what king of lights are they? they arent HPS or MH if their 200W. halogen? (hooot) the light may be too close to the cacti and may burn them. also will want an extractor fan to draw out the heat or the box will reach 60 degrees +. unless they are fluoro's [ 26. you have a 400w hps and cacti growing in your kitchen? ? lol btw anyone else growing cacti under lights? anyone else growing cacti hydroponically? what set up do you use?

another thing affecting excretion of drugs is urine pH. (pH partition theory for anyone interesteed in looking it up.) for organic bases like amphetamines the half life in the body can be increased from about 10 hours to about 30 hours by increasing the pH of urine. ie it excreted at a third the usual rate. THc metabolites are organic acids. increasing the pH of urine increases the excretion. taking 'ural' or 'citravescent'(green and yellow boxes respectively) which are urinary alkalisers available from pharmacies for treatment of symptoms of urinary tract infections, will increase the concentration of thc metabolites in your urine. taking this as directed with LOTS of water for a week or two untill your test will increase the excretion of thc metabolites. though cease taking ural etc 12 hours before the test!!!! you would be better with an acidic urine when you test. keep drinking plenty of water but take vitamin b and c about 6 hours before the test. say a berocca and a vitamin c tablet. this both adds colour to your dilute piss and will lower the pH so less thc metabolites stay in your urine. as previously said dont use your first piss of the day. drink plenty of water, the more dilute your uring the better chance you have. though if its too dilute they may asc for a retest. if anything a retest would give you more time. nb. do not use ural etc for a prolonged time without medical advice, esp if you have any heart conditions. nb. abstainence is the best policy

roughly how long will it take? they were left to callus for 3 weeks. 2 of wich they spent in the dark. also how deep should i have planted the horizontal ones? any experience here? thanks

my understanding of callus is letting the cut surface dry, harden, and heal before planting (correct me if im wrong) ok, its been 2 and a half weeks. might give them a couple more days. i plan to plant a couple horizontally. has anyone had experience with this? (trichs btw) any suggestions on how deep i actually plant them? id assume it would be between a quater and half the diameter deep but that is a total guess.

just thought it keep you updated rev. ive cut the one on the right. it is now 2 8 cm stumps. i have 3 pieces waiting to callus. 2 18cm lenghts i will try to plant horizontally and 1 26cm lenght ill plant vertically. fingers crossed (it will be my first attempt) btw the one on the left is just starting to put out a new pup.

ok, ive dug up the front one trying my best not to disturb the others and replanted it best i could. ill leave the pot in a shady dry area for a week or so for it to heal and establish itself? correct? the one on the right i could get 2 15cm lenghts from the pup and 2 15-20cm lenghts from the main bit leaving 5-10 cm above the ground. whats the minimum lenght i could leave above the ground for it to safely regrow? the back one and the one on the left are well established and doing well so ill leave them. though i keep wondering if i should take the top branch off the one on the left and plant it. ? also what conditions do i leave the 4 segments in to calous? light?dark?temp?humidity? thanks also what do you think of the general health of the cacti from the pic? the tips are a healthy green but a section below that is a little yellow, then green again towards the base. this also gets worse in summer. is this a sign that there underfed? thanks SirLSD [This message has been edited by SirLSD (edited 16 October 2002).]

has anyone ever got seeds from this aussie sute? my guess is no. therefore id recommend either seeds-direct.to hempqc.com or emeryseeds.com gypsy at seeds-direct is very good. heavens stairway @ hempqc.com may have slightle better prices and is my reccomendation. emery charges way to much for his seeds. though all 3 deliver.

saw an extract from "peyote and other entheogenic cacti" by adam gottlieb about chemical doping of peyotes and trichs with dopamine or other precursers of mescaline via injection and it has got me interested. has anyone ever tried it? has anyone got any links to more info? has anyone got any links or know where to look for info on cellular biochemistry of cacti (esp trichs)? thought it was an interesting theory and want to learn more.
