The multi-dimensional universe hiding inside your head
Northerner replied to Thoth's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
I'm a great believer also of broken modern scientific theory, especially as so much new research has forced narratives due to economics and mass educated paradigms. But I still find this stuff highly interesting and don't write it off completely. Hopefully they prove duality with halidron collider before they create a singularity. -
The multi-dimensional universe hiding inside your head
Northerner replied to Thoth's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
Seeing is believing. There's been a lot of speculation and theoretical testing amongst physicists and they are doing their best to prove the existence of additional dimensions past out known 4. String theory and M Theory have given rise to to scientific terms of duality, super-symmetry and branes. Unfortunately the dimensions that are being theorized exist on a micro level and we can't see them, but the implications for scientific applications are huge. -

Well I never believed in multiple dimensions until i saw it with my own mind. It can't be unseen now. -

And there that journalist was thinking free speech was allowed and that the truth was okay to publish. That'll teach him.

Cubes hide in the grass and can often not be seen until you are right on top of them. You gotta do the foot k's mate, you're never gonna get em driving around looking out the window.

Yeah it's a classic. I love my Aussie films, seem to tick all the boxes. Other great ones to be seen include The Castle, Wyrmwood, Blue Dog, Dark City... the list goes on. Not forgetting other classics like Chopper and Wolf Creek as well.

So many sweet memories with that album for me. Those were great years when the K&D sessions came out. And this album from the same era. So sexy and dark, so many dank tracks.

could... might even be good except for that pesky taxation issue. -
The Currency Revolution - With Bitcoin

You guys surely understand that this is a speculative bubble. Bubbles degrees can't be seen in real time, only in retrospect. History shows us this. I'm not saying crypto isn't great for investors now or to sell all your alt-coins (I'm certainly holding right now). But it will pop, demand will taper and people will cash in. Other investors will see the trend and sell too. Some will be winners and some will be losers. Where it's mean value falls after the pop is another point of contention, though I suspect it is not as high as it is now. Think of dot-com, housing estates, or even tulips... -

Watched Infinity Chamber last night. Was well worth it. More psychological that special effects, a nice break from the usual turds that call themselves modern sci-fi. No jump scares here, but a cool story with very few mistakes. Anti Matter was on the watch list last week. Also a great addition to to low budget sci-fi. Really enjoyed it and will no doubt watch it again. These 2 could be watched back to back. Very genre related and show what can be done with a little (lot of) perseverance and dedicated new talent.

Acacia that suits my tropical location
Northerner replied to Northerner's topic in Australian Native Plants
Through trial and thrifty-ness I've managed to get my hands on a variety of different acacia seed. Will update with some pics as they grow, because... well... just because. "Thrift comes too late when you find it at the bottom of your purse." ~Seneca -
Hi, It's my first post here... I would do an introduction or something but there doesn't seem to be a forum for that. Just to say I'm a very happy grower of many interesting plants and am glad to be here. Recently I've been looking at adding some acacia to my garden in mind to harvest sustainably over years in the future. What I'm finding though is most acacias besides simplex prefer cooler/drier areas. Simplex provides some challenges after harvest, so I am looking for some advice on other acacias that will grow well and happy in my area. My latitude is between 17°-18°S and I'm on the coast. My soil type is fairly loamy on top with reddish clay deep underneath. I considered for a while adding M. Hostilis, but there are so many more beautiful trees natively that require less destructive harvesting. It's just finding the right one for me. Any advice on what would be suitable for my area would be greatly appreciated.

How should i prepare and use cold pasteurized sugar cane mulch
Northerner replied to drpotato's topic in Mycology
Ah okay, that's news to me. Found a few interesting articles with the google machine and learned a bit. Cheers. I didn't think think people used pascalization either, it would probably take an expensive machine. Would be verrry cool to have one though. -
sobriety... sweet sweet ongoing sobriety.

How should i prepare and use cold pasteurized sugar cane mulch
Northerner replied to drpotato's topic in Mycology
I believe you need a specific device for cold pasteurization. It involves putting a tremendous amount of force on the material to kill bacteria. See Pascalization. I've done it on the stove top with success plenty of times. Never got the courage to build something that could pasteurize large quantities of substrate before. I'm not techynickel enough. -

Funny that Deagal is putting South Africa ahead of Australia in GDP in the forecast. That's laughable... they are more corrupt and twisted than we could ever hope to be. Tribalism and democracy mix like oil and water. -

It's not governance that is the issue. It is the lack of balance. Without a "system" there would be no society. Sure the system is doomed, the human race is a plague and globalism is a lie. The push is coming from all sides in this struggle... the "powers", the "poor", the "environment" and human nature itself. We have entered a great extinction period (literally) and soon enough humans will start to die off too. I don't think there is much we can do but accept the inevitable at this stage, and carve out our little bit of happiness and truth for ourselves. -

I think the majority of Australians are naive, indoctrinated and sheepish. Any individual you pick could be present minded, but when put in a group they start bleating in chorus. Seriously, everyone would stop voting for these major parties and look for right wing alternatives no matter how damaging it is in the short term, if they really understood what is going on. -
