    I remember, in the olden days, 70s etc, in germany, acid was mostly tiny little pills.

    I remember "orange sunshine" little cylindrical-shaped pills... very very potent...

    I also remember always having a "metallic"taste in my mouth when I was on them.

    That's about the budget it's running on now. ( i think, haven't actually worked it out precisely, but it's something like that)

    Since this is the umpteenth post about the same testfindings I am starting to hope this is finally sinking in, not just with us "ethnos" but with wider society.

    Of course those in power have known that for a long time and drugs are only illegal because THEY need to control US.

    But the more of US know the truth, the sooner we can send THEM and their opinions to hell.

    remember, the article & i are talking about the UK, & i can assure you that, until the climate changed, no outdoor grown pot was worth smoking biggrin.gif

    What grass was around came mainly from Jamaica & was mostly leaf & tip. There was the odd shipment ov primo Thai grass, but that was once in a blue moon. The mainstay was Moroccan soap bar & Pakistani squidgy black, both ov these were pretty low in THC & high in contaminants.

    While those two hash products are still widely available the growth in supply & demand for hydro grown commercial varieties has exploded w/the consequence that people are smoking much higher THC product.

    first my opinion on the "independent":

    I've seen it occasionally lying around in airplanes, offices etc and thought:"Cool, independent, so it must be good..."

    upon further examination I found it as useless at delivering factual, uncensored information as "time" or "newsweek" the same sort of rubbish brainwash. What a crappy paper, what an unfitting name...

    seondly, and more importantly, the ganja-situation in the 70s...

    nabraxas pretty much covered UK, well same time in germany was quite different...

    Mostly, unless there was a police crackdown going on of the kind that's now going on in brisbane/North NSW, hash was abundant and quite often very good.

    The most commonly found brand was "green turk" which was good, standard-strenght hash which would satisfy most people. Occasionally, there was some very good turk available, every now and then some real crappy stuff.

    Many people came from turkey to work in germany and brought a "nestegg" with them a kilo or 2 of hash.

    The second most common variety was "green morroccan" which was generally stronger than turkish but also varied quite often.

    Then there was the black variety, in the 70s black afghani was quite common and generally accepted as the one of the best. Of course quality would vary here too.

    Some of the best ever black hash came from Kashmir, but very rarely.

    Good kashmiri hash was as trippy as LSD only better.

    In my personal opinion the very best of all was "red lebanese".

    Quite often you'd get the yellow variety from lebanon, which was also very good, but the red one was just unbeatable.

    Sadly enough, lebanon does not export hash anymore, they are too busy fighting these days.

    From what i remember there was a large area in lebanon devoted to just growing hash.

    Nowadays they are devoted to suicide bombing or something. Bad choice.

    Not that that I'm saying America is any better than Lebanon, but it really is very sad.

    What a bad example of negative powers winning over the positive.

    Someone who had travelled the area 20 years ago said that cannabis bushes in africa mostly grow wild and are "shunned" by the majority of people because they are too strong.

    Without lying I'd say that red lebanese hash would beat any skunk or other genetically engineered variety.

    This is why there is no weed around:

    Recently, when people start talking to me about how the poor poor government has to pay for all these victims of smoking, and how now the costs of looking after obese people even tops the cost for smoking victims.

    Before that it was the baby-boomers; how is the poor government going to be able to look after all those people?

    The government has no money? Bah! The government has far too much money, and it's absolutely squandering it on the war in Iraq, for example, where Australia has absolutely no business at all. And last of all, the australian government should not support that American super-rightwing Nazi Bush who wants to enslave the whole world and farm us, the people, like cattle.

    If anything, the Australian Government should totally oppose the US government.

    But this is not all.

    For the fuckwit Howard Government, it's not enough to war on iraq, no at the same time it's running a war on it's own people in it's own country.

    it's running this war on at least two different levels:

    1. The government tries to make all recipients of unemployment money, pensions, and all other support systems, go out and look for work, no matter if the work is suited at all to the people in question. Providing cheap labor for evil capitalists is the game. Kicking everybody, including very sick people and very aged people, over sixty, off the pension, is the meanest thing any government of this country has done during the last 25 years.

