  5. Thanks Berengar, can always rely on your good self to come up ID's yup, i haven't eaten any just incase, they look a bit nasty Cool K, i will check this book out, would you mind sending me a link to where you found this book please......... nope, mid april on a good year, the Omphalotus nidiformis and the Chlorophyllum brunneum were early this year and shrivelled to nothing in the warm weather a few days after starting this thread. Temps are lookn sexy round here, not long to go, what i go by now is a line that Obtuse wrote - rain has nothing to do with it, its the dew point that matters (not quoted, or verbatim) some yellow stainers popping up in the driveway.... Agaricus xanthodermus
  6. nice finds K you wanna wait for Berengar or Obtuse or Zen Peddler till then 1. agaricus 2. Psathyrella maybe
  7. Concurrens sounds right DB, thanks man oooo yes please Glauky, will pm you for a trade man
  8. Be nice if they were Glaukus have tried simplex here before, unfortunatly they were sent not very well packed by a 'no longer here' member and arrived all mushed up, tried to keep them alive but they died.....
  9. 4 and a bit months later........... phlebs obtusafolia confusa acuminata florabunda courtii lost the tag to these??? sexy very soon they will all go in the ground, am umming and erring bout the phlebs though i may position them, in their large pots on a steep bank that gets summer shade, the soil here is very clay, i figure they will shoot roots through the drainage holes in the pots into the soil below, this will keep the main body of the root ball in the perfect draining acacia mix and the plants can decide if the dirt on the embankment is suitable for them. don't want to risk their lives, will be heart breaking if they die due to poor drainage in the clay soil. summers here can be a bit hot as well hence the shaded position. these went in the ground during winter 2015 kinda like testers to ensure when i plant the ones in the pots in the ground that they will like the soil and do well they have not had any care and no summer watering - apart from the phlebs which are planted in a few buckets of blue metal for extra drainage as the soil here is clay these phlebs came from herbalistics, sent bare root with their heads cut off planted this maidenii 3 years ago as a tiny seedling these maidenii are from Communacacian and were planted as tube stock winter 2015 obtusafoilia - Communacacian acuminata - Communacacian florabunda tube stock from the b shop planted winter 2014 these grow all over the place, self seeding everywhere have more courtii and obtusafoilia on the way
  10. If you did choose to recycle contam grain jars you wouldn't open the jars, you'd inject a bit of water into the fae holes or filter disc to rehydrate the grain, cover the tops with foil n then pressure cook them again, bit longer than normal to make sure all the contam and anything else is all dead, it will stink far worse than normal. If you wait till the contam has spread throughout the jar then you got bucklies, if you recook when you first notice the contam you may have a chance. Grain isn't that expensive, even organic rye etc so why you'd bother I dunno, availability maybe or urgency.
