I have been experimenting crossing and epi with a Cleistocactus via the cement method (they were the only 2 in flower) both seem to be setting fruit, I also self crossed them..............the epi rejected this self cross but accepted the Cleistocactus x..........the Cleistocactus accepted either.............still early days...but I came across this post on http://www.bcss.org.uk/foruma/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=160588 "There was an article in the NCSS journal in 1948 suggesting that 'wide crosses' were a sure way to get plants to 'self' if I remember right Gymnocalycium was one of the most popular genera to use."

really nice looking plants Ceres.....................I think I got some of those, but mine have a little flicker of yellow, here and there (hopefully in a good way)........but nope............and no guessing......

So Waterboy................do you research core samples?.............is it more of an interest you follow? my vote would be cereus too...................though I'm a bit confused about the lack of spines......................either way a beautiful cactus..............dust the cut end with some flower of sulfur and plant in a river sand gritty potting mix.....water rarely .................or set it aside for a month and plant it.................cereus have kiwi like fruit.................

yeah reality........its not so pretty up close...........but hey its their/them/the norms/the suits/---- ----world/reality............it does not have to be yours.........why play their game to their rules........they break them all the time as a matter of course..........maybe play by your rules..............when you wake in the morning maybe think about "what do I want?"........what will make me feel good?..........what do I want to do with this day?...and hey if its not going to hurt anybody....just do it.........go to the beach and play.....take a walk in nature.........play vid games......what ever!...........forget about others rightous judgement...........this is your life..........each moment can be a blessing or a walk in hell........hell's ok if you like that sort of thing.........theaputic to wollow in pits of dispair-just for a while..........can be grounding and lead to a positive path and insight....but hey be selfish..........this is your life ..your time..don't let the fuckers screw it up for you................

But how do you know the right balance?...................I guess to much chelation could deplete your body of certain micro-nutrients..........and theres so many different things your want to remove..................take 'A' to remove the fire retardent.......'B' to remove the teflon............(which aparently we all have)....................and an endless list....not to mention evil GE's..................the best I think you can do is fine a little corner somewhere......as far away as you can from the high concentration zones (cities, industry)..............and grow you own.........................
