    Unidentified Flying Cacti

Thank you for that, gets me wondering as to why people are lugging many kilos of cactus around Brisbane late at night only to leave it in someones yard...strange.

    Starting a small garden.....

Hey all... Been a while since I've been on these forums due to lack of the net, however I have just moved into a new apartment in Brisbane and am planning on starting a nice little garden. I will have about a patch of approx 3mx2m outside and will maybe have a bit of hydro space inside, probably 6 plants max indoors. Now for the question, what would you guys grow if you were faced with a similair area? It would all have to be legal in good old Brissie cause I do not enjoy the prospect of raids. I am interested in all sorts of entheogens, succulents and a few herbs would be nice. Any advice will be helpful, and thank you in advance. FCL PS. Have limited internet access so will unfortunately only be able to check back sparingly, apologies for any troubles that may cause.

    Starting a small garden.....

The Khat and Sage (a legal variety of course) sound good, with the tobacco, what are the legality concerns? also I'm thinking maybe some Psychotria and B.Caapi. Also what are peoples thoughts on Iboga? Been curious about it for a while but of course can't get my hands on any. I would have to have some chillies also, cannot live without. I have developed a curiosity towards the old stevia plant aswell. What would be some good plants to throw in to keep the bugs away? I would like to minimise the pesticides used. With the succulents, I'd be more inclined to have a try at 2 or 3 pedro's grown in my simple hydro pots, I've read that some excellent growth rates can be achieved this way. Thanks heaps for the advice so far, anymore would be appreciated. FCL

    Peter Brock RIP

Ironically, and hypocritically, I just made a post on another thread with the same theme. I blame my crankiness on my large amount of midsemesters and assignments that I have been studying for/doing. My problem is not with ricebox per se, but mainly with the lack of knowledge todays "tuners" have. People these days don't realise that once upon a time, body kits and wings had a genuine use, it's called downforce. Nowadays all they do is stuff up airflow over any cooling system and prevent you from going over speed bumps. Sleepers are the way to go, nothing funnier than watching a rusty Volvo wagon blowing everyone of at an amateur drag meet. It's good to here you have learnt your lesson, as that is one of the most important things in life, you've got my respect. Cheers FCL

oh dear, possessing DMT while drunk is a very bad idea

Everyone makes mistakes, it's usually not a big deal, as long as you learn from it and do your best to avoid making the same mistake again (that's a general observation not targetted at stonewolf). Life is a learning experience, we can never be perfect, but we can always improve, and you can't improve without making mistakes. It is very dangerous to give drugs to people without their knowledge or consent, you got off easy this time. Live and learn. Cheers FCL

    Peter Brock RIP

I apologise evil, I don't mean to attack you directly, but this is quite a touchy topic with me. I've been an aquantince of a few people who have died driving like idiots and I have seen the aftermath of a situation where someone I went to school with killed his younger brother by driving into a tree at approximately 200km/h, spent the next few months recovering in hospital and denying it ever happened, was ostrasized by his family, turned to the bottle and if I remember correctly is now a complete psychological wreck. I agree that the HDT commodores are good cars, and good reports of V8's are few and far between in this era of turbocharged chinese takeaway containers. Skylines. Cheers FCL

    Peter Brock RIP

evil, although your actions did not have adverse consequences in that circumstance, countless people have not been so lucky. I'd like to see you try and explain the fact that speeding down a freeway, that at the time you did not know how many people were on, did not endanger OTHER peoples lives. Especially try and explain it to all the people who have lost family and friends at the irresponsible hands of "hoons." Even better, explain it to the people who have taken someone elses life accidently only trying to achieve that "thrill" of going fast. It seems everyone here agrees it was stupid, what seems to annoy Torsten IMO is your attempts at justifying the stupidity by essencially saying "dont worry, nothing happened." It's not your actions per se that have affected Torsten, it is the similair actions of other people that have resulted in deaths. To say that Peter Brock put his name to a care so people could break the law is the strangest claim I have heard recently. Doing a quick google search, I can't actually find evidence to say that Brock has even recieved a fine for anything car related (correct me if I'm wrong). If he drives responsibly, why would he encourage others not to? Finally evil, maybe you should answer your own question, why build a fast car when you know you cant use it on the streets? Cheers FCL

Old anorexic whore on the cross

The hype around such technologies is the thing that makes me most paranoid. The old polygraph was used to find "liars", and now isn't admissable in court as it is quite unreliable. Unfortunately, we know much more about the physiological response to deception then we do neurobiological (possibly wrong/made up word), so what makes these companies think such things will be more reliable? Also, last time I checked, and correct me if I'm wrong, modern fMRI's have a very low resolution, which means specifying which part of the brain is active isn't very accurate, and any understanding of the function of areas of the brain are based on relatively recent studies and are poorly understood on the required level. Even more scary, the positioning of different cognitive areas of the brain vary in different individuals and the way information is processed is very culturally dependant. The cultural difference is a problem because the majority of terrorist suspects will be Arab because of the current stereotype, and the interrigators(sp?) will most likely be American, presumabely making the questions very American culture specific, thus possibly skewing the results. This seems to be an idea aimed at making money more than assisting antiterrorism "efforts" IMHO. Wow, this post has been hijacked more times than airliners in the 1970's Cheers FCL www.pnas.org/cgi/reprint/103/28/10775.pdf

