it's just bending/collapsing a bit, it isn't actually squishy. if it's dehydrated, should i water it? it does actually have roots already. i was under the impression that cacti don't like being watered after they've been re-potted. the soil is dry, i actually went out of my way to dry it because i thought there was too much moisture.

welp, coincidentally my girlfriend just broke up with me also. been a long time coming though, we've been drifting apart for a while. i'm going to go and get drunk with some mates, come home and cry myself to sleep, and then move on. i'm actually quite happy to have written my previous post to help you out so recently, because now i'm reading my own advice and it's helping me cope immensely. time for a new season to begin~

Don't cling to the past. Before, you were growing on your own, and it was good. Then you started a relationship, you shared some love and experiences together; love bloomed like a beautiful flower, and it was good. Now that time has ended; the season is over, the flower has died back... and it is good, because you know that you will continue to grow without it, and one day, the flower will bloom again even more beautifully. Grieve, and then move on, grateful that the whole experience and rollercoaster ride of emotions, to learn from and help you grow, has happened.

I keep seeing little clusters of these all over grassy nature strips and in public parks in VIC, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what they are? I'm curious as they seem to be quite common. Feel free to give me pointers on taking pictures to help with IDs, I'm not quite up to scratch with this yet.

I tried potting this guy a while ago but as soon as he was in the ground he started to "melt". I guessed the soil (commercial cacti/succulent mix) was too moist, so I took it out and dried out the soil for a while. Potted it again yesterday, and the same shit is happening I haven't watered it, and the soil is pretty much bone dry. Not sure what to do now

okay, I'll give bicarb soda a try. I don't really have any extra ingredients to work with (eg. mustard) so I'm gonna have to keep it simple. haha, oh, wow. I wish I had seen that when I was ordering these.

Hey, I think I got mine today, but the seeds are unlabelled so I'm not 100%. Can I get you to confirm that they were packaged in a gram-sized baggie, inside a bubble wrap bag, inside a white envelope? They look right, but I figure I should double check just in case. Cheers man!

Well, I haven't been weighing it out or anything. I've just been throwing in a handful each batch basically. I don't really know how much I'm meant to be using, because various sources recommended vastly different amounts (ie. from 1g all the way up to 20g or something crazy)

Oh - I hadn't even though of that. I've been having mine with a variety of sleeping herbs (including valerian), and haven't had any experience from it at all. It has done wonders to get me to sleep easily instead of rolling around for hours, but that's not what we're going for here. Thelema, I haven't heard much about that one. Do you know of a vendor that sells it in Australia?
