    not sure if it is antibiotic, but hordine from cacti(lophs, trichs) is said to be very effective against staph, (amongst other properties, which I haven't gone into)

    I have seen things like this at bunnings, etc. A bit pricey though. You could always build one. I have previously left scop out in winter... and Have seen cacti in gardens planted in soil which obviously kick on through winter. I too would also like to know who keeps there cacti in greenhouses during winter.

    this is a great idea ace, although, may have some legal issues, particually if uploaded to the site. I have also seen the food of the gods pdf which you speak off. The copy I saw was on e-bay.

    thanks for you contribution regarding alkaloid make-up of specific trichs, this is an interesting topic, as I imagine that the experience would differ from species to species somewhat. I did use the search engine, and found the 1st table listed. This however is only 1 source of information, and it doesnt hurt to ask here(a specific knowledge base) for input from others who deal with the topic on a regular basis. What exactly does it make you question? Also, in an earlier post, you stated that "you think you know me" what exactly do you mean by that?
