Don't forget these plants are sub-tropicals, they don't dig cold weather at all . The viridis won't handle full sun, but the caapi don't seem to mind it as long as they have enough water. You've basically just got to keep them alive until spring, when the warmer temps start to return.

I have 2 caapi's growing in 50cm self watering pots...they've been powering along for about 18mths now. I also have viridis, but for some unknown reason I've never been tempted to put them in "self waterers". The viridis I have are in 40cm black pots with saucers...I put about 40-50mm of gravel in the bottom of the pots, for drainage. If you've got thirsty plants the self-waterers work great. If your concern is "wet feet", then add a bit of perlite or course sand to your mix. Don't make the mistake of watering from the top, they work via a capillary action. If u water from the top eventually they'll pack down & the water will end up passing down around the sides....& of course don't forget a little bit of mulch to stop the top from drying out. Hey jwert, Sorry for ur loss & heartache mate. Maybe ur commitment to her freaked her out, last time I spoke with u things seemed to be getting pretty serious. You guys are still pretty young, the whole thing could have freaked her out a bit, maybe. Or maybe it was her parents ... . Needless to say, she will be one of many who help to teach u the ways of love. If u can take away some learning from the whole process then the next time shouldn't have to include the same lessons & heartaches. Take note...the latest amendment to this act was 1 May 2013. Whether or not it was specifically the Quote above that was enacted I can't tell. It would be worth a look at the other states, to see whether or not, there have been any similar amendments made in this type of vein.

I can't find anything on this scheduling for plants, but I do remember watching a news item about the current WA govt. T-Rex are a Dutch company that manufacture pedals...I have a T-Rex "tonebug"overdrive that I run on my board. In Oz they retail for around 200-250, but u can get a new one out of the US for about 100 inc freight. Very affordable, robust metal switch & casing with a nice warm, rounded O/D. I run mine on either my Vox - AC30CC2 or else my lil' "Egnater" tweaker 112 15watt practice amp...both amps are valve. My Nashville tele has a strat pick-up configuration = HSS. I run a very basic set-up these days with Reverb, O/D, Dist, Fulltone Octafuzz & Dunlop Wah...the reverb, O/D & dist are all tonebugs. For years i used a Vox tonelab SE pedal unit, but just couldn't quite get the right sound...good luck with it .

Leary isn't speaking of no-mind, he's referring to a state of bliss/ecstasy/euphoria (non-ego ecstasy)...no-mind, is the void or shoonyata. He doesn't say that this state is because of the drug, but more a case of the drug acting as a catalyst or key, to kick start this state of being. He says that this state of being is because of the individuals intention & that the amount of the drug has nothing to do with the state itself. During this state it is nearly impossible to communicate, as the bliss is like a constant orgasm of the mind (or even beyond mind). You exist in 2 realities simultaneously, but only just have a grasp of this reality...like being trapped behind the looking glass. If I could use the analogy of a "cerebral palsy" sufferers body, with a conscious mind existing inside that body. While at the same time this consciousness flickers between normal consciousness & a state of pure ecstasy. Bodily functions become quite a difficult manoeuvre, as in the example of a cerebral palsy sufferer.

Maybe we could have the inaugural meet on the May 25 weekend & if it's a success, then we could make it a quarterly affair. Ok, another possible date would be 4 weeks from now on the weekend of May 25th (full moon)...there would be less traffic & presence for the return trips home.

I was thinking possibly the May day long weekend & then I checked to get a date & it turns out the QLD govt has moved that holiday to October...WTF So the next long weekend after that will be the Queens birthday weekend, which starts on; Sat 8th June - Mon 10th June...that being the date 7weeks from now.