    Good, Cheap Sheesha

Does anyone know where I can get some good quality, well-priced sheesha? I normally buy from Off Your Tree but I am fed up with paying $35 for a 50g box of Al Fakher (world-class brand) Rose when I know that it is practically given away in it's country of origin. 500g probably wouldn't even be that much. I'm now on the last legs of some 6 month old shitty El Hennaway (cheap brand, tastes it too) Apple. Alternatively does anyone know a reliable website where I can purchase sheesha and other hookah related items? Cheers FCL

That perception may be better for that person, but a lot of people in this world don't agree with that perception. The 9/11 issue is actually quite an interesting read, either conspiracy theorists are getting better or government cover ups are getting worse. Points of interest are the Bush families ties to the bin Laden family and the reasons why Osama bin Laden is angry at America (he has quite a few good ones, not saying that his method, if it is his method, of attack is okay though.) Google it. Sorry for the post hijack. Cheers FCL

    Good, Cheap Sheesha

To avoid nicotine poisoning try and keep your sugar levels up. I've read that most of the problems are caused by a drop in blood pressure and that sugary sweets and drinks should cancel the effect. Also, never smoke on an empty stomach and don't rush, it's supposed to be a relaxing time not a race. I will probably go check them out next time I'm in the area, thanks for the heads up. Cheers FCL

Coalition or ALP, who has the most backward drug policy?

Green's seem to be the way to go. Having a look at a few of their policies it's almost as if they actually have listened to scientific evidence and aren't primarily based on fear campaigns. Wish I had enrolled to vote, oh well. Cheers FCL

    Croc hunter dead???

Steve Irwin was a dickhead, but there's nothing really wrong with that is there? At least he was an entertaining dickhead. And maybe he isn't as informative as Sir David Attenborough, but how many bogans sitting on their dilapidated couches drinking cans of Fosters watch Attenborough? Not many. Steve Irwin brought conservationism to the Australian idiot, in a sense. Thats got to be better than nothing. Also, maybe he sucked up to John Howard so he could influence some of Johnny's decisions in his now nonexistent future. I know if I met John Howard I would be nice to him in the hope that I could inform him of how stupid some of the things he says are (ie "Jihad is not present in any other culture", 1. Islam is a relegion not a culture, 2. What were the Crusades?). Cheers FCL

    Good, Cheap Sheesha

Tripitaka>> Unfortunately I don't live in Sydney but thanks anyway. JJ>> Sheesha is tobacco leaf that is mixed with molasses and flavoured, it is smoked through a hookah, which is a large water-pipe invented to smoke opium, but is now only used for sheesha. To smoke anything else through it, though possible, is considered disrespectful. Very good for a relaxed conversation with friends over sweets and lebanese coffee. If you live near Brisbane and PM me I would be happy to introduce you to it first-hand. nabraxas>> That's actually quite a good idea, I'll give it a try. Thanks a lot. Cheers FCL

    Tobacco companies increase nicotine content

That antismoking virus has already killed some of my favourite hang outs, the hookah cafes. Most of my mates are wogs, and we would sit at the coffee shops for hours smoking sheesha, eating baklava and turkish delight, and having loud conversations. Now we all have to come to my shitty shared accommodation and smoke overpriced low quality sheesha on my balcony with cheap coffee and biscuits. Not as pleasant IMO, especially because most my wog mates are hated by the intolerant assholes I live with. Luckily rumour has it a hookah only "cafe" has opened near Surfers Paradise somewhere, will have to journey down and check it out at some stage. Cheers FCL

Religion is not the problem in this world. If there was no religion the people who use it as a scape-goat will just come up with another excuse. Madonna has tried to tie Bush, Christianity and third-world poverty into one big ball of evil, but all she has done is recreate the exact thing that causes many problems in this world, misinformation. Yes, Bush claims to be Christian, but does that make him one? It is just like all those Eminem wannabees who claim their black. Just because they say it doesn't change anything. The truth is, there is no truth on this Earth, there is only perception, and as soon as someone claims their perception is the correct and only plausible truth, death and war follows. That is my belief anyways. Cheers FCL

    First post/HBWR trade

Yeh I do pity them as they most likely would have just gone half each, so thats about 25 odd seeds, most likely unprepared, just chewed the buggers down after a big pizza or something. That would be some crazy nausea over the first 2 hours, one hell of a trip afterwards though if they didn't decide to off themselves to end their pain first. Also if anyone reads this and thinks it is some sort of directions on how to correctly take these seeds, you are most likely an idiot IMO, but you never know, could work. Cheers FCL

G'day, I've been loitering on this site for a while now and i thought it's about time a posted. I'm a brisbanite uni student studying psychology at UQ. I'm looking to start using my green thumb in the near future, just need to get some room to grow in. I've also got about 50 relatively fresh HBWR seeds laying around if anyone wants to make a trade, wouldn't mind some san pedro, some psychotria or another DMT containing plant, anything interesting really. In conclusion, this is a great forum and I look forward to being an active member of it. Cheers

Yeh the sadest part is the only reason they knew where they were was because I was giving them some for free so they could experience the joy of this generally lesser known plant. Then I went for a shower came back and they were gone, with all my seeds. But everything happens for a reason. Cheers FCL

G'day everyone It appears that all my seeds were stolen last night by two guys I met on the bus when I was absolutely wasted, so unfortunately I will not be able to offer them to this community anymore. Things like that happen I guess, luckily my collection was quite small. Cheers FCL
