Hi all, I found these on a bushwalk through some native bush in Sydney today.
Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me while I picked them, but these things really stood out from the surrounding terrain as they're quite blue/purple, which made my psilocybin detectors go off. :-)
Habitat: Woods/moist scrub, on soil, amongst gum leaves/some sort of pine needles
Gills: Beige/mild light-brownish. Medium spacing.
Spore print: Brown.
Stem: 5-10cm length, ~5mm thick. Stringy, spongy, solid (not hollow). Purple/blue/beige. Only slight observable purple-ish bruising.
Cap: 10-40mm diameter, flat to typical "flying-saucer" shape. Purple/blue/cinnamon colour, sometimes with a yellowish-center. Smooth and slimy.
Scent: Typical mushroom smell, quite sweet actually.
Any expert advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
