those stenocacti, my god. you have an amazing collection mutant.
-
damn it, i feel your pain bundy bear.
-
my bad. and nah i'm all good thanks, already got a few, thanks for the offer though.
-
they make decent grafting stock and have very pretty flowers, still far from undesirable i say.

yep, those are reptile food. gotta cut the heads off mealworms that size if you want to feed them to your lizards though, i've been told they can actually chew through a reptile's stomach before being digested.

i'm not sure how a lack of sunlight would mean you had to bring them inside every night, maybe i'm missing something here? either way; most plants should be okay with that, unless the temperature change between indoors and outdoors is significant enough to cause shock, or your indoor conditions are far less humid than your garden or something. pretty sure in some places people bring certain plants inside at night to keep them out of the cold during winter.

no worries man, lehmannii is one of the few succulents i have that are properly labelled haha. speaking of which, i'd be interested in an ID for that first picture if you find out what it is, pretty sure i have the same plant.
-
photo number three looks a lot like it might be delosperma lehmannii?

sorry, quote button doesn't seem to be working for me. @bluntmuffin i've bioassayed the white variety and orange variety side by side a number of times, always fresh handpicked off the plant and then air dried in a cupboard for up to a week. to me var. alba actually seems moderately weaker than the orange variety. ): -
Enter The Void can't be beaten for trippiness in my opinion, it's far from being the most cheery movie though. being very, very tired and sitting close up to the screen, i swear it made me lightly hallucinate. EDIT: definitely NOT suitable for children.

nicely done on the 1000 mate. a packet of trichocereus would be great, how would i go about sending you that $2?
-
at a guess i'd say cuzco, i'm not knowledgable enough to tell for sure though. notice how the photo you've shown has smaller spines surrounding the one larger one? most of the photos i've seen of what's labelled as trichocereus glaucus show one large spine at the top with fewer smaller spines below it. if you're still wondering, i'd say create a new thread in the cactus ID area. this thread is really for admiring interbeing's cacti, and if you post it as an ID request, you'll probably have a definite answer from someone more experienced than i before you know it.
-
halcyon daze, it might be worth checking out Trichocereus Cuzcoensis as a possibility for your cactus. cuzcos are a pretty common bunnings cactus, whereas finding a glaucus seems pretty unlikely to me. they also share some features seen in the above glaucus, particularly the shape of its vegetative growth. amazing cacti by the way interbeing, can only hope i reach such a spectacular collection one day.

would love a pack of spach, mixed acacia and wizard of oz if they're still available. thanks a bunch jonstn, the generosity on this forum never ceases to impress me.

was it amongst paperbark trees? looks like it may be some sort of gymnopilus. although i wouldn't trust my opinion on that without a spore print and higher quality photos.
