encryption might be a problem without 3rd party apps.

I did read what you said. I feel like encryption is a null point considering the forum we are chatting on now isn't even https.

I'm an Applied IT undergrad, happy to help.

Didn't mean to annoy you by making a discord channel, I'm just solutions orientated.

Seems there's an encryption plugin for discord you could check out -> https://chefkochblog.wordpress.com/2018/05/26/discordcrypt-unofficial-end-to-end-encryption-for-discord-has-arrived/

well I dont know what discord is, but from my FB experience, the best type of groups are private groups specialised in one subject, with relatively few (can be as few as 20 or 30, or even 8-10 people)   but active members .

I agree with northerner that SAB has somewhat that appeal, in a slower time line. Like he said, most visit once a month  or rarer.  Its pretty cool that is still alive though

if its a chat - space, I am in

    Just to answer your questions..

Yes it is a chat space. There are 'channels', both text an audio, on the side panel of Discord for each respective server. These can cover specific topics to keep concerns separated. For instance, we could replicate the boards on SAB in channels. If anyone wants to admin hmu.

^Sativa ash as in C. sativa and incense ash as in frankincense resin ash right?

Aside from the action of ash itself inside the snuff, are you choosing the various ash of certain plants with certain properties you want in the blend or is it more a matter of needing to add non-toxic ash and just using whatever ash is on hand? Ie: from the cone you just smoked and the incense you used to cover the smell?

Haha kinda. I've been using incense ash for it's pleasant sent, I do make a point of choosing nice incenses and I pick them for their scent and properties. As for the c. sativa ash - yeah that was just because I had a bunch of leaf on hand and I figure the ash is probably pretty innate. The last blend I used olive leaf ash, but it was a bitch to burn and collect it - so I wasn't so fussed this time round. The incense wasn't frankincense, actually unsure what this brand was. Just had a few sticks in my room and it smells nice.

  5. I've had a few requests to run another online meet. The first one wasn't awfully successful, but I didn't give much notice. Hoping more people show up to this one. We will use jitsi meet, a secure and encrypted video conferencing platform -> https://meet.jit.si/

    Time: 9 PM, EST

    Open to: All SAB members

  6. Due to social distancing laws we can't meet in person at the moment, but that doesn't have to stop us! Using the group meet client Jitsi, we can share video/audio feeds and trade plants through the post.

Jitsi meet is a fully encrypted, open source video conferencing solution that is completely free and runs in browser. There is also a mobile and PC app if that's more your style.

Originally this was just going to be a Perth thing but we've decided to open it up to everyone in Australia.  It's booked for this Saturday 18th at midday, but if that's too early for you please speak up :)

I've made a Facebook event for this here ->

Can you guys please invite your contacts? :) I think Saturday might be too short notice now, so i've added a poll on the page people can vote on. Thoughts on that?

  8. Can confirm. A friend of mine told me the same story and i was like 'wtf bs man' so i threw about a kg of various store bought poppy seed around my yard along with some papaver somniferum var giganteum. My friend told me that 'Spencers' brand was the best. It actually says on the back of the packet that it is seed from papaver somniferum and that papaver somniferum is harvested for codeine and morphine.

I had to thin them out numerous times because 1kg was far too much seed for my yard.  I was just excited. The store bought poppies did contain alkaloids, but the pods were small. Then again, all I had to compare to that was 'strain' was the giganteum pods. I'd just grow giganteum if I did it again, but it's worth growing store bought poppy seed if it's all you can get.

I actually walked up and down my street and threw 1kg around people's yards on my block near reticulation also. Nothing ever came up sadly.

    Bravo!

    Loving that recipe my friend.

Any chance of sampling your interesting combination of Mother natures sacred delights?

I'm really digging the concept of infusing aromatics too.

I've been experimenting with Cloves, Star Anise, Cinnamon Quills, Ethiopian Frankincense and Sumatran Benzoin with excellent results.

    Keep up the good work!

    I'll inbox you.

  10. Share your recipes for Rapé here!

    I'll start us off.

    Visionary blend

40% fresh mapacho leaf, oven dried (green)

20% sun dried mapacho leaf (browned by the sun)

    10% salvia divinorum leaf

    10% caapi leaf

    15% caapi leaf ash

    15% olive leaf ash

    4% patchouli ash (from incense)

    4% salvia recognita leaf

    2% poppy flower

Combined in a mortal and pestle, sieved, then left in the sun in a transparent air tight container to satisfy the 'sun activation' elements of traditional recipes. Added two sprigs of fresh mint and half a cinnamon quill to the container to infuse aromatics before sealing it.

Really loving this blend so far. The high ash content makes it relatively smooth on the nose, there's enough nicotine content to get a warm feeling from minute amounts and the salvia/caapi admixture is surprisingly active. Getting slight visuals off just two small inhalations, and quite a noticeable change to mindset.
