What did you do to your cacti today?

lol most of my internet buddys call me thunder, thunder horse or horsey :3 and £60 for the lot, the kids pleaded with me for us to keep them because lol , one had a berry on it and they would miss their new friends, so I caved in by the time they were trying to hand me their pocket money to cover the price.... the seller later admitted to the cheaper jourdi being sent as they had run out of stock of the 12.5cm ones and said they would reinburse me the difference in price for that one only - edit - and took ages about it - £8 it's not so much the pot size being used but that it's sneaky to use only the pot size and they need telling Dx! :D the awesome uk nurserys display plant diameter and have manners. mmmmm I bought 2 taquimbalensis-looking werdermannianus today from hungary, after seeing yours, I can't wait to spend years with these.

What did you do to your cacti today?

today in the cactus garden some overpriced undersized lophs arrived from some newcomer-bullshitting, over pompous and socially challenged cacti sellers in lancashire.... for the "safe for lttle fingers" section of the shortstuff crew which really pissed the kids off more than me, I am saddened that yet another uk nursery has cottoned on to taking away the plant diameter/height sizes and just leaving the unlabelled dreaded deadly "pot" sizes to rlly fk with newbies heads and thus incur more money ....and having overstated even the pot sizes, and judging by the abuse and the attitude I received when I asked for a refund and told them they would be mailed back ... I can tell this ones a tosser already , hooray for bank refund claims though - in case they don't play ball (I learned this the hard way before) yesterday a gorgeous French pachanoi came but since i have a few posts pending , i forgot if I told you as it takes a day for them to approve my posts at the moment and also the opuntia cuttings i took the day before that; I could'nt add later, after posting; with no edit post option findable and the lophs that made the sunniest most awesome day of the year, a 2 hour fuming session in writing to complain followed by 3 very disappointed kids by the time the afternoon school run was over , wishing we could keep them, after being referred to the seller by a cactus society here this one they sold to me as a 12.5cm jourdi this one they sold to me as an 8.5cm will' caespi this one they sold to me as an 8.5cm fricci this one they sold to me as a 6.5cm diffusa this one they sold to me as a 6.5cm turbinicarpus valdezianus, - and check out my daughter's deco patch pot :3 - and this they one sold to me as a 6.5cm Ariocarpus agavoides and incidentally told me that bigger ones don't exist.. , my first one from spain i got 2 months ago is a lot bigger (in the back ground) And if I'm not mistaken, I'm sure I read everywhere that at least lophs should be potted into a pot they only just fit.... I have another funky looking pach on the way too , I hope I get to post the pic tomorrow

Thank you and brightest blessings oooh I can't remember to be honest, that hintonii though http://www.aristocacti.co.uk/paz02.htm I bought it from a cool cacti nursery in uk; aristocacti, only a few months ago They are really cool.. especially to talk with... and price-wise compared to who else I found.. just not much selection that I seek I gather your in EU by mediterranean? if so they will ship I'm sure http://www.aristocacti.co.uk/ I must say, your cacti are awesome!!!!!!!!!! do you know where I can get any validus seeds from at all worldwide? or even EU plants/cuts/pups - with the exception of west/east seed farm tho' , I cant get any of theirs to germinate and it seems they may have same supplier as wss and in their description it says it's the clumping one with the red flower anyway I'm definitely after the white flowered ones

What did you do to your cacti today?

Hello all you good folk of Trichocerea! :3 I am new here and this is my first post but I'll try to paste in some images if I can figure out I've been browsing here for years accidentally finding it in searches so figured I should come join you Today in the cactus patch I pad-pruned the Opuntia ficus indicas I shall plant them in the ground outside soon ...Began the first waterings of the year for the cacti with this new-to me stuff from my favourite uk cacti nursery 5% maxicrop seaweed fertiliser in a litre of rain.... 10ml for each cactus from a fat 100ml syringe barrel that I used to use for delivering liquid carbon to the aquarium plants ....sat and watched them grow for a few hours to get through the midnight blues I finally got some Trichocereus validus genetics too later that ....what turned into... morning 4 little fat spikeys came labelled as Trichocereus validusXechiopsis and when I rang the nursery who grew them they had no clue whatsoever whether they were hybrids, or the slightest clue about anything to do with their naming at all except for: "that's what the seeds came labelled as" 2 look so much to me like the validus I've been hankering for for so long and since reading some of your guys validus threads, 2 of these look very valid to me for now and I want to think the other parent is obrepanda..the other two look more like hedgehogs Here are the two I think look most like validus (bearing in mind I've only seen about 3 pics on google but still a fair few here) And a better one Here are the hedgehogs so that should be fun getting to the bottom of with regards to what on earth they really are Also 1ml fed the short stuff crew in the tank .... ...checked to see what new had germinated and taquimbalensis was the newest and the rest, no sprouts from the cool tricho hybrids from usa yet but it's only been a few days and I ordered a pelecyphora valdezianus (Was Normanbokea) plant, and a lophophora jourdaniana, a friccii, and a diffusa to add to my williamsii collection. and ordered a load of BEF pots again (!) - hopefully this time I'll actually get to see one and some more seeds of : P' valdezianus, P' aselliformis, T' bolivianus, T' fulvilanus, T 'macrogonus, T' tacaquirensis, T' taquimbalensis and T' werdermannianus from germany I think that's all I did with my cacti today
