That egg looks just like a lighter!

Same here! For some reason, i plant them expecting not to germ... Like i dont believe it will but i just hope it does... Only with acacia's though

Unlike humans, i believe plants solely focus on the efforts of keeping the species alive not the individual. I believe an ethical harvest is one that does not interrupt the plants natural state of being and more importantly reproducing. If the plant is harmed or killed, simply replacing the plant or growing one or two in it's place is ethical. ie, if harvesting the plant forcing one to plant two more of the species, not harvesting the plant isn't ethical. Any importance put on individual plants is human ego and not of the plants concern. On the other hand, many traditions involve leaving gifts such as tobacco for the plants when they are harvested... EDIT: In regards to leaving an offering such as tobacco; it is the difference between mindlessly harvesting a plant and meaning mindful and really thinking about what you are doing (Even more so if you value your tobacco)

I've often felt light headed smelling the plant! I thought it may just be placebo. Though i am sceptical when it comes to plant sprits i am very drawn to it in a way, it's very interesting to see grow. I take it that cigars don't kill people because you don't eat the thing? That info is really good to know, thank you so much for sharing.

So many plant medicines have an agenda and lessons to teach about itself or the outside world. There is a guiding presence that is quite obvious! I just don't get it with Hawaiian baby woodrose. There is no ancient voice or guidance of the plant. No real agenda on openness and compassion for our planet and each other. For a plant medicine it seems very unguided. I want to help myself and hopefully others to understand the force behind this flower.

Making sense of HBWR
TheMooseZeus replied to TheMooseZeus's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
My HBWR seeds to be doing really poorly, many of the few leaves it has left are mangled and yellow and there are large cracks along the main vine. The tips have dried out too -
Bringing up an old thread so i dont have to make a new one! Rustica seems to be very resistant to insects so i can see how it would be used as a pesticide. As for poison, people smoke the stuff? Is getting some on your skin or in your mouth that bad? Especially a few grams/ litre

DMT levels in a Psychotria Viridis leaf over a 21 hour period
TheMooseZeus posted a topic in Pharmacology, Chemistry & Medicine
This shows that the best times to harvest P. viridis are 6 am and 6 pm. (Sunrise and sunset) I was wondering if we could correlate/compare data such as the activity of insects in a 24 hours period or humidity percentages etc. (bearing in mind that this plant was in the jungle) Original source - https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/221d/facd7adfa3947e46cd101764a3d25e9da678.pdf?_ga=2.40171938.1492583384.1526295629-1998647047.1526295629 Pic was taken from the Herbalistic instagram- 3 replies

DMT levels in a Psychotria Viridis leaf over a 21 hour period
TheMooseZeus replied to TheMooseZeus's topic in Pharmacology, Chemistry & Medicine
I thought it could have something to do with light exposure but it seems less so when you consider that many plants have high levels of DMT in their roots some produce it exclusively in their roots. This seems to suggest insects?- 3 replies

Hi all! I'm looking for a few Wollemi pine plants as gifts for some mentors. I've been in touch with one nursery who said they should have them around this time next month and told me Flower Power garden centre had them in stock. Was wondering if anyone had seen them around preferably NSW area - Thanks so much

This is what i was looking at, apparently the nursery in the sydney botanic gardens is supplying them mid October

Hello all! I need some inspiration on what to plant in my veggie patch or in pots around the garden this spring and summer. I sadly have very little space :/ What are you all planting?

Spring/Summer Garden plans
TheMooseZeus replied to TheMooseZeus's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
I was the same last year, it is a great novelty hahaha (not too sure what to do with 15 Trinidad scorpion plans...). I've put a few carrots in so far, some chili's. My garlic is going very well so far, i planted them early as i wanted to put some manure in the soil so a few smaller ones rotted but the others are super healthy. I planted some passionfruit seeds from a local tree late last summer and they're really starting to take off. I just bought two eggplant plans which should do well. I have a fair bit of corn going too and some variations such a bloody butcher corn. I'll keep an eye out for others. I've had some herbs growing or at least the ones which survived winter. Beans can certainly be grown in large pots though -
I recently saw the sunshine makers on Netflix- good stuff and great sound track

Keep going! Might be interesting

Some of the leaves didn't quite go crispy or the recovery is working. Either way, things are looking up

Hey, im pretty sure the drought killed this little guy. Is it worth keeping it around? There is still green on the stem
