  1. True but she grows a hell of a lot faster than a cactus for example and ppl tend to use pot on a daily basis if they smoke it. If ppl used such things as sally on a daily basis im sure there would be a lot more of it around due to the demand and financial advantage gained by those selling it illegally. Basic supply and demand, its pretty obvious.

    possible peruv X?

They look very similar to seedlings myself and a couple others here have grown from seed labelled as T pachanoi. Gerbil has posted some excellent pictures of his plants. Similar to Icaro peruvi, they tend to grow into beautiful blue fatties.

    Tricot peruvianus seedling!

I have seen that quiet often in seedlings, nothing has ever come from them that i recall other than normal seedlings. Then again, usually with the amount of seedlings i have going at any given time i generally dont keep track of individuals but from the ratio of the amount of times ive seen it to the amount of mutations one gets from batches of trich seed it is safe to say it will turn out normal. Keep an eye on it though id love to be proved wrong thats for sure!

    neem vs scale

There does seem to be a few lil bits that do look like scale but that big white patch looks like a scar of some rot or sunburn that has healed over. The scale can be taken care of easily, just keep at it over a few weeks and it will be gone, easy. There is plenty of info here on how to get rid of scale.

    ancestors and forms theory

Yours looks to be of similar genes as yowie tripsis as does the ecuadorian one. MS smith has commented on this before regarding yowie, yowie being one of the imported clones from Sth Am at Fields.
  8. Bruce McAvaney special.
  9. If anyone wants to purchase some lophs at special "meet prices" lemme know so i can bring them down.

    killer kratom

Same andy. Even with high doses of supposedly excellent quality material i have never got anything close to an opi8 like effect. With a high dose i got massive stimulation, i could not sit still at all, was pacing and bouncing off the walls, not a pleasant experience at all considering i was after the opi8 effect which i was told should come about with a high dose. The only way i could get rid of the feeling was to have some REAL opi8s which was disappointing as the reason i was having it was to see if it could be used in place of as to reduce the WDs. I have never had it again and dont wish to

  15. I was recently given a large amount of phleb seed back from a person i gave it to in early 2010. It is from the 2009 harvest which is late in the year so is only just over 12 months old, very much still viable. I missed the 2010 seed drop so was happy to get this bag of seed back so i can pass them on to anyone out there that wishes to get some of these plants growing. I would prefer these seeds to go to people that are going to grow them and commit to looking after them long term, not people who want the seed for novelty sake or who plan on selling the seed. I will send out to the first 10 people to reply here and PM me their addy. If you dont PM me you wont get seeds, simple as that. Edit ; I will not send OS and im not up for answering Qs on growing these seeds, there is enough info on the forums how to do so, besides, if you put your hand up for seeds i assume you have a lil knowledge how to grow acacias or can spend some time researching for yourself!!!

    somatic mutation?

Perhaps the stock used was underdeveloped, etoliated, shade grown or some such. With better/different conditions the new growth that has come about shows more true to form of the original plant rather than the etoliated etc. That would seem the most likely explanation imo. easy.
  17. Dunno bout that fez, ill be bringin down some yellow bhut jolokia for ya to try. No stress though, it only burns for a lil while.

    why to bottom water lophophora?

I water mine from the top, well the bigger ones anyways. Some plants i have in shallow tubs for bottom watering but i do this as its easier for me as im a lazee git. I guess some ppl with different water quality may get what you would call a stain on the skin of the cactus, i sometimes do as it takes a little bit for the water to drain thru on some plants but it bothers me none and doesnt seem to stay there for long. Some ppl might just like their plants to look pristine i guess. Another reason would be a more even watering. The soil soaks up the moisture it needs and gets wet all the way thru whereas watering from the top can often leave patches of dry soil. Once or thrice a season i sit my bigger lophs in a tub of water for bottom watering just so i know they are soaked thru and i generally give them a feed at the same time.

    ancestors and forms theory

I know of a bridgesii that indeed shows "prostrate" growth, ill try and get some pictures next time im in the area. It does however seem to grow to a certain height then fall whereas i consider a true prostrate plant to be snake like and not reach any great height at all before "falling". Rosei #1 and 2 show no signs of being prostrate other than falling limbs here and there and i consider both to be forms of peruvianus. Hasnt it proved fruitless to try and identify any plant with the word REAL?

    PC/pachanot as heterozygous

Although i must say incog, it is fairly easy to distinguish the old clone of pach, the same old material from huge old mothers in all diff areas of Au. If these were genetically different then the attemps at pollination would have produced fruit no? I was positive at one point i had a different form from the usual clone due to its growth habits but i have tried at least 3 different times to cross the 2 "forms" (both ways) with no success which leads me to believe they are the same clone, an old clone that has made its way around Au in a big way. Fuck, there are huge ones, massive old things all over the place but i suppose you will just say that due to the fact i havent tried to cross them all i wouldnt have a clue right? Your shit stirrin me you dont know the clone in question.
