Wow, that is some nasty looking shit. Somehow, I has always imagined the RC labs in China being big fuck-off factories that were professional and clean. Now that may show the worst of the worst, but it may also be the norm.
Good article, thanks for posting it.
i think the pictures look fine, if you want to see skanky, dirty 'labs' look for images of american kitchen meth cooks

Here are a couple more pics of yesterdays finds, im interested to know if there is any difference between the gold tops and the caramel tops? Also ive found there are ones that are gold topped but bell shaped, then there are gold tops with wavy tops, then there are dark caramel tops that can be either awell.. are these different strains or just older more mature ones? Ive found tiny gold tops though....
Also, another patch I know they always grow hasnt pinned yet so... unless the conditions are right for the patch they wont come up.
subs are hygrophanous meaning the caps will change colour as they dry out. fresher mushrooms in wetter locations will usually have darker coloured caps. there is a huge amount of variation in the shape of subs in melbourne, someone who keeps more up to date with taxonomy might have more to say on the matter

haha i dont think 10 degrees is necessary, maybe 4-5 degrees, or a couple thousand feet in altitude!
it certainly couldn't hurt though. nights are still pretty warm, up around 16 degrees in my area

starting tuesday for melbourners, ITZ GON RAIN!
now all we need is for the overnight lows to drop about 10 degrees and it should get things moving

can't wait to pick some of these again. i love them sauteed with butter, garlic and parsley on toast or cooked in a cream sauce with pasta (sautee onion garlic and mushrooms, add stock white wine and cream and some herbs)

will have to have a look and check to see if i still have the CD's for all of them. they are perfect for beginners. would prefer a trade for them but happy to sell also, im not after anything in particular so if you're interested make me an offer.

Not exactly a new member but it's been quite a while since I've been around here so thought it appropriate to say hi again. Good to see some familiar names still around. I'll be largely lurking until the Uni year is done and I can devote some time to my neglected garden and other projects
