    indoor trichocereus?

Haha, i say it the way i first heard it and its prolly wrong but once ya start usin it a certain way its hard to change. The only one i have been able to change my pronunciation with is spachianus, i used to call it spash-ee-anus now i call it spack-ee-arnus. Lol, who cares

    indoor trichocereus?

You bad bad man lol. I say it brid-jess-ee-eye, potato, potata, tomato, tomata. Be careful blowng, the pronunciation police are watchin and listening and they will get you, oh yes, they WILL get you!!! They cruise around with the grammar detectives ready to fuck everyones day.
  4. Yeh ive been meaning to get back out there and get some more pics of the plant(s) in question hopefully whilst in bloom. FWIW imo it is a lil off for a true to form terscheckii but then again alot of plants i have or know of are a lil off in their appearance especially bridgesii plants (which noone seems to ever argue/discuss about for some reason!), is just a hell of alot easier to place said plants into the category they MOSTLY fit into and anyways, we could all argue till the cows come home about what is a true this or true that. There is just no way of ever knowing the parentage of some plants although its plain to see the hybridisation yet is alot easier to slot them into the closest pigeon hole rather than them being called somethig like "that hybrid looking bridgesii that may be a pachanoi or peru hybrid, im just not sure as something looks amiss" . Bridgesoid, pachanoid, peruvianoid blah blah blah, just the way i do things although it seems to upset a few ppl lol nope, not a thing.
  5. Looks like an echinopsis crest but really could be anything, try an areole graft as suggested, best way to tell. IME lil echinopsis crests grow really fast.

Good luck moses. Im strapped for cash atm so i wouldnt be able to bid as high as i assume these lil numbers will be fought out to. Anything over 150bux wouldnt be unthinkable imo.

    Papaver somniferum seeds

Apparently they know well which farmers are growing which strains and act accordingly. I have heard also that the farmers arent told which type they are growing although im not sure how true that is, seems likely though considering they want to keep the thebaine genetics to themselves. Yep in some stores it would be possible to find imported seed but if i was so inclined i wouldnt bother growing anything other than taz, is a shame to waste a season to poor quality.

    Papaver somniferum seeds

LOL, godamn thebaine. If you were somewhere other than Australia and able to grow the seeds (legally) then just using seeds from the supermarket will give you Taz paps. As has been discussed here before and im sure many other sites it is unlikely that the thebaine producing strain makes it into the spice section of the supermarket for obvious reasons, and no, its not because it could make you ill lol. cant beat taz.

    i want more pinkies

I do believe the heat plays a role in the fruiting. When it started to heat up here this season 2 of my largest lophs shot out pinkies before flowers and they hadnt flowered since the end of summer previous and i do recall it also happening in years gone by but never really gave it a thought. Getting masses of pinkies atm, i just use whatever is at hand to pollinate, at this point in time it is lil bits of tissue rolled up, i just twirl it around in the flowers going over them 2 or 3 times. Pretty rough but it gets the job done. I generally get anywhere between 5 to 16 seeds per pinkie. I pull the fruits when they are fresh, ie, before they have shrivelled any. The only problem i have found is if you try pull them too early they will break in half, ya gotta wait till they are really poking out of the fur. My plants are all in a shadehouse btw, gets hot as hell in there but they thrive. I really need to stop eating them but some of them taste really good, loph fruit jam would be awesome.
  20. Do have jess of size but have not done any prop to speak of so no cutting as yet mutant, will be hacking it up later on this summer and will keep an eye out for signs
  21. No way to know for sure if the trait will persist but i would take off the pup with the regular growth as to give the plants energies to the pups with the semi monstrose habits. I have a peru which looks to be of the same type also displaying some unusual characteristics, whether or not this will continue is anyones guess. Look after those pups man!
  22. IME tricho seedlings dont really have a problem with overcrowding but they hate having dry conditions of any sort, even for short periods of time. Take-away containers are too shallow for raising tricho seedlings for any extended period of time i have found, they need more rootspace/depth to get going past the early stage of growth. An enlarged version of the take-away method works well but for smaller amounts the baggie method with 63mm squat pots beats it hands down.
  23. I have already posted a few pics of validus from the Fields collection. Here are some shots of the plant i used for my terscheckii crosses. Has been debated by some as to it being a terscheckii due to it being "too skinny" "too spiney" and "a clumper", is obviously far from too skinny and as for the other attributes debated upon, only the clumping is a good point but imo no reason to say its too hard to ID or slot into "terscheckii", flowers have the typical terscheckii form afaic.
