What did you do in your sacred garden today?
upside replied to theuserformallyknownasd00d's topic in Ethnobotany
^^^ Thanks for all the info,, I'll definitely take it all on board and not be as clinical with the next lot,, I only started this lot under lights as I'm way down south and it's only starting to warm up here in the last month or two. @ micromegas, should I keep the lid on them while germinating, or leave it off so there is no humidity in there? I germed the last lot under humidity,, perhaps for the maidens wattle as they're a more humid climate wattle? I'll do the near boiling soak again, didn't need to scar or nick the seeds as before germ rate was really good, just survival rates dropped. I've shown their progress in the acuminata seed swelling thread. thanks again :-) ps,, I wouldn't get anywhere this info from bunnings lol Long live SAB -

Hi Gtarman, I have 3 that are now open and hardened off to open air and the other 3 almost there. From the artificial lights to filtered sunlight is my next move. I'm feeling confident lol the loss of the others I'm sure was a humid/too much water thing,, but these guys came out of the same container. So I'm quite happy as to where they are. The phylodes are healthy and getting longer. -
I thought this was a graft when I spotted it yesterday,, too much fertilizer freaked this Euphorbia out into growing a big head..

I picked up another dozen a.acuminata standard type from Bunnings, second time they've received a tubestock tray full. Also been keeping an eye on my P.Carthaganensis seedlings. My first attempt and seedlings going well, very slow but stable. this one's seed pod is taking an awful long time to come off. My a.acuminata narrow phylode variety I grew from seed. From ~30 I have half a dozen left,, they're strong survivors tho, looking quite fit n healthy. -
I have crest envy so much haha they're all fantastic! If anyone would like to empower me to join the club I'd love to purchase my first :-) Anyway,, here's a cupl of my spunky freaks

Not sure what this one is,, Cheers Mutant,, it's a Stenocereus Pruinosus And this lonely Beauty from a local cactus and succulent nursery Absolutely stoked with this find! the lady there is a gem,, it had $12.50 marked on it, gave it to me for $8!!! Thankyou so much cactus lady. Not certain, but guessing a Bridgesii penis? How's the egg shaped scrotum! lol :-)

Hey Distracted Be safe. But just a dash of hydrochloric acid into your ink (apologies,, that info I left out), pulled straight outta ya car battery if u like. Make sure your marker doesn't leak....
-
Haha nice one Seldom,, how about a dash of hydrochloric acid in your marker,, it will eat into glass ;)

Man, this thread shows how diverse our community can be. Fantastic! I write Hock,, from a past of hocking my shit to get by when I was younger. Havnt hocked anything for years now,, but the name still sticks as a reminder. I write Upside now and then, but write it upside down lol Check out my gallery for a couple of my pieces. I'll have a crack at Nerk this weekend, work has me pretty tired lately.I don't get much time to paint for myself these days. Cheers The term throwie is used all over the world. As is most Graff terms, whatever nationality you come from like skateboarding, it's fucking awesome haha

With so much negative focus these days from a lot of people,, I try my best to look at things on the upside :-)

Typically it's a quick, loose, elaborate, or simple bubble styled type of lettering. For getting up quick! ;) is that example one of your throwies NTS?

I was watching some cop show the other night from NZ. what caught my attention was the fact they were out on patrol one night and through a slip of the tongue,, the voice over explaining what they were doing said how they were out looking for trouble. I understand he meant trouble making civilians,, but I thought how ironic! lol

upside replied to gtarman's topic in Chill Space
Me either,, but your introduction has left me curious. I'm gonna get it :-) ive read how when he was playing around with formulas and finished up for the day,, on his ride home on a bicycle, he started tripping balls quite hard due to the lsd being absorbed into his fingertips. Been looking for another book to read, cheers. -
(shaking head in disappointment) classic, the fear surrounding people making music,, must be the morse code beats they can't grasp, directing the rebels into resistance.... ;p
