  1. I have tried several different containers - seed raising trays, 75mm tubes, 125mm and 200mm pots.

The one that lasted the longest was in a 125mm pot on a heatmat.

I make sure not to give them too much water. I just sow them in damp soil, and then mist the soil with a spray bottle every couple of days.

I generally don't give them any fertiliser, but for some I have tried adding a few granules of potash (Richgro brand).

I keep them indoors in a room that is very warm. I sit them near a window, where they get indirect sunlight.

When they die, they collapse, lie there for a day or so and then shrivel up.

  2. I've already planted all that I want from these, so thought I'd trade them in for something new. I have dried seeds of-

    8 Acacia Longifolia

    10 Acacia Maidenii

    6 Brazillian Psychotria Viridis

    300+ Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

Also have a few prints of P. cubensis Ecuador (for microscopy)

For trade I'm looking for seeds or cuttings of-

    Khat (Catha edulis)

    Tabernanthe Iboga (only if fresh)

    Carolina Reaper Chilli

    Wolfsbane (aconitum vulparia)

  3. Would love some of those seeds.

This is a recipe for a chicken coconut curry I created.

    500g diced chicken breast

    Peanut oil

    3 chillies

    1 clove garlic

    Half an onion

    1 sprig curry leaf

    1 teaspoon cumin

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    1 teaspoon curry powder

    1 teaspoon chicken stock powder

    Half a teaspoon ginger

    Salt and pepper

    Several dashes of tabasco sauce

    2 potatoes

    1 carrot

    1 tablespoon butter

    165ml coconut milk

Basically chop up and fry all the spices, garlic, chillies and onion in peanut oil. Add the chicken and let it cook. Chop up and boil the vegetables separately then add them to the mix (along with the water they were boiled in). Let simmer for at least half an hour. Then add the butter, coconut milk, and tabasco to taste. Let simmer for another 10min.

Serve with rice and naan bread.

  4. Went back there and got a couple of close-ups of the leaves and flowers. That's the first 3rd and 4th pictures.

Also while there I noticed 3 more trees starting to flower. Does anyone have any idea what they could be?
