Are you in search for a specific Acacia? Acacias are very common in most our parks and forest, hard not to see one when going for a walk.

Phaleria clerodendron Propagation and advice
Justin Credible replied to Justin Credible's topic in Australian Native Plants
Cheers HD, I acquired the fruits from a tree at tafe and there is only 1 tree present that I am aware. Maybe its a location thing. Another student successfully propagated it last semester but have lost contact with him. I planted some out, so time will tell. Next year I can send you some fresh flowers if you would like to play cupid.- 2 replies

Phaleria clerodendron Propagation and advice
Justin Credible posted a topic in Australian Native Plants
I recently acquired some FRESH Phaleria clerodendron fruit, while removing the seeds from the fruit I noticed the seeds are pretty much hollow/empty. Is this normal for them or possibly not viable? I have also read that the all parts of the plant are poisonous. Anyone know how poisonous? Should I be wearing gloves while handling the fleshy fruit? Also any tips or advice on propagating if any one has any experience. Cheers- 2 replies

I did a stint for a company that sprays road side weeds in the Brisbane area (council contract) they also do bush regen work (it mostly involves spraying or removing weeds) Everything is sprayed, edibles and natives(roadside, footpath, traffic island scenario) included with little regard to drift. I would often see edible gardens on footpaths or front fence lines and declare them no spray zones, but I wasn't real popular for that reason. If you would prefer the Brisbane council not to spray out the front of your house do as Thunder suggested and keep it weed free or you can contact the council or company that currently has the contract (Technigro me thinks) and be put on a no spray list. While they use glyso, activators and surfactants are also added. Information (MSDS, toxicity, etc.) are available for each product individually but no information on the risk once all mixed together. Since patent period has finished for glyso and every man and his dog are now selling it, I will speculate down the track Monsanto or Monsanto/Bayer if the merge happens, will release a new product but not until liability for any damage caused from using glyso is shared with all the new companies that jumped on the band wagon. As in 10 years if glyso is agreed carcinongenic you will need to prove you were using glyso supplied by Monsanto and not the Bunnings version.

I can bring you one to the next Brisbane meet. Will likely be B caapi, B caapi 'Ourinhos' or smaller chances B caapi 'Cielo'. The chicken knocked a tray down and mixed em up so we will call it Banisteriopsis sp.

Cool cool. Look forward to seeing yall on the 5th. If any one has some tasty snow pea seeds they could hook me up with be appreciated, particularly the ones I have previously passed around. I lost the genetics after growing for the last 5 years and nothing is comparing to flavour or yield...sad times.

I some times ponder if this is what might have killed me. The cannabis I had consumed that day and night was from a random, had a funny taste too it and seemed to tighten my chest. I just assumed maybe had not been flushed or potentially sprayed with an insecticide. I really hate to imagine that people might add a synthetic to the fat, sticky girl parts.
