  1. For sale I have 3 different Trichocereus Crest variants, I didn't label any of them so who knows what the parents are. I do know however all the seed came from Nitrogen in one way or another and these have been grown over the last 3 years.

    From left to right in the picture below;

    1. Variegated Tricho Crest, this one grows compact but with good vigor. This is the first time I have sold or traded this plant.

    2. Nice blue Tricho Crest, grows very very large and throws normal branches every now and then. The powder on it is sulfur. I have traded this one before but not sold.

    3. This one is slightly Variegated and grows and appears similar to the first but with less variegation. $120 or offer

    For size indication the biggest one (3) is 15cm across.

    Plants still available;

    3. Blossfelida Liliputana $50 $40 ?

    Grafted to a small Trichocereus Peruvianus. This plant has been grafted for over 2 years and the stock is getting tired, it will need a degraft at some point next growing season. A few cosmetic marks but it is in good health.

  3. My guess is it should bloom in about 4 days. Cuttings that flower are a bit strange, they will abort the flower at any and can be difficult to pollinate and set seed. Once the fruit is set they will drop the fruit early at random. Mature/established plants rarely do this unless under enormous stress.

  4. I water my seedlings all winter just less often. They still need water just not as often or as much at the one time. With the temps you describe I would water them monthly during winter, just be sure they are not getting water from any other source I.e a drip from the roof of the greenhouse etc.

    Additionally, I try and not get the body of the plant wet by using bottom watering etc

  5. Im with you. i have a huge little green dot collection. 10 month old ariocarpus from 4 different species/subspecies.

    De-grafting ariocarpus has been reported to be very very hard. what was your method? with aztekium hey actually require a slight amount of moisture to root and not shrivel up. WB ariocarpus?

    how many ariocarpus plants do you have roughly? if my count is right i have at least 25.

    I have an Ariocarpus which i want you to take a look at. It is a natural Twin ariocarpus trigonus. it came up from seed with a little side shoot dwarf twin. it has grown some. this picture is about 2 months old making the plant 8 months old in this picture i believe.

    I had minor sun stress in the early months of winter while i was working under artificial light, but they recovered fine.

    Is the bottom little pup attached ? Looks like two seedlings, one having germinated recently.

  6. I personally don't like Köhres and this is not due to how the business is run, it is run quite well and they are for the most part honest in their dealings. However, I have had many seeds that are either mislabeled or just completely different to what the label says. This is true for Trichocereus, Ariocarpus and Astrophytum, I will not buy from them again.

  7. Hi,

    For sale I have 3 x Nice Trichocereus Cuttings. I'm not including specific subspecies or "named' clone details in this on purpose, I feel there is way too much emphasis on this and i want people to buy them based on knowledge and beauty, not a superficial name. That being said these do have names and are very attractive plants when mature.

    Sold as one lot, will postage extra. Asking $50 ono, PM me.

  8. Really nice plants mate :)

    I have a few different varieties growing myself, I'm growing them all from seed so still probably a year or so before flowers.

    I've also got a couple of "Trichopsis" that should flower soon, can't wait to see the flowers on them.
