sure. Due to the amount of people interested in these spore products (for microscopic uses i assume ) i had to enlist the aid of a friend to get them all out. I received an email from one concerned individual who had letter that was sent opened and was contacted by 'the feds' who were attempting to gain information on where these spores were sent from - interested particularly in my friend's postal box. Suffice to say that it has been a busy day..

maybe the wavy cap should be called ps.subcyanescens (or maybe not...) maybe Ps.tripaloticus

I am interested to hear what different people think of the findings of Chang and Mills as well as Buchanan regarding most Australian wood-loving psilocybes being synonmous with Ps.Subaeruginosa and the rejection of their findings by Guzman, King and Bandala (1993), Stamets (PMOTW) and John Allen. Do Chang and Mills actually find mushrooms with pigmented brown Pleurocystidia??

Due to a recent email I have decided to stop trading these products indefinately. Apparently a recent package may have caused concerns with the powers that be. [This message has been edited by bluemeanie (edited 29 June 2002).]

by adding pieces of the substrate that the mushroom was originally found on and hope they will colonise

Cleland first described ps.Subaeruginosa as having a variety of forms, and a variety of cell-shaped Pluero cystidia. Guzman came out and rejected this, defining four types of psilocybe in Australia - Eucys, Aust., Tass, and Subs... Chang and Mills, also Buchanan rejected these findings by demonstrating synonymy between the spores of all four species (without Australiana) and other factors...

if its true, my liver is a bacteria farm

most psilocybes start with mustard yellow gills that develop into a brownish colour when they begin to sporulate - especially with aussie psilocybes that have very little in the way of a veil, the gills are exposed early on in the maturity and are often that colour.

Im fruiting some oysters (pink and normal) on wet cardboard and i cant believe the results! Shiitakes are doing very well on oak chips and rye blocks.

The wavy capped sub looks very similar to Ps.Cyanescens and i would have sworn it was, but in actuallity it has large spores and lageniform to ventricose p.cystidia = similar to Subaeruginosa. There is a pic of a wavy-cap making a garden glow on the shroomery (transplanted mycelia on pine radiata wood chips and ROSE! mulch of all things). Nice species experiencially as well - bluemeanies everywhere say they are much nicer than other aussie natives - less anxiety at higher levels. Id love some prints waterdragon! Youve made my day! Ill mail you

Id love to get those identified although i need a dried gill fragment to do so... Sound very interesting - judging by your location they could be one of Guzman's mushrooms Many psilocybes prefer disturbed environments such as landscaped gardens, etc. Bloody everywhere in melb - found one spot of the wavy-capped Subaeruginosa variant and we counted nearly 3000 fruits before we gave up!! Unbelievable - and right under heaps of people's noses too!! [This message has been edited by bluemeanie (edited 19 June 2002).]
