I would hope that people haven't already poached this species , we don't even know the full extent of it's population yet. As a collector I'm happy , but I wouldn't have minded waiting five years before they released the discovery to the public, if it meant keeping the species from vanishing from the fucking earth.
I will do my best to get the seeds into circulation locally if I manage to get my hands on some , if it even matters at this point.

Yeah , they are trying to keep a cap on the location , but they are also trying hard to get seeds out to collectors and vendors in order to discourage poaching . I have seen seeds going on a few auction sites already .

Thanks Dreamwalker , they aren't that uncommon where I am , but I would kill the have an abundance of oz clones make their way to the states.
The grass is always greener I suppose.

I baped a big PC pach a few weeks ago and it is just now starting to pup . I did it pretty high up the cactus so it has the "branching" look instead of growing pups from the base .
I shall call it a San guaro.
I will post pics eventually if it is a success

Those look a lot like the tree opuntias of the Galapagos .
Maybe O. Echios or O.galapagia.
An amazing cactus but they are hard to get your hands on .
The last two i have seen on ebay went for 70 + for a 9cm pad.
Well worth it once they hit a growth spurt .

I may be wrong , but I thought I read something about cereus and trichocereus being crossed , possibly.
I know there's a scopulicola and echinopsis subdenudata hybrid or two .
There's also a few pediocactus and echinocereus hybrids.
I would also like a nice list , the internet hasn't really come through for me on This subject either.
