    North America Buy/Sell/Trade Thread

Some plants I'm wanting to trade ATM. I should have a lot of uncommon trichs for trade in a few months as well. Several echinocereus , opuntia , stenocactus , Euphorbia and some other random plants. There is a bridgesii and echinocactus texensis in there too.

    North America Buy/Sell/Trade Thread

I'll jump in on this thread . I don't have much of a rep here but I do have one on the Shroomery and I could maybe get a few memebers on here to vouch for me if need be , as I have traded with some on other forums/sites. If I think you are trust worthy I can send my end first , I prefer to do small trades first anyway. I have a few cutting right now I can let go , some might need a few more days to dry and some sulfur powder . The first 4 are non pc pachanoi. From left to right The first one is a non pc from greece. I would have to cut it because I want a rooted log for myself , the second is a juuls giant cutting , the third is a non pc that was labeled juuls but I don't think it is , the 4th is a non pc that was labeled kk339 I also have these A monstrose pachanoi , a peru x bridgesii , then next on top is a baker 5452 clone , under it is a bridgesii I got in Austin and then the big bridgesii next to it is also up for grabs , but I kind of want a cut from it too. I have a monstrose pachanoi x peruvianus I can take a cutting of as well as a cutting I got as scopulicola , but I think it's more fitting to call it something like cordobensis/super pedro. I will have more cuttings near the end of the summer. I might be willing to trade some of my more obscure species like uyupampensis etc if anyone is interested . Mostly small middle cuttings and some alba and viridis leaves I can trade..

I'll take an overseas pack if one is still available .
  8. Oh lord that irks me.We should find the worst or least liked species of trichocereus and all pass them around as trichocereus cv Verne .

Trichocereus, Ariocarpus, and aztekium oh my!

Hey Billy nice to see you finally joined the forums . Definitely a great forum.
  10. Zircon also hates trout , because his book shows exactly how much of a lying twat he(zircon) is. He knows exactly what he's doing . What's worse is that his ebay rep is 100 , meaning a shit ton of people are falling for that shit. As several people above pointed out , he's a major hypocrite. And pretending your animals are saying unfunny things isn't cute . For awhile he was selling fat pc clones as "trichocereus peruvianus var juuls Giant" I think he has since changed it because he got a lot of shit for it. Wss, bbb and many other vendors sell cuzco as peruvianus. Idk if it's because they don't know or just can't ID .

What did you do to your cacti today?

Put up some shade cloth and noticed some flowers , a pup on my O. Echios and a pach that is possibly beginning to crest (?)

    2 Trichocereus ID

Hmmm ok thanks . Either way it's a beauty and I'm keeping it haha. That tarmaensis looks similar to my first "tarmaensis" but mine also had a few differences , I'll see when it pups again. Yours is much better on the eyes than mine , that's for sure.

    2 Trichocereus ID

What are these guys , I can't ID anything with confidence anymore , due to all the confusion with pach macrogonus and peruvianus . I feel like I know nothing about trichs anymore. Not to mention the rampant crossing in cultivation. Can you help a guy out the little one was sold as some sort of pach x peru or vice versa . The other was unlabeled but I think it looks awesome , maybe a peruvinoid ? Maybe ? Edit: I know I posted in the wrong section , thought I was in the ID section , I'm on mobile and it's easy to mess up , I apologize.

Awesome , thanks EG. I recently cut it up and traded a few pieces , now I wish I would have waited , thanks for the help. I will post some pup pics if the log puts on some growth this spring / summer .

    2 Trichocereus ID

It was labeled tarmaensis by an auction site seller, as you know , they can never lie It doesn't really look like my new cutting or your pic . Here are some pics , I apologize for the quality , they are old. I can get clear pics but they are just stumps now

    2 Trichocereus ID

Thanks for the replies . So how stable are the spine characteristics T. Tarmaensis , because I bought a peruvianus var tarmaensis a while back that looked nothing like this , I'm guessing it was mislabeled?
  17. Awesome thanks mutant. I got it from a commercial nursery and I assume they did the same thing , and that's why it's labeled werdermannianus still.
  18. Ok , so the cactus that i originally bought as werdermannianus should really be a terscheckii or taquimbalensis ? To me , a novice, the cactus that I have looks a lot like the taquimbalensis var wilka posted above. Did I buy a cactus mislabeled Werdermannianus instead of taquimbalensis? The more you learn the less you know right? It seems like it won't be long before every columnar cactus is considered one species , again.

Wow! That's a massive plant , good lookin too!

    So... *faceplant* I screwed up.

Thanks , I think I'm beginning to understand the basic concept , but there are so many little details I have to work out . Maybe the more solid dingleberries could be used as like a top layered slow release dressing ? This has been very helpful.

How do you stop seedlings dying from fungus?

I use this stuff called captan and spray my seedlings with it every few weeks to a month until about a year old . It's also good to clean the soil (bake it or sterilize it). Letting them get some air by taking of the humidity cover a few minutes every few days isn't a bad idea either
