Making sense of HBWR
TheMooseZeus replied to TheMooseZeus's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
My HBWR seeds to be doing really poorly, many of the few leaves it has left are mangled and yellow and there are large cracks along the main vine. The tips have dried out too -
Bringing up an old thread so i dont have to make a new one! Rustica seems to be very resistant to insects so i can see how it would be used as a pesticide. As for poison, people smoke the stuff? Is getting some on your skin or in your mouth that bad? Especially a few grams/ litre

Hi all! I'm looking for the rooted cuttings of Psychotria Viridis Banisteriopsis caapi And Passiflora incarnata (I will also happily accept seeds for these little guys) I was thinking $15 for each cutting and as for incarnata seeds, $5 - 6? Please PM me if you could help me out and we can discuss prices

I'll PM you soon!

Sun opener imposter!
TheMooseZeus replied to TheMooseZeus's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)

Hi! My sun opener is doing well but there seems to be a very similar imposter in with the plants that looks slightly different than the rest. Is it a weed or the beautiful sun opener? (Pic not uploading will post in comments) Cant upload pic will try later

Hi all! I'm looking for a few Wollemi pine plants as gifts for some mentors. I've been in touch with one nursery who said they should have them around this time next month and told me Flower Power garden centre had them in stock. Was wondering if anyone had seen them around preferably NSW area - Thanks so much

Spring/Summer Garden plans
TheMooseZeus replied to TheMooseZeus's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
I was the same last year, it is a great novelty hahaha (not too sure what to do with 15 Trinidad scorpion plans...). I've put a few carrots in so far, some chili's. My garlic is going very well so far, i planted them early as i wanted to put some manure in the soil so a few smaller ones rotted but the others are super healthy. I planted some passionfruit seeds from a local tree late last summer and they're really starting to take off. I just bought two eggplant plans which should do well. I have a fair bit of corn going too and some variations such a bloody butcher corn. I'll keep an eye out for others. I've had some herbs growing or at least the ones which survived winter. Beans can certainly be grown in large pots though- 4 replies

Erowid just posted an article on their Facebook page talking about a California researcher discovering CBD in a variety of Hops (kriya humulus) https://www.westword.com/marijuana/cbd-derived-from-the-hop-plant-not-cannabis-now-offered-by-peak-health-foundation-10578719

Some of the leaves didn't quite go crispy or the recovery is working. Either way, things are looking up

Hello all! I need some inspiration on what to plant in my veggie patch or in pots around the garden this spring and summer. I sadly have very little space :/ What are you all planting?

Very very true, i neglected it thinking they were very drought hardy, i thought what little rain/ moisture there was would keep it kicking... i have learnt my lesson
-
Hey, im pretty sure the drought killed this little guy. Is it worth keeping it around? There is still green on the stem

Pretty sure you can't see it in NSW :/ I've seen the orion nebular a few times, never in great detail though. I've seen purple clouds which obviously have depth. It's hard to share with a phone camera but i'll attach a picture. When you can see the milky way, the best way to spend a night with a telescope is just scanning the stars with the widest lens... Its incredible. I can understand why making a sun filter would be so dangerous and now that i think about it, any errors would be pretty disastrous. And yeah, there are more rods around our retina then in the centre which are better suited for detecting light, though less colour.
