It would be more dodgy doing it now than at 100% but since the majority of your cakes have colonised that much, it would make it hard for a competing mould or contam to take hold. But I'd recommend your patience before birthing. Peace, KlUe

FOAF has ordered 3 different shipments from 3 different suppliers and had no problems. They've always got different ways to conceal the seeds -which lessens the likeliness they'll be detected. Another friend was caught and his letterbox was "flagged" for a few months - but other than that was just confiscation and a warning. G'luck. KlUe

Thought these pics might be a little interesting to my fellow cacti loving peeps... About a month ago this little dude sprung up from the soil... and over last couple days noticed this other darker green growth. Now at about 5 days after I first noticed it, it actually looks like its another pup growing from the side. The only other thing I could think of is another seedling somehow rooted into the bigger one. Sorry for pic quality but they're pretty small! (And just in case u were thinking - yes, it is attached, i've tried to separate gently and it is stuck on there ) KlUe

It does look similar to a seedling germinating on the side - but have you ever heard of one that attached itself to another? There is no visible roots - but its definitely stuck tight on there.

Hey mate, yeah thats what is strange - the pup still has the seed case on it.. But no, I didn't notice the other seedling until it had a pup from it, since it didn't stand out from the others until now. I'll keep you all posted with pics etc. KlUe

Sad story but one girls death shouldn't be blamed for a nations ban on shrooms.. Plus she was 17 - underage - and should've been with responsible people when taking them.. Maybe it would be more suitable having a stricter over the counter sales law rather than an outright ban.

I'm using one 28w cool white fluoro which has provided enough heat to keep the seedling domes with good humidity levels and the temps - they actually prefer this single light to the sunlight outside as i'm doing simultaneous grows at the moment.

Wouldn't say they sucked mate, i've used a few PC fans for lots of grows including setting up a FOAFs MJ grow box.. You can also get larger "PC fans" that can plugin to mains power - pick em up from the local hydro store pretty cheaply which will certainly do the trick.

Its not as dangerous doing it at this stage - Because the cakes will have been fully established with healthy mycelium and the water-caused bruising will heal without too much risk of contam.

I've heard that some Aboriginal communities have used some DMT but wasn't a common thing and only in selected areas. But pls correct me if i'm wrong, i've not got memory as to where I read it.

Quick thought: I can believe most edibles can be adjusted to, but ('edible') shrooms have to be up the top in the "never will be able to eat without heaving" category... Anyway back to the subject - kava - it's not that bad IMHO, but that does depend on how much you drink. When I was in Fiji, I was visiting a village with a group of people and was made the "visiting chief". What this meant is that I was offered a lot more than the others were, as it was disrespectful not accepting the seemingly never ending offers with their 'coconut cup'. The taste begun to get worse and worse, even though my mouth and throat were getting number and number. Difficult indeed! But in the end very well worth it Peace KlUe

Hey dude, Have you got any access to lattice or something similar? Mine is overtaking my balcony's lattice, i'm not complaining though! With the ants, mine have them all over (even these big mean looking ants) but don't seem to cause any harm , although they haven't brought any insects... But even so, it grows so fast I dont really worry about leaves getting eaten.... Peace KlUe

I've never had problems with my caapi, (except when whitecurlgrubs infested the pot) - in all sorts of conditions outside.. Its growing more than 5cm a day in mostly indirect sunlight.. What sort of soil are you using? I've found as soon as I used a good quality potting mix it suddenly sprang to life. It also loves regular feeding. I didn't use any verm or perlite - verm may make it too wet - she doesnt seem to like being too wet all the time.. KlUe
