  1. Thanks kapitan kamisutra. I thought the same about being a P.semilanceata look alike. It was explained to me that the cap becomes too convex with age though. The circled mushroom shows bluing on the stem. It has to be blown up a bit with magnification. If you go to shroomery and type in Antonio7865 you can find the photo and blow it up. I just checked it to make sure.
  2. I've noticed wrong info already. It was Friday 17th April that I worked out they were psilocybin mushrooms.
  3. The photos are being uploaded off 2 galleries. One has some photos of P.subaeruginosa mixed in. They are the ones with the gold caps and pale blue stems. Just thought I'd point that out so no one can say he just found a bunch of subs.

    Eating A. muscaria?

Pretty photo. Mutant what do you think about the notion that Santa Claus is A.muscaria? I think if that was the case the reindeer would be running the other way. They'd be stampeding the sled to have a bite of Santa.
  5. Hey thanks mutant. An astrologer told me to carry my egoism with pride. Much like Leo she said. A flaw I continually deal with is a self negating Capricornian one I think. I think you must be athletic to find those Boletus and other edible mushrooms. Mushroom hunting can be quite rigorous at times. Every time I go for a walk around here I'm always looking. I went to an astrologer with a bit of a rep about 25 years ago. She said the type of woman I'm attracted to is Piscean in nature. Other people have said Sagittarian. I've only been with an Aries a Sagittarius and a Cancer. What do think looking at my chart.

    Brace yourselves! Winters coming!

Thanks Dooligar. I'll give it a go next. The little green spot on Kai has turned into a fresh green patch. The others are greening up on the tips also. SAB bridgesii has given birth to a third pup up the stem a bit.

    Brace yourselves! Winters coming!

I think they were affected because the weather had been so mild before the cold snap. I had a look at them a day after that cold night and the tips on some of them the skin had gone rough looking and yellowish. The worst affected ones mentioned the tips started to divide up into smaller segments. There were cracks between the segments that formed over the next 2weeks becoming deeper. I am up 900 meters and the day after that bad frost they received early morning to midday sun. I'm thinking the combination of frost - the first one of the year and sun on the frozen tips burnt them. I'm pretty sure they'll get over it. Sounds like a good idea with the polystyrene cups to insulate the tips. I can take pics but can't post them because my solar batteries have died recently. So all I have is my phone for the internet.

    Brace yourselves! Winters coming!

I just had a look at the pup on Kai and can see some fresh green growth in the center so I think it's going to be okay. Perhaps the skin is thinner on a young pup? Kai with the exception of the pup, Jess and Penis plant were the three bridgesii in my garden that showed no frost damage. I think Kai and Tig are the fastest growers as well. HB06 does not like the cold here.I still think it will get through the winter though. HBO5 is going well so no offence to herbalistics. HBO6 was the only Trichocereus that got black spot after the rain earlier on this year. I read on these forums that putting a dab of honey on it was worth a go. It sure healed up quick. That might be genetics however.

    Brace yourselves! Winters coming!

Where I live it gets down to about minus one degree C. About two weeks ago I looked at the temp at 8.30 in the morning and it said minus two. Since then some of my bridgesii are suffering. A pup on kai split open and now has black rot there. HBO6 split. One Eileen as well. A Con and a SAB bridge too. The rest are coping fine. I'm in the mountains at 30 degrees so it still gets warm sun at this time of the year.I only started getting into Trichocereus sp. end of last year so they range in size from about eight inches to a foot and a half. They are all in the ground. I'm inclined to do nothing and see if they'll get over it. Right idea or wrong?
  10. Just one in water Neptune in Scorpio. No air. I hear you about lack of social skills and the inability to empathise with others. Guess that's why I've spent that much time alone. Live in my own little fantasy world. Always in an altered state of consciousness not neccessarily through drugs. Excessive in just about everything I do. Always had a lot of energy.Felt crazy in my twenties from excess energy. These dsys I'm still crazy with energy. When I have worked for other people I end up hated by co workers because of my near mental work ethic of having no time for anything but work. I'm on a pension now because I hear, see and feel things that aren't real they tell me. I'm obsessive about Tai chi. My teacher back in the 80's said all this crap about how I was supposed to carry the banner of his style. Well 30 years later I am not doing that because it would mean I couldn't practise as much if I had to teach others. So yes I am fixated on myself and freely admit it. I used to work out charts with an ephemeris and table of ascendants. These days I guess everyone does it on their computer? I don't mind posting my details. I've been a scapegoat many times. 7th Jan 1960 1.55am. Born in Sydney Australia. Good luck mutant.

    Eating A. muscaria?

