I don't think there is a big enough gap between classes in Australia to fire up a revolution. That is just my opinion. When things do affect a large percentage of the population, read work choices, it does mobilise us into social action however. Which is great. Banning books on drug manufacture or plant cultivation is, I guess, just so the government is seen to be doing the 'right' thing. It makes little difference in the reality of the information age. I'm sure if one were enclined it would take about 5 minutes of googling to find enough information and thats being generous. That said going to goal for owning a book on the aforementioned would really suck. I remember when I was a young fella a mate and I got busted by the local cops for a little bit of weed, they then searched the car and found, 'the cannabis cultivator' which they proceeded to rip up and throw in a bin. They also threw our pot on the ground and rubbed it in with their boots. Then they let us go. lol. We got the book out after and stuck in back together. peace

This year for me was a bit of a newie for me in terms of indicators etc. I would have to say that the subs were pretty much the main species out, which I haven't seen before. There were certainly other mushrooms around but subs dominated. Anyone else seen that b4?

saffron milk cap, get young fresh ones... not older gross ones. cut off the stem; use cap, slice as you would a 'normal' supermarket mushie, garlic and butter.... then fry in a pan with a decent olive oil. Trick is to fry till shrooms loose their water and then add the garlic and butter so they soak it back up, you could also at this stage add some thyme or whatever herbs you have around the place. Do some sourdough toast, (if you aren't gluten intolerent) buttered. Place shrooms on toast, top with fresh rocket from yr garden, or bought, a bit of grated parmesan, a pinch of good sea salt and a good balsamic vinegar. yum

A booming great storm got us out of the forest yesterday but I doubt it even dropped much rain, all bark no bite! At least down this way. Each year I go visiting spots it never fails to amaze me the connection I feel. Random coincidence sort of stuff, definately something whispering in my ear hey. Felt better than I have in ages yesterday driving home. XF pano bought off a mate for a grand. It was shit. lol. But saw heaps of the country in it, (with many running repairs) me and my girlfriend at the time decked it out with bed etc in the back and curtains etc.. but still, it was shit.

Went for a great walk today with my son, took a camera and am still trying to work out the macro features.. For the most part we were jumping around on rocks so not looking for photography subjects during that time tho there were many around. Looks to me like there was the first flush about two weeks ago. Such a beautiful spot to walk around... newhow My boy fell asleep on my back and I got to take a few snaps these are all in eucalypt forest: Large still quite fresh drying as it opens, youngen Quite a few little freshies around, another few days... please please more rain!! classic two weeks old maybe? week and a half? nice day peace

I would love to spend some time with you all but I'm not sure the melbournites are willing to put in a 8 hour or so drive and the sydney folk a 6 hour drive? If you are I'm up for it though... I will have my 2 y/o son with me also. If anyones keen will keep discussion going further hey. meanies

generally the police force has more pressing things to do than either looking for people in wet leach infested pine forests or arguing the toss over whether you're taking a spore print I'd reckon. Not that many people take them or know what they are... when I used to, (can't anymore - health problems) it was very few of the mainstream that knew they even grew anywhere but up north in paddocks. send out some good vibes when you get to the forest, maybe pick up some trash or leave something that you really value there as a gift back you know, a hard thing to do but think of what it's giving you. nehow, they ain't called magic for nothing I reckon peace all mz

If you are looking for somewhere between melbourne and sydney I know a few very nice spots to camp where we will see noone and not be bothered. I'd be keen even if it was just to show you guys a spot or two. Oberon is definately not an option for me, too much fuel from here. nehow, keep the discussion going friends peace

Its cold enough here now at least at that altitude and we've had a really decent rain or two. Hence they're back. Not down on the coast yet... just in the ranges, in euc forest too not pine. anyhoo... get rain dancing, spesh with the fullmoon coming on. I reckon it pulls them out of the ground quicker, having such a high water content. Can't wait to get some pictures

Just thought I would throw in my two cents... as for trichs I have simply left them sitting on my desk out of direct sunlight in the middle of summer with some pretty exteme heat. they threw roots and are now pupping. don't stress too much about it hey. If they want ya to grow em they will let you. peace

I remember going to a fundraiser for FBI about um... well... jeez 16 years ago in Sydney at the the hordern pavillion. Had heaps of great sydney bands etc and was a top night out. I knew it was still alive and kicking but just thought a timeline to the station might be of interest... did anyone else go to that gig?

love that area... make sure you aren't the perpetrators of leaving big filthy white foam boxes around tho' they suck! I'm a bit jealous of you guys... hope you all have fun! If it was me I would be bringing the camping equipment and spending a night or two in the forest and making a big warm campfire and really getting to know the place, you know camping in state forests is free right? peace
