these are the ones that my local bunnings had. they are around $10 and they are really just small cuttings but they grow so quickly in my opinion they are worth it. So many different types.

thanks for letting me know, i will definitely keep a look out! -
Hello again guys, Id like your help identifying these few cuttings I got today. Ive identified austrocylindropuntia subulata but thats all I have manages. (the day I can do this myself will be a brilliant day haha) Thanks everyone.
-
also, they sell them at my local bunnings quite often. I picked up one called #123 "Ambrosia" and the pink flowers are nearly 25cm across, they are HUGE! I definitely recommend that one if anyone sees it.

I started off with these when I first got into gardening, they are amazing plants! and they are really easy to grow new colours, I have a few ones I have made. Next time they flower I will take photos. They grow like weeds, the grow anywhere and they grow fast! they seem to love it in perth.

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ, in the video labeled Cactus collection 2012, at 5:28. What is that cactus (?) in the pot? I see it around a lot but have never come across it for sale or with a name attached. If anyone knows that would be amazing. Great videos, always enjoy looking at advanced gardens.

Hylocereus/epi palm grafts (tasted my 1st dragon fruit)
Caitlin replied to Dreamwalker.'s topic in Cacti & Succulents
I have one plant that produces red skinned and white flesh, by far my favourite one. I'll post a photo later. this is probably the first plant I brought and it's about 8 years old and only started getting fruit around 3 years ago. but I do go out at night and fertilise the flowers myself with a paint brush. -
oh. well I'd love up and grab a whatever I can afford, I am just getting started so anything i can get a hold of is a bonus

Ok See the way the Trichocereus Spachianus is just snapped off the mother plant, do I need to do anything different when I go to plant it? I am going to leave it out to dry really well and then put it in my standard potting medium. -
Thanks for that. It does make sense!

Thankyou genius! helps out a lot and ok, I'll just put all three down hahaha. -
these are all so beautiful! can I ask a question that may be something obvious. Do cacti only flower when they are mature? I only see the giant or really old cacti flowering. That may just be my observations. Do you have any "steps" or "tricks" to help to encourage flowering? Thanks guys!

Im a complete noob with cacti, just getting started. But I would definitely be excited to meet up with some of you cacti gurus next time there is some kind of catch up!
-
I think the way to go is too just wait around for council garden collection, I am pretty sure you can google which suburbs are having them. I see frangipanis every single time!
-
oh great, I am really not to fussed about the pot as I will change it anyway. so maybe post pictures of it all? thanks!
-
oooo, I didn't know. I took it down! Thanks for letting me know politely!

Hey man, Id love the KK242, but can I have a look at how it looks where the pups have been taken? normally it wouldn't bother me (definitely not one for perfection) but it is going in a place where all angles can be seen. Hit me up with a PM. Caitlin.

EDIT: taken away This is the address, they have a tonne of advance stuff which unfortunately isn't for sale but they have cuttings off the same plants so you know how they will look in a decade or so, very nice and knowledgable lady was there working as well. However, I will warn they are a tad expensive. Hopefully this is something you guys can go and take a look at.