I agree about it being hard to remember things after a good dosage. I never ate more than half a cup of chopped dried caps. The time that I did the only thing I remember was that walking was like floating. I was laying down most of the time seeing colours and feeling so out of it. I had divided the dose up eating just a spoonful first. Half an hour later I ate the rest. A neighbour came over. The first portion started to kick in. I was surprised how strong it was. He left and the bigger portion started coming on I thought oh no I've overdone it because I felt that out of it and really disoriented. Even after throwing up numerous times which is when I had to get up and float to the toilet it didn't subside. It was strong but pleasant somehow. I think the dreaminess is what appealed to me. My memory is bad. The Bacchae by Euripides was a play. The parts I liked.best in it read like a poem though.

    Eating A. muscaria?

Always had a soft spot for the poem by Euripides called the Bachae. Remember the speculation by Allegro in Sacred mushroom and the cross that the Dionysus cult was based on the fly agaric. The book saying they were the Belladona mushrooms was a Modern herbal written by Grieves back in about 1930 when they thought Amanita muscaria contained muscarine. So thanks for clearing that up for me mutant about why they called them belladona mushrooms. Those maenads seemed pretty violent. Hardly how I felt after taking them.

    Eating A. muscaria?

Remember the A.muscaria from Oberon in the 80's. First time picked quite a few and boiled them up in a pot of water for about an hour. About 6 of us drank the water. Tasted bitter, sulfury and horrible. We all threw up. Projectile vomiting. Hard to hit the toilet bowl because it tends to hit the wall behind. We all tripped after that. Much more dreamy than psilocybe mushrooms. Nice visuals. After that it was only me and another bender who got into them dried. Drier they are the more effective. Still produced vomiting in big fosages. Didn't matter though because it was great throwing up. Tasted like rasberry jam coming out. Even one heaped tablespoon of dried chopped material (just caps) had an effect. Half a cupfull was powerful. Dreamy floating on air feeling. Bit like morphine in big doses. Would go into the visuals then fall asleep and fly. Smoking the skin off the caps dried in joints was pretty weak. Never had any visuals. Eating it dried could get people really out of it. Was watching s fellow having a phone conversation with his iron. He picked it up and was talking away to a woman we both knew. She must have been talking back because it went on for a while. Funny enough he had just been ironing so I don't know why he didn't feel the heat. He put it down and I had to ask him who it was he was talking to. He told me. I told him he was talking to his iron. The shocked look on his face was priceless. Psilocybin mushrooms have less residual effect. A big fly agaric dose can make people feel quite weird for a couple of days. Think they used to call them the belladona mushrooms bevause they were used as an antidote in the old days for tropane alkaloid poisoning. Muscimol sure has nothing in common with datura. Its good but best to work your way up in increments. Try one heaped tablespoon very dry. Then do two and so on. It always tasted fairly noxious to me. I'd mix it yoghurt to try and get it down but that yuck taste would still be the
  14. Here is an example of why I'm a poor astrologer mutant. What I wrote in the post above should read in relation to a grand trine- moon trine jupiter and uranus. Mars trine uranus. Jupiter trine uranus. Guess it's best to go to sleep around midnight than post on the internet.
  15. Yes all the Sagittarius in my chart makes me feel right at home when you say twisted Capricorn. To hell with materialism. I couldn't make money ever. Never even wanted to. Grand trine in fire with Mars in Sagittarius in the first trine Moon in Aries in the sixth trine Uranus in Leo in the tenth. I love astrology. Not very good at it but being so full of myself with those planets in the first house I'll bore you to tears with all the I'm so good crap. I'd say you have learned a lot if you have only been into astrology for a couple of years. I used to hate it years ago when I'd talk to women who were into astrology. Invariably they would say in about ten seconds what would take me 5 minutes or more to work out the meaning of. Hard having a conversation under those circumstances.
  16. Beelzebub's tales to his grandson by G I Gurdjieff. Made me feel a bit crazy at first. I was told to read it when I had become more present. I didn't listen. Was also told that there are people out there who had read it twenty times and I would not want to meet them. I've become one of those people. No turning back from having to face myself. Certainly a good book to shake things up in a big way. All the certainty about who or what 'I' was went out the window. Very dated but that's not the point. To actually read it and accept what it is saying at face value seems a bit meaningless as well. It was written to foster a type of conciousness in the reader that leads to self remembering or more simply put remaining present. A challenging book to read because as soon as the mind starts to wander into anything but what the book is saying it makes us aware somehow how asleep we really are. Gurdjieff uses ridiculous words to keep our attention or fall back to sleep. Actually a good book to read for insomniacs like myself. It puts me to sleep like nothing else.
  17. New member. Capricorn sun in the second house. Aries moon in the 6th. Saggitarius ascendant. Mercury in Capricorn 2nd house. Venus in Sagittarius 1st. Mars in Sagittarius 1st. Jupiter in Sagittarius 1st. Saturn in Capricorn 2nd. Uranus in Leo 10th. Neptune in Scorpio 12th. Pluto in Virgo 10th. Venus on the ascendant square Pluto in the 10th. Makings of a grand trine in fire with Uranus in Leo on the mid heaven. Capricorns get to the top of their chosen proffesion. I profess to choosing the wrong professions. The police have too much time on their hands I believe. Too much time for me that's for sure.
