do you thhink its a trich? i thought it looked like a bit like T thelegonus from those furrows btw areoles

nice work with the pic. i thought Guzman and Watling separated tasmaniana from the others on its longer cheilocystidia neck length, >5um, and its dung habitat. but then Chang & Mills went back and remeasured the specimens and found them all to be >5um. then in Chang & Mills' paper they examine 3 collections, 2 from Tas. and 1 from NZ. from pasture land, dung , and soil respectively. ah shit i dunno what it means, its a mystery

did you clean the stem with alc? if you put them stem in there with dirt on it then that is the source of the contam. wipe down with alcohol then tear a piece from the inside of the stem to use for cloning.

yeh they could be Galerina. but i think most galerina ive seen have a more persistant ring.. they kind of look like they could also be Gymnopilus from the underside. but the caps look kind of wrong for gyms... is that purple coloring on the stem or am i seeing things? both grow on wood but never seen em pop out of potting mix before. i guess theres a lot of pine bark in there? dunno. probly not Hypholoma though as you said spores are rusty brown not dark purple [ 28. yeah. i was about to broach this subject on behalf of a mate. this guy (I dont ingest., however i do inhale) was having 'bad' dreams for a couple of weeks following a phenomenal trip. all these dreams usually contained a strong death event or theme , or at the least a sense of foreboding. some nights he couldnt remember dreaming but woke in cold sweats.hmm its hard to work out ... whether in his post-acid meltdown its just an heightened paranoia of the fear of death, or something more important. :confused:

those first ones may be some kind of Gymnopilus sp... maybe purpuratus. their gills start yellow but go brown when mature. great pics, nice an fresh. could be anything tho without knowing spore color. i dunno about puffballs but the last one i think is Bolbitius vitellinus or variicolor by the look of its slimy looking cap mmm love those first pics whens mushrooms season gunna come back down to us southerners

the cat next door wont stop shitting on my herbs and im sick of looking for an diggin his shit out of my garden every morning. :mad: ive got hundreds of skewers poking this way an that around all my plants but somehow he still gets in there and craps especially on my thyme and calamus . ive put my cactus in the trouble spot as some negative reinforcement but he even shits in the cacti pots. this morning he even scratched out a freshly planted T. spachianus cutting . he has no fear. :mad: ive seen some chemicals methyl nonyl ketone at the hardware store to deter pets but was wondering if there was any other alternative? ive seen a herb named "piss-off plant" does anyone know if its effective? the missus reckons i should just get a kitty litter tray but goddammit.... no way. it will stop. :mad: :mad:

thanks for all the responses everyone, ive talked to the owner and he used to have kitty litter but kitty just stopped using it a year or so ago. i think i try a combintation of some temporary netting to force him to go somewhere else, and probly some methylnonylketone too just incase he gets through. ill comtemplate mousetraps if hes still using the area in a month. hmm but i like an excuse to make some iodine crystals again :D cheers
