  1. No way to know for sure if the trait will persist but i would take off the pup with the regular growth as to give the plants energies to the pups with the semi monstrose habits. I have a peru which looks to be of the same type also displaying some unusual characteristics, whether or not this will continue is anyones guess.

    Look after those pups man!

  2. IME tricho seedlings dont really have a problem with overcrowding but they hate having dry conditions of any sort, even for short periods of time. Take-away containers are too shallow for raising tricho seedlings for any extended period of time i have found, they need more rootspace/depth to get going past the early stage of growth. An enlarged version of the take-away method works well but for smaller amounts the baggie method with 63mm squat pots beats it hands down.

  3. I have already posted a few pics of validus from the Fields collection. Here are some shots of the plant i used for my terscheckii crosses. Has been debated by some as to it being a terscheckii due to it being "too skinny" "too spiney" and "a clumper", is obviously far from too skinny and as for the other attributes debated upon, only the clumping is a good point but imo no reason to say its too hard to ID or slot into "terscheckii", flowers have the typical terscheckii form afaic.

  4. your vacuum is a cereus, if you purchase a dyson then you will view it in your dreams as tricho, dysons are the only way to go when it comes to sucking up dirt and crap from your floor. You obviously have a shitty vacuum so get a real vacuum (a dyson)

*Iam not a dyson sales rep. I just love the fuckn things, man, my carpets have never been so clean and my bank account so empty.

  5. Cheers lads :)

I did get the water you sent EG, your helmet is on its way :P

I must also say a HUGE thank you to member "Shoes", he helped me out no end in regards to finalising some outstanding trades and continuing to move some stock that would have been well neglected otherwise. A very honest and generous man he is!

  7. Hello everyone :)

Well it has been the most hectic time of my life the past 3 or so months, alot of changes for good and bad but things settling down now, settling down enough for me to be able to spend limited time back here. Im gon try focus most of my time in tha cacti forum, do a lil clean up here and there and catch up on loose ends i may have left flailing about in the winds of change. Sad to say ive missed alot of action on the cacti front in my own backyard, lots of good oppourtunities to X some sheckshie trichos, graft a million lophs, flowers galore and unimaginable losses due to neglect but these things were unimportant to me at the time and im still yet to get back into the full swing of things but Ima swingin. Anyways, short and sweet, Ill see ya in tha cactus forum :D

  8. CrayZ, they dont seem to have a real long season at all and yes this rain has def helped, need good winter soakings for a nice spring flush, the past few years i have been lucky to get a feed due to the dry winters. I would have no idea where to look around the sydney area but id say head out the hills. Might be hard to find them anywhere close to sydney though due to other pickers and youd be hard pressed to get directions to a morel patch out of anyone thats is in the know.

  9. Yeh i usually have a stash of dried ones and yeh, they are a lil more full on in flavour than the fresh. SIMPLE, that is a key word when cookn wit morels imo. I always shied away from garlic when cookn them, thought it would overpower too much but ill give it a whirl now ya mention it.

  10. Crown land there generally isnt a problem and if there is im sure a ranger or someone will eventually let you know if its not on and tell ya where ya can camp. An old guy set up a permanant camp down the river here years ago, he was setup for a couple of years till they told him he had to move on, the rule used to be 6 weeks and then move on but i really wouldnt have a clue now. If it was me id lob a tent wherever, and see what happens which the worst would be gettn told to move on.

    Where ya thinkn of campin??

  11. never thought about tryin them wit seafood mutant, ill try that one for sure. Even just fried off wit a lil butter and then havin them with cooked chicken is unreal.

ATM im gettn $50 a kg fresh.
