Here is a link to a list of allowable and restricted mushroom species culture imports into Australia. Very annoying as Maitake and Lions Mane seems to be restricted

Thanks mate, I'm really looking forward to seeing it flower and bear seed. Will do some posts including photos as this progresses.
cheers

Thanks mate, yes I hope to get a heap of Tassie climatised viable seeds, that way I can get more trees out to the community as it is a rare tree. Be nice to start of a mini plantation one day Not sure what the life span would be but you'd hope they could naturally reproduce themselves without having to propagate more seedlings. They are hard to get going from my experience with seeds I've got from this forum previously. Definitely going to be an interesting experiment
Take care bro,

Hi Dood, yes your small seedling really loves our cool climate. It only exhibited a little transplant shock when I transferred her to a large pot. I was worried because some people said that they usually die after that. Anyway shes in a good native soil mix with coarse river sand and crushed red granite I got from a tombstone cutting business. Gave me a big bag for free.
Anyway when you say it takes 12 months to mature do you mean the pods hang on the tree that long before opening?
Do they self pollinate?
cheers

Just a question, I have a really healthy plebophylla growing in Tassie about three years old it's about 2.5 metres tall now and has a flower stem forming, see photo.
My question is will the seeds once flowering is complete form and be viable if I only have the one tree. Can they self pollinate?
cheers and peace to all

Nice work sulik. Good to see you back too, was wondering where ya got to.

Hi Sally, yes it is in a small pot, but loving the medium.
Its touching the top of my greenhouse so I got to plant it out. I'm looking after my mum so don't really want to plant it here. I think I have a great spot ata mates place who lives in a snowline during winter. Might like it there. Mmmm this is a good idea. Thanks for prompting my my brain cells into action

^ nice
Is that still in a pot ?
Some people have found they kick the bucket if kept in a pot long term - around 4-5 years. I'd be scoping a place to plant it out soon if it is still in a pot.

Here's my Pleb growing in my greenhouse. It has tripled in size in the past year since repotting. I got the plant from a member here so I can't take any credit for raising it from seed.
I have some seeds so I think I will give them a go. Will take bacteria from this healthy plant pot soil and innoculate seeds once they have been hot water treated. Will post results and hopefully will help solve the mystery of growing these sacred trees. Peace to all

None of this RIP stuff, I hope Sasha is already eagerly mixing chemicals in the next dimension, preparing to expand conciousness to the next level.
However it will be tough times for Anne and their close friends. My condolences.

I ordered a pack of Loph seeds from Netherlands and they got seized, crazy considering they take so long to grow and are an endangered species.
I wanted to grow them so that I good give away this sacred cactus as gifts to friends in nicely presented ceramic pots. They are a wonderful looking plant especially when flowering and as a bonus have no spines

I've got plenty of very viable Acuminata seeds, both narrow leaf and small leaf varieties.
PM me if you want some.

Just some heads up about Cactus Plaza, I ordered 1000 Peyote seeds, and customs sent me a letter saying that Lophophora species are a prohibited import, and seeds has been destroyed. Man cost me something like $100 down the drain. Must be either unlucky or they closely check mail from the Netherlands. Will be interested to here whether Brendo's seed arrives.

I got a heap of freshly harvested Tuscan Kale seeds and Brussels Sprouts. Kale is very healthy, let me know if you want some seed. I must have about 50,000 seeds at a guess :

Hi all,
For health reasons I am wanting to grow some Reishi on some logs. Heard that it is a great immune system regulator.
if anyone has some spores they can share it would be greatly appreciated. All I can trade at the moment is some Shiitake 3782 wedges.
