hello all, i am completely new to the mushroom world and after reading some articles i now have a few questions that i hope some of you will be experienced and kind enough to answer.
-The grow guides that i have been reading invlove brown rice or something similar, yet alot of people here seem to be using agar as a meduim. why?
-Can you use a spore print scraped from a peice of clean paper to innoculate a jar, or does it have to be a spore syringe?
-How sterile/clean does the container you transplant the fruiting cakes into have to be, and will there be a high of risk contaminating the culture if i was to open the top reguarly while they are growing?
-When it is time to start giving the mushrooms light what is better, sunlight or a lightbulb, if so what kind of lightbulb?
