Good work as usual Archaea! 1. I see it no more vigorous than many of the SP group, kk339 for one example shows similar if not more vigour in general growth and setting of offshoots ime. 2. I see variation in f1 offspring in many crosses to roughly the same percentage as pc. Of course some crosses are more uniform than others but i dont think the variations are specific to pc hybrids alone, many plants used in crosses are likely f1 themselves. One can only speculate on such matters. 3. Is wildly variable! 4. The floral hair of pc is not unlike that of some bridgesii also. That said, here in Au i have seen very dark to almost straight white on the pc clone (more often the former), that is if the drak haired and light haired ARE the same clone and not different hybrids produced here in Au. Although pollinations trials would prove they be of the same clone due to failure for every pollination attempt. Floral hair seems variable and not a good indicator for identification althought the variation in floral hair to me would suggest a hybrid of sorts, once again pure speculation. On trouts pages the following - "Strybig" has light coloured hair, "UC Peru 64.0762" has light coloured hair and peruvianus "Huancabamba" displays light hair all similar to the lighter coloured hair im used to seeing on the pc clone. I must also say that the colour of the floral hair displayed by the "pachaNOT" in trouts pages is far more white than i am accustomed to seeing here in Au, FAR more white! The "pachaNOT" in a collection here in Au was said to be wild collected from Sth America just prior to 1920 or thereabouts. The region it was collected from escapes me atm but this information isnt hard to get. Still, being wild collected is the only information, no idication if it were from a single plant or stabilised population in a certain region. So it sheds no light on lineage. Most of what i read is him complaining, generally about nazi this and nazi that although im sure he has contributed his fair share over the years. The seller of the items listed in this thread has thankfully decided to edit out mention of alks, seems like a very reasonable person indeed

LOL! that is exactly what another seller said to me when i contacted them for a THIRD time in regards to their not wanting to change the mention of alks. I mentioned reporting it to ebay and that was one of the first things they said. Sometimes there is no other option im afraid.

Great, another douchebag. The last guy or girl that had the listing i mentioned to a few ppl here said they wouldnt change the listing and that it didnt matter as they were heading overseas anyway!!! What a thoughtful attitude. Myself and another member reported it to ebay but as with policy im unsure of the outcome. another thing..... I have seen this a few times on ebay now, that super pedro is a pach x scop, the first person i saw using it was shamandude aka gomaos from EA, even if his plants are really pach x scop i dont know why he decided to use the name super pedro and if it isnt his cross or one he knows to actually be pach x scop rather the clone most of here know as super pedro then he is full of shit saying it is pach x scop. That is unless he has gone the whole genetics route and knows it to be that for sure! lol. I dont know why or when this started but really there is no proof that super ped is a pach x scop at all, none whatsoever and as for super pedro being slow growing, well obviously the seller doesnt or has never grown super pedro lol. I have sent a very polite message via ebay to the seller of the items in question in this thread, hopefully he/she sees reason. Thanks for the heads up trip!!!

Here are a few examples. Could get lots more pictures from the farm with somewhat larger patches of discolouration on the cactuses like i mentioned but i think you get the idea. PC.

I see that on many of my plants. I believe it is caused by sucking insects as generally the patches of discolouration are slightly depressed in places, more often than not in the centre of the discolouration also a lot of the marks are circular. Ill get a few pictures next time i head out to the farm as some of it is in rather large patches on one plant in particular. I guess it could be unscrupulously sold off as variegated on ebay or the like if your so inclined lol Ill have a look through my photos and see if i can find any examples.

Yeh its pach x psycho0. Mrs R is a huge old pedro that is just down the road from me, i dunno if i showed ya when you were here. Originally Mrs R x bridgesii, it was one of the first crosses i did, if not THE first way back before Jono had even coined the name for the blue bridgie i was sendin every which where.

Get some spachianus. Is easy to get as they are everywhere and they are self fertile so you pretty much get fruit with every flowering. Fast grower and flowers readily.

I tried making jam with spach fruit but it didnt work very well at all, i prefer to just eat the fruits. Stack em in the fridge, they are nice as when they are really cold, best summer breakfast i can think of