    So the government is saving huge amounts by squeezing the economically weakest like lemons.

    What do they do with the money? Build hospitals, homes for the aged, support hungry children overseas? Not at all!

    2. Again they are using this money to oppress and often incarcerate the same group of people, the economically weak, the alternative people, who don't base their life on making as much money as possible.

    They are pouring billions upon billions into the war of drugs, which is a war on personal freedom of individuals, basically a war on people like you and me.

    The cost for additional police, for surveillance the way it's being done, is astronomical.

    And it's not just the so-called super-evil drug methamphetamine they are fighting, which would be remotely understandable, they are also trying to stamp out the most beneficial herb known to mankind, cannabis.

    Apart from media-hype, and straight out media-lies, cannabis has never hurt anyone, and is an important help in everyday life for many. What is the government doing? Do they just want to boost alcohol-sales, and everyone else can go on anti-depressants? The junk the pharma-concerns churn out is mostly good for nothing and does more harm than good.

    Who in their right mind votes for this Howard government?

    They can only be totally misinformed fools, or just as evil as the government.

    Still i don't hold much hope for the next elections.

    Perhaps all sane people will have to leave Australia soon. If this government is again allowed to run rampant against it's people, Hitler-style concentration camps will be the next.

    To hell with John Howard!!!

    if it is still around, indonesian "tripping weed' from the toba/nearby region is some of the best in the world.

    The "herb" scene was very very paranoid 30 years ago, I guess by now it's non-existent...

    sometime in the 90s or the indonesian government had those tribes who used to grow weed, "exterminated'

    like you say we have the same view but can't agree totally...

    just my final thought on it: I think anarchy would be great...

    but there has to be someone to "police" gangsters...

    those people who are notoriously criminal etc. we can't have them going around stealing raping and murdering...

    so even an anarchy would need a strong police force...

    and who is going to "police" the police?

    Otherwise any anarchy would just be a policestate... and we have that already...

    other than that you're still welcome to stay here any time... I think it must be possible to refrain from killing each other over (slightly) different political views...

    re: down south camping trip: isn't EGA on this year?

    Although I prolly wouldn't come since my car isn't that great... and i hate flying and will only fly if there's absolutelyt no ther way... and it costs money...

    re midget porn: I can't believe there's really people who would like to see THAT...

    well you still can since I filled it into numerous bottles which are cluttering up my fridge.

    Seems you're the only one who liked it, even I can hardly get it down...

    I wanted to create something new, mixing 1 bottle of sctoch, 6 litres of red, 1 oz yohimbe, some nepalese ephedra, 1 oz nelumbo and... (forgot)oh yeah 1 bottle of rather exxie champagne donated by green gardner (sorry gg, we should have rather drunk that one the way it was, i apologize)

    hardly anyone toiuched it all night, when i filled it inot bottles I found that the stuff from the top is just drinkable yet the bottom stuff is mostly like medicine.

    Perhaps I should sell it as "aphrodisiac" on the Nimbin markets tomorrow but don't know if I have the nerve...

    well im kinda keen for the mardigrass weekend..ive never been an reckon it would be a hoot..maybe if we all got to the campsite eraly

    yes I believe I will be there early whether i have a stall or not...

    the Nimbin camping ground is rather large I'm quite sure we can get a spot say thursday night or so...

    International firms like Coca-Cola may have to stop using the word coca in brand names if Bolivia's coca leaf farmers get their way.

    As much as I'd like to see that happen i doubt it ever will.

    Rather, the coca cola company would start a war against those farmers to wipe them out.

    of course you don't come on Mardi Grass Saturday when the pigs have set up all their traps .

    You come a day or 2 early, and the camping ground at Nimbin will have some room for sure...

    and you don't go home before very late Sunday nite...

    last year it was very s[pooky...

    I started my way home at around 10 pm from Nimbin Sunday night;

    not lying: I didn't see a single car between Nimbin and Murwillumbah!!!

    The cops had everyone scared really good...

    mardi grass would be great camping, I'm all for it...
