  1. Anyone keen to trade some seeds for a spore print for microscopy purposes only. If anyone had a PES Hawaiian to trade that would be cool but any cubensis would do. I've been close to ordering internationally but keep getting a bad vibe about it, and after looking at what others have to say there is a real risk to this. I'm in Perth so it would be nice to hear from some locals. I have the following seeds to trade: Acer saccnarum Anigozanthos manglesii Anigozanthos viridius metalica Cervantes province Anigozanthus flavidus Atropa belladonna Brachychiton gregorii Brugmansia sanguinea Brugmansia (white) Callitris columellaris Catha edulis Corymbia chippendalei Crowea angustifolia var dentate Datura metel Datura stramonium Datura ferox Eucalyptus oblique Eucalyptus regnans Eucalyptus citriodora Grevillea Hakea bucculenta Hyoscyamus albus Leonurus sibiricus Phalaris aquatica Phragmites australis Styphelia tenuiflora Templetonia retusa Tobacco mix Xanthorrhoea australis
  2. Hello, Some kind people from this site once helped me a long time ago and I was hoping someone would be generous enough to help me out again with a spore print for microscopy purposes only. I have previously studied PES Hawaiian and would like to examine them again one day if anyone could help with this or similar strain I would be very grateful. I'm happy to make a donation to you for such a gift. Kind Regards

    need help with fruiting room...

Ledgends. Thankyou. I already checked out my nearest bunnings with no go and nurseries and garden shops etc. I will try the other ideas. Cheers. Thanks for the link to the other thread. The forget tek is my kind of style, its the aussie way and reminded me of my attitude to my studies. Forget and neglect with a last minute ditch and a smoke to forget the rest. Just to share a story, my gnome buddies tried their first 2g dry trip of pes haw. last night down in dwellingup forest with his brothers and told me it was a very positive exp. The take off was heavy but levelled out for hours on an enjoyable journey so he said. Fruits of labour my saviour my friends my herb and my fire. What a ride. Kind regards.
  4. G'day fellow shroomers, i was wandering if somebody new where I could get my hands on a mini greenhouse or portable closet with full plastic covering? I've seen a few of these set ups in pics around and I like what I see I just can't find the bloody things. I'm in Perth and the smallest greenhouse I could find so far is about $800. F*$# that! I've been on international web sites and found the perfect ones for sale but I'm not big on giving business to other countries, and there only about $29 US. I've had good results on BRF cakes and casings and after consulting with the shrooms, they have suggested they would like an indoor greenhouse with a humidifier attached and some air pollution control and of course, the whole O2 issue, gimme gimme bloody gimme, so of course they also want lots of fresh air. Any suggestions? I think I can get my hands on a humidifier and have seen pics on how that can be set up and callibrated for the room etc. But I'm not sure on the whole air exchange thing. I would rather not fan daily so I only open the room when I help them move into their next phase of life. Would I use like a fan in a box with some filter cloth over the opening that blows directly into the greenhouse, I'm struggling on this one. Would holes in the greenhouse with a filter stuck straight over it work, so its like a passive breather hole for the whole thing? I need your wisdom guys. Please. Kind Regards.
  5. Purely for microscopy purposes by the way. I like to think I'm a patient man but I don't handle doing nothing too well. And nothing is what I have got after four months of waiting patiently for my paid order from a certain Australian ethnobotanical business (which I won't mention because I still have a little patience left). I have also tried other means of acquiring spores or cultures but I always end up trumps. Maybe its a sign, maybe I should have just asked here in the first place, so.... If anyone would be generous enough to sell, donate or by some other arrangement would like to help a patient man acquire some spores then I would be very very happy. Kind Regards [ 12. Thankyou all for your knowledge, I realise I have much to learn. But I think I'm confident enough to take my first step into the ring now. But as you all know, we never stop learning, so I know I will be back.

:D Thankyou for your prompt responses. Very much appreciated. Got to love this site. I like the idea of the ice cream tubs in the container with perlite so I'm off on that road now. And of course I'm only growing legal shrooms, besides, I can't decipher what the gnomes I know are trying to tell me yet. I did think of another question though... In regards to the top level in my cake jars, if I go with the foil seperation thing, when it comes to innoculation do I pierce the foil layer through the lid or do I have to take it out or whats going on there? Thanks again.

Hi everyone, After many hours of research and pondering I think I'm ready for some practical shrooming. Could someone please direct me in the right direction as to where people in Perth can pick up some good sized jars for making cakes. Also I'd rather not ask for needles at a chemist so is there another way, or is there an actual mycology shop in Perth I couldn't find in my search? I'm pretty sure I can get my hands on everything else... I have a few more questions if you have the time... I'm going to attempt using the casing container itself as a fruiting chamber (as a second choice I was considering birthing single cakes on lids on wet perlite in a fruiting chamber and trying to get multiple flushes off them...hopefully casings bring more mushrooms). For my casing I thought I would go with either vermiculite / coco coir mix or verm / potting mix (no ferts and oven baked). Any suggestions, pointers? Have I got this right: fine grade vermiculite for my cakes but med - coarse verm for casing? Does anyone use organic water (stream, lake, other) for their substrate mix? Any noticable differences in the produce? I read somewhere that honey can be added to the water before mixing into the rest of the substrate as to provide for more food. What's the good word on this procedure? When I pack my substrate into my jars does there have to be a 1/2 - 3/4 inch layer of dry vermiculite on top or do I pack the substrate to the top? I thankyou for reading this far and would appreciate any responses or further comments that come to mind when you read this. Kind Regards
