  1. Hi, Don't know if the timing will work out but I have a super pedro type plant and echinopsis calochlora with flower buds atm, if they flower before yours does than I will send some pollen if you like?

    I think the calochlora could make an interesting and somewhat unique cross ?

    How many flower buds do you have ? might be able to make multiple crosses

  2. Hi, I am looking to lighten the load a little and thought I would see if anyone is interested in buying some seedlings I have left over.

    There is quite a few and I am wanting to sell them all as one bulk pack and will donate 10 % to the SAB server costs, I am not sure what it is all worth so I am thinking I will sell as an auction (Australia only),  I think $70 p&h included is a fair starting price. I will close the auction at 7:30 pm 31/10 so 7 days.

    Auction is for all the cacti in the two tubs shown in pic, and includes * T. bridgesii OP

                                                                                                                * Dawson Bridgesii OP

                                                                                                                * Psycho OP

                                                                                                                * T. werdermannianus OP

                                                                                                                * Secret Garden OP mix

    Cheers : )

    I actually tried a few different cereus fruit from different plants on the weekend and was amazed at how good it was and the variation in taste.

    I am wanting to get  different types that are supposed to be good tasting, they are basically super hardy fruit trees, I am going to get cutting or seeds of cereus validus forbesii someday cause I have heard they are quite nice and sweet, also heard good things about Neobuxbaumia euphorbiodes and keen on getting some of them going some time in the near future.

    I wonder why cacti fruits are not a bigger thing, surely there is great potential for commercial growing, cactus fruit farm, low care and needs but good return ? create cacti forests in the arid areas and help feed the people ?

    Heh - I looked around at them all over the weekend and wondered "what have I done?"

    At least they are hardy plants and can survive a couple of weeks without water, unlike tomatoes etc which I gave up so I can vacation with impunity.

    Lol, there is a fine line between hobby and obsession.

    I have decided to mainly focus on growing hardy things cause things can quickly get out of hand especially during a persistent heat wave, it can be a burden growing things that don't go well in the climate, a burden that made me revaluate what i do or do not choose to grow, for example i have largely opted out off psychotria plants for acacias, going to go for more candle nut trees and not macadamia etc

    It can be exhausting trying to keep picky plants alive that don't mesh with the climate, only very special plants get my primo out of climate care services these days.

  5. The dirt bike for me is for one to love others more than them selves which would mean we would all live in a world were everyone loves you more than them selves, that's my vision, I would love to feel that and I couldn't imagine all this horrible crap happening in that world, everyone would already have what they really want I believe, which is a feeling of love which would give a feeling of security etc.

    Leave it all behind - become actors

    Who is writing and directing the script ?

    What has happened till now one can see the timeline continue and as far as I can see it gets ugly as long as we play the part in the script, we can get in more on the script writing part to create a future or present that is nicer to open than the last one, we getting socks atm but we want a dirt bike or pony : )

  7. pisses into water : )

    Imagine that, imagine after a 1000 years and trying to explain your knowledge to a mortal who lives max 125 years, would you view them the same as now ? would you care about them? or would they just become pieces to play in a made up game to help pass the time ?

    I would imagine they, the mortals would be irritating with there finite experience and knowledge tho useful tools to help build my synthetic and more eco friendly work force : )

  8. great looking cuts and awesome genetics there : ) just keep an eye on them cause it would be a dam shame to loose them to bacteria/rot, when it is not a nice calloused heal there is potential for infection but that's just me maybe being a little cautious or paranoid. Anyhow let us know how things progress : )

  9. That is a beautiful looking cut, i would prob cut it back, prob cut it about 10cm and if the 10cm piece looks good plant it for more plants?

    It doesnt look to bad but maybe it is worth loosing a little to help insure the cuts health? if not i would keep a close eye on it just incase.
