Awesome, thanks joxxy. That is what i was planning, the hard part seemingly is that the head's cut is tucked under, if you know what i mean. Should i cut the loph straight across, or try to scoop out ? not sure if that makes sense, still trying to get the computer to recognise my phone so i can show yuz the pix! dang

Okay so how does it work? ethanol is a liquid at room temperature. is it bound with some sort of moisture crystal? I just wish they sold 95% at the bottle shop external use only.

Okay all, time for another update. I successfully grafted the scion onto a new stock, and it took well. I used the pantyhose-stretched-over technique. However! I attempted to remove the dressing too soon, and in my clumsiness, the stocking pulled the head off !! I tried sticking it back on, but today I saw that it has not connected. In between, on the wounds of both the stem and the head, is a red discolouration. I am off to get pictures, this time i will upload them. I have pics of the first one that worked, and i am about to photograph the current situation. I hope there is a way for me to save it again. Yes, I am bad at cacti . All advice welcomed. edit: does anyone know how to get eyephone photos up?? god dammit..

hey singult and friends macadamias grow quite well in Melbourne; a few parks have a good one (i can tell you which one i go to if you promise not to eat em all!). okay all so what has happened is: I removed the whole head, pups n all. The stock was completely rotten, beyond repair i am sure. I grafted 2/4 pups onto a bridgey (thanks cat ) and the big head with two remaining pups was stuck onto a PC pach. I held them down with old pantyhose (thanks mum) and some hair ties i no longer need since i got Sean the other day. I will take pics now and try to figure out how to get them online, i'm sorry all but my new phone is very tricky to use (i haven't learnt how to upload pictures yet). Thankyou all for your advice and as usual, more importantly, your patience. I am a doctor with none. Will keep posted!

Hi all, I am having a very similar problem ATM; i was careless and let a trich/lop get a bit rotten (the trich is the bad part, doesnt appear to have spread). I am assuming i have to cut the head off ASAP, and i plan to stick it straight onto some healthy trichs in pots. I have never grafted before, do i just remove the scion at the join and whack it straight onto the new stock? I am very much at a loss here, any advice humbly and graciously accepted

Hey Sally, i eat this garbage far too often (almost always because it's late and nothing else is open, but it's still atrocious ), so i am concerned by those nasty sounding things (that i admit i've not heard of) ! What are they and why do you think mcdonald's has them in? Thunder: this is entirely true. Most people out in the street can't even figure out their can/bottle goes in the recycling bin, even though it's right in front of their face in both writing and pictures. I have even seen people stare at the bins for a long time, trying to figure it out, only to still get it wrong. It's fucking pathetic. My point is that it's the corporation's responsibility to train the staff how not to be so retarded, and do the sorting themselves. As you say, most maccas customers don't even go to the bin themselves, they just leave their shit for the staff to clean up. It would be easier if they just abolished bins and cut out the middle man. And, as i mentioned, this already happens in Sweden. I mean, they are a bit ahead considering their extensive use of geothermal power and ethanol/vegetable oil based automotive fuels, but we have to catch up sooner or later. PSA: if you are unsure about recycling, it's easy. Paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal, ALL go in the recycling bin. Just make sure they're empty (some councils actually want you to clean them but this is becoming increasingly rare). And don't put plastic bags in there. It's that easy. If you're unsure about something, just put it in the recyc., because as long as it's clean and non-hazardous, this can't hurt. What CAN hurt is putting it in the garbage when it might actually be recyclable. It's better to be safe than sorry! Oh and never put your coke bottle bong in there! The hose ruins the other plastics. Just take that shit out, yo! It also stops it being so obviously incriminating. Goodnight.

How Responsible is the Drug User for the Actions of the Drug Dealer?

I think that you can stop someone from acquiring drugs if you think they might "do damage" with them (or do 'harm'), but ultimately it isn't your fault what a person does with a substance of their own volition. The only exceptions of course are people too stupid or young or mentally infirm to know what they are doing (note this might include people heavily inebriated). But really unless the user declares they will kill themselves or someone else with the substance, or use it to commit rape or burglary or whatever the fuck, then it's really a 'buyer beware' style scenario right now (under a prohibitive framework).

Don't forget, methadone is harder to withdraw from than heroin! My favourite part is about how Don't you think the rich and famous are the ones with the highest ability to try? Here we have a fellow with boundless money (assumedly), a fair bit of free time, and the invulnerability to police action that famous people seem to carry, even when their (particularly drug-related) crimes are very public. Compare this with your stereotypical street junkie; no money, no time, targeted by police. So, by the reasoning of the Haters, Mr Hoffman had all the opportunity in the world to relinquish his addiction. Guess what?? It didn't work! So obviously addiction isn't cured by simply "trying harder". Don't you think if he is a world famous actor he would have tried his best? Some people are incapable of logic. How absurd, obviously the cop is going to HAVE reasonable suspicion in order to make the driver wait around for the machine, so why not just put that in the legislation? Subaeruginosin, your post implies that vicpol can search you just by pulling you over. I'm pretty sure they still need reasonable suspicion to search; if the half hour rule applies it must be after this or for other stuff like vehicle roadworthy, licence check etc. As for not having your licence when driving: that's just an 80 dollar fine, onthespot, no waiting for the police.! Soon every house will have a cop at the door who makes you stand there for half an hour for trying to leave the house, to ensure you are fit for society. Upon returning you must present the cop with the deed/tenancy agreement, your ID and a blood and hair sample. These will take about 2 hours to process. Nice, bigred, i had no idea there were (any) such progressive policies in QLD. Do you still get fined there for being too poor? Re: pens; give them to the kids with peanut allergies (with adrenaline in them instead of course), so other kids don't have to have their school lunch boxes scrutinised as if by the TSA. People need to be able to handle their own shit, and not pile it on others to deal with. If your kid is allergic to peanuts it's up to you to either keep them indoors their entire life or (better) teach them to survive an encounter with their allergen (asthmatic kids can do it). Just because your child's reactions to normal food products are out of your control doesn't mean you have the right to attempt to control others. Besides, you can never ban peanuts in public, so why train your child to not have to worry when this isn't how real life is going to work? just like same sex schools... Similarly, why are snake bite antivenoms scheduled so highly? why not just give them to isolated farmers and other at-risk individuals? It's not like they have abuse potential. Again, control of the plight of the individual should rest in their own hands. /rant
