managed to acquire some sexy pups for my garden whilst i was at Dawsons and Gill in Victoria last weekend pics of the pups and the plants they have come from below i have my ideas what they may be but would like conformation as to what they defo are so i can tag them with confidence - cactus confidence plant 1 and pup(s) plant 2 and pup plant 3 and pup -
theres some older posts on here with pics of these plants, time for an update......... went for a visit to this wonderful garden in Vic with Godless John is a cool bloke, good for a chat, he made a point of referring to the garden as Dawson and Gill. He gave permission for these phone pics to be posted on here These are incredible plants, they have a real 'presence' They make a huge visual impact on the landscape and suburbia all the glaukus peruvianus have been cut back to nothing, a few pups on them the goats have chomped quite a few plants, none of the big ones have been eaten, thankfully seedlings that have germinated in the crevices defo worth a look if your in the area.

What did you do in your sacred garden today?
spooge replied to theuserformallyknownasd00d's topic in Ethnobotany
i've looked at this thread heaps and don't think I've posted in it so i thought i'd start to i work in my garden most days unless its raining heaps or stinking hot notice that the hops from Mushfun are growing again for spring, will put them in the ground next week spied a super phat bunch leaves on a greenhouse grown phlebophylla weeded and mulched part of this garden today, pine chips make good mulch and are cheap by the uteload, our fungal friends also like to colonise and fruit in the pine chips as they decompose still have to weed and mulch the other end of this garden where the nightshade and the lemon balm are said goodbye to the mandrake for another season, will have to either move the mandrake or the plants around it before the mandrake comes back next autumn or she'll be lost as the yarrow is becoming very invasive these nasty little plants are late bloomers here, won't be till after xmas they flower decided that this trellis is where these variegated solandra will grow up, will assemble a raised garden bed at the base of the trellis with treated pine sleepers, fill it with soil and plant the solandra -
Your garden and the work you have put into it are fantastic Nrivers, TOP job man!!
