Yeah you're right. I've had flower buds abort when I've repotted, but they fell off after awhile. Since your scop's have been there for that many months they're probably just stalled.

My thoughts as well. Disturbance to the root ball will set back the flowering process. I'm guessing those flower buds were aborted if they've been chilling for that long.

Bumping again to see if any of you Aussies have had flowers and made a scop x scop cross yet this summer.

Sorry for the multiple posts, I'm on mobile atm
Here's a couple more pics of this plant from Malo that I just found on The Nook. When I first found that thread I misread and thought it was the plant in the foreground, but you can actually see it in the background of this first pic, and in the middle of the second (which appears to be an updated shot of the mother plant from my first post.- 7

It's really interesting and a bit worrying to hear that pachanoi is not so common in the wild any longer. I hadn't expected that the domestic rates of collection were all that high. I wonder how many different strains of the "home plants" there are in Lima (is it one or two clones or is there a ton of variety from wild collected plants?)
I'm guessing you've seen the photos of the cuttings when they arrived in the US, but here they are for those who haven't (taken from Trout's website):

Beautiful plant, love the shape of those notches. Good job on saving the cuttings

Those pics are from Solaritea's (aka Tricho Nest on fb) garden, I'm pretty sure.

Did any of you guys end up sowing and grafting any of the scop seeds that were sold from Sacred Succulents / Germany on Ebay (huachuma verified these were the same seeds)? I'm keen to see how they look!

Looks like Ben wrote the wrong collection number on my seed packet (BK14516.4), hence the confusion. Thanks for the photo huachuma, looks like a nice pachanoi!

Anyone started any of these seeds? SS offered them in their catalog last year I believe, and if I remember correctly they came from a garden in Lima (I'll upload the catalog description when I get home). Mine germinated well but are too small to say much about in regards to characteristics. Just thought I'd start a thread for people to post photos/discussion of their cacti as they grow!
