of Sida spp around here too...

I haven't tried Cable internet configuration with Linux at all, so can't really comment. However, the most recent canonical releases of Ubuntu, 8.04 and 8.10 (Hardy Heron) have really improved their support for Wireless adapters and the like. I wouldn't be surprised if Cable functionality/config has been reduced to a GUI --Great for noobs like me Keep at it! EDIT: things

eI haven't tried Mandriva, but, Ubuntu gets my vote too. I run Hardy Heron on an old Acer laptop. I think most distributions these days can boot from CD's...very useful for testing before committing to a full install.

Great stuff 2b! thanks for posting "The natives bring large shells from the NW, and tell mysterious legends of a place called Peecheringa" I remember this Hodgkinson quote blowing me away in P.Watson's 'This Precious Foliage'. Brilliant!
